About 6 months ago, while scanning vrbo, I noticed this house in Watersound. We actually owned this beach house at one time and sold it roughly 13 years ago so we were familiar with the layout etc. We thought it would be fun to head back to Watersound and celebrate my 60th birthday. Watersound is the best neighborhood on 30a, period, hands down. It is private and the beach is like no other on 30a. You have the ability to use golf carts to drive to the beach which is a huge plus for sure. The house is a reverse floor plan. There are 3 bedrooms, a foyer, laundry, family room on the first floor. The second floor is the main living floor which consists of living, dining, kitchen & 2 bedrooms. The 3rd floor is an bonus room with a bedroom attached and the 4th floor is a lookout - and yes you can see a peek a boo view of the gulf. If you have never stayed in a reverse floor plan - try it! I actually prefer it as it is cooler when sleeping at night. All of the rooms are gracious in size. Currently, this house needs attention. It is a rental house and the wear and tear shows. This house has a lot of deferred maintenance and it is evident. Frankly, a large portion of the items in the house were/are items we purchased 14 years ago, including kitchen items such as the plates and silverware. Time for a refresh! I will say the management company was GREAT communicating and fixing the issues that arose - there were several.
Great stay for the week at this house. Had everything we needed and plenty of room for all 11 of us adults and teenagers. Enjoyed using the outdoor grill and kitchen for our large group, much easier than trying to get 11 of us into a restaurant. Beds were very comfortable and great bathrooms attached to 4 of the bedrooms. Location was perfect! Would stay here again.
