Property was perfect for our New Years getaway. Comfortable for 4 couples. Friends enjoyed our karaoke on the giant TV! Nice quiet neighborhood but minutes from downtown.

Marilyn unfortunately didn't read the listing or is scammer and in that case should be ashamed of herself. She claimed there was no hot tub on the property, and stated she wanted a full refund after staying the entire stay during New Years. We clearly listed where the hot tub is on the property which is like steps from the driveway. How she missed it is beyond me and does not make any sense. She essentially stayed for New Years, and just made up a lie to not want to not pay. There is absolutely a hot tub on site, and it is located in the indoor garage that many guests have loved and enjoyed (see past reviews). I even had to call VRBO and explain the confusing situation and they also confirmed that their is a hot tub on site.

Some appliances didn’t work, dirty with spiderwebs in kitchen. Beds needed to be updated. Loved the small pool table in the main room. Spacious kitchen and main living room. Very small street and tight driveway to enter property. Nice big screen tv’s in each room.

Was a little taken aback when driving through the neighborhood…house is ok definitely look better in pictures. The hot tub was a disappointment being it is in a detcached garage which you don’t find out until the day of when you get the instructions. Our experience started off poorly due to almost no communication from the host. We received the entry code only five minutes before check-in, which was very stressful. When we arrived, the house had a moth infestation and was listed as five bedrooms but had only four, with no gym, no theater, and the “indoor” hot tub dirty actually outside in garage. It also claimed to sleep 12, which was impossible.Cleanliness was unacceptable. The stove and oven were dirty, the refrigerator had mold and missing shelves, the dishwasher was filthy, full of mold, and didn’t work, and the couch was so dirty we cleaned it twice. There were bug nests in the living room and near the fridge, and ladybugs all over the bathroom sink. The sliding door barely opened and the shade was broken, giving us no privacy.Worst of all, the water heater didn’t work. A master plumber in our group confirmed the elements and a shower cartridge were bad. The owner repeatedly told us to “let it warm up,” and we only got one or two showers all weekend, even with a six-month-old baby. We contacted the owner and VRBO, but nothing was resolved. We left Saturday instead of Sunday because we had cleaned everything ourselves and had no reason to stay. The owner offered just 50 back.This is our sixth year doing this Thanksgiving trip, and this was by far the worst house. I would rate it below zero if possible.

First, this guest implied they would leave a negative review if we didn’t provide a refund, which is against platform policies. They needed to leave early, but like most VRBO hosts, we have a clear and strict cancellation policy. We’ve welcomed many guests over the years, and we always strive to provide great value and a comfortable stay. Our home accommodates up to 12 guests for under $300 a night, with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a wide range of amenities. Comparable hotel stays for a group this size would easily cost $1,000–$2,000 per night. Before arrival, this guest expressed frustration about not receiving an early check-in, which we never guaranteed. Throughout the stay, we repeatedly offered to resolve concerns or send our team over to address any issues, but the requests shifted toward discounts and refunds instead. This reservation was for the Thanksgiving holiday, which requires a minimum four-day stay due to the extra preparation, cleaning, and the high likelihood of larger gatherings. This policy ensures we can manage turnover fairly and maintain the quality of the home for all guests. On the second day, we even offered a full refund for the remaining nights if the guest checked out by 4pm EST. They chose to continue their stay. We always aim to be fair and accommodating, and we believe we handled this situation as reasonably as possible.

Nice, clean space for a large group of people to enjoy.

I booked this Vrbo for my boyfriend's 21st birthday because of its proximity to the casinos. There were 10 of us and there was we comfortable fit in the space with each bedroom having 2 people and a few people choosing the couch. I had never rented a house before this and it was a great first experience. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised when there were plates, pots and pans, cups, and assorted kitchen utensils in the house. There was also a washer and dryer which came in handy. It was only about 15 to 20 minutes away from Foxwoods and surrounded by a variety of places to get food and stores like CVS. Overall it was a very nice home and a good fit for our group!

Good place for the price for a weekend get away with family

The house and the property were as expected. We were away to visit Mystic Seaport and Essex Train so it was a central point for us to both. We had kids so did not go to the casino, but it was very close. The rooms were a decent size and we also utilized the firepit in the back yard. Took a bit to get used to how to work the entertainment system, but the young kids figured it out. Only improvement would be some additional silverward. We like to make breakfast when we stay at these homes and could only find one butterknife and maybe 1 or 2 small spoons. Otherwise it was a good time and would recommend.
