Just a 10 minute walk from the ferry and 5 minute walk to Lake Tashmoo
This all wood home shows imprints of the artist who constructed the home in 2005, at nearly every turn. It's a very comfortable home, with four stories if you include the sleeping loft at the peak. There is a propane gas grill and a charcoal grill, an outdoor shower, hammock, multiple seating areas, a fire pit, and screened in porch. The location is incredibly convenient with tennis courts just a 3-4 min walk down the block, the village just over a half mile walk, and two kayaks and a paddleboard down at the Lake Tashmoo launch. The 4th bedroom has two twin size beds, one of which is a trundle.
What a dreamy family-friendly house! We had excellent warm weather when we visited, which created a bit of a conundrum - do we hang out in the dreamy house, or do we walk to the lake, library and the many shops on Main street? Dan was very communicative and helpful. This house is unique and comfortable. The kitchen was so very well stocked, that my spices remained packed during our stay. The dining table was beside the kitchen and was large and made for great family meals. The outdoor table was also large and we ate outside as often as we could in a beautifully designed yard full of color, and sculpture. Grill proved to be very useful. Art within the house was unique with a nice mix of island life and personal connections to other beautiful parts of our world. There were multiple spacious areas to gather, or even steal away to have some quiet alone time. Loved it and can't wait to return!
Our host was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. We had plenty of spaces to hangout both inside and outside for all of our family and friends. Three bathrooms made getting ready for our excursions easy and a nice big table was the perfect place for family meals together and games at night.
The house was clean and tidy when we arrived and we appreciated being able to use a full
Kitchen. We spent an entire week at this property and had a great time!
