"Homey Smokies" is a 4BR/3.5BA CABIN within Alpine Mountain Village Resort in the heart of Pigeon Forge, TN. Brought to you by Go Go Vacay Rentals LLC. The Parkway (1 mile), Dollywood (4 miles), Downtown Gatlinburg (8 miles), the Smoky Mountain National Park and Ober Ski Resort (11 miles) are within a short distance of the cabin. This newer cabin is located in a beautiful wooded location. Enjoy relaxing in a private hot tub and spacious decks. Inside, you can spread out in the open concept living space. Enjoy three parking spots as well as convenient access to the cabin. We follow all CDC recommended cleaning procedures. Amenities can vary due to malfunction inconveniences but we try to do our best to keep them as described.
The best thing about this property is its location. Few minutes from the main Parkway. The things that disappointed us was the cleanliness and overall the stuff inside is old, cheap and worn out. The front porch was like it never got cleaned ever. The chairs on it has thick layer of dust and cobwebs. Also see cobwebs around most of the corners but I guess thatâs fine since we are in the woods but since we been told that the cleaners cleaned the house along with pest control visit so we expected not to see that many cobwebs but for sure they totally ignored the front porch. Also, mattress was very uncomfortable and the bed itself makes noises when laying on them so very uncomfortable sleep we had. The bunk beds were dusty that we didnât put kids on it. Another annoying thing was that you canât control the fan speed upstairs. Itâs either fast or off, that chain to change the speed was removed or broken. So called game room was a joke because of small space. You canât have enough space to play pool and on top of it the pool table itself was in very bad shape. We left the property earlier at the night time instead of regular check out time in morning because of uncomfortable sleep. I hope these things can be fixed for the next guest.
The location was great if you want to be close to everything but not if you are looking for a view. The cabin was great everyone had their own room and bathroom. The host was very quick to respond back to us and sent someone to help us with the fireplace. The main thing that was a problem was they only allowed 2 garbage bags and for 9 people for 5 days and over Christmas that didnât work. We had to take our garbage and find a dumpster to throw it in. For the amount of money we payed for a place during Christmas it should have a Christmas tree. We brought a small tree with us but it would have been alot easier had there been one. We have stayed in cabins before that were decorated and had a tree. There was not a pac-man arcade. Overall we did have a great time and would consider renting again.
We had a great time and the cabin met all our needs as far as sleeping areas, kitchen and living room/dining room. We were not able to use the hot tub due to it not being filled with water and cleanliness. Once we filled it with a hose, Lisa came from maintenance and took care of the rest. However, it was low of water the next morning. I assume they have a leak. Also, the sink in the kitchen leaked into the cabinet, we called maintenance and they never came. We put a bowl under the sink to catch the water. All bedrooms need night stands, some had none and it just needs general maintenance and TLC. It was nice but not for the price we paid.
This one was easy to get into the back door for my father in law with bad knees, and not alot of stairs. The kids loved the pool table upstairs. It was very clean & had everything we needed. So close to everything and very easy to get to even in the dark.
Overall the house was great and as advertised. It worked well for our group and we had a great time. There are some basic maintenance issue that the home needs like deck/stair railing repair. Inside stair railing repair, new tv remotes. Also my daughter noticed in the back 1st floor bedroom that there is a small slit/crack in one of the timebers allowing you to see daylight. But the house and location were great, as is the area.
Overall the stay was great! There is only one bath tub but the other two bathrooms have showers, this was no issue for my group. Only thing I would advise is if you plan on cooking bring skillets as the ones provided do stick quiet a bit (also not an issue for us). We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to both pools was within walking distance . Itâs is close to the main strip and has easy access to the back roads as well. Walls were thin but we expected that with a cabin. We would stay again.
This cabin met the needs of our family of 10 perfectly. Grandma and grandpa; adult son and family, adult daughter and family. We each had our own private bedroom and bath. Plus the grandkids had a bunk room and half bath. Good location, close to lots of attractions. The cabin had a few minor cosmetic things that needs attention, but overall a very pleasant experience.
The property was exactly as described online. It was a perfect getaway. Cabin was close to Dollywood and all of the attractions. My family and I had a wonderful time. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay.
The property was located close to the parkway and easy to get to. The area was quiet and clean. We noticed a few things didnât work in the cabin were broken or didnât work. We are glad we brought extra blankets because it got pretty cold and didnât have any extra blankets that we noticed to be easily accessible. Overall the cabin was a nice place for a family get together.
It was totally my oversight but the cabin is not handicap accessible and my husband is in a wheel chair. I focused on the number of bedrooms and maid sure there was a bedroom bathroom combo on the first floor but failed to consider getting in and out. Thus once in we limited opportunities of getting out. There were heavy rains and there were multiple leaks in the bottom bedroom from the ceiling
Our family stayed at this property for the Thanksgiving holiday and had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean and cozy and it was a short drive to the national park entrance. It was well equipped with cooking needs; we were even able to prepare a modified Thanksgiving feast!
This is the perfect location to all things in the area. Plus its one of the most convenient cabins to access. It was close to the entrance and had easy parking. Several in our group had great cabins, but the parking was awful and they had steep drives, stairs, etc. Not the case with this cabin. The low level and easy to access driveway was great for my older in-laws who have trouble climbing stairs. No problem at all for them. Plenty of room for six adults and three children, especially with the three full baths. The only thing I would recommend is a larger TV in the living area and more pillows on the beds. I would definitely stay here again!
We are a family who enjoys traveling across the world. We are fascinated by diverse cultures and cities. When it comes to travel, we are quite organized and normally have a pre-planned itinerary so that we can visit everything. When we visit a new place, the location is really significant to us. We like being close to our points of interest while also maintaining our privacy.
This house is in a fantastic location, allowing us to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains while still being close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg's attractions. We love the mountains and everything they have to offer, but we also enjoy spending time with our families while learning about and caring for the environment.
