Kiahuna Plantation Resort is the only beachfront condominium resort in Poipu. Amazing Views and Location

My spouse and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had the best time! Not only did we have a great beach view and short walk to get to it, but it’s also located near a few shopping areas that were easy to get to as well! The property was great, clean, and very quiet (aside from the roosters of course :P)!

We had a great time at the Kiahuna Plantation! The unit was clean and comfortable, the grounds we're beautifully landscaped and we were steps from the beach (there is a smaller beach right out front and it's about a 10 minute walk from Poipu beach as well). The resort is close to many amenities and South Kauai attractions. We would happily stay again.

Great views, easy beach access, and quiet

If your reason for coming to Kauai is to spend time on the beach relaxing and taking in the beauty of a tropical place, this is it! Watch for whales from the lanai, sunsets from the sandy beach, listen to birds and hear the waves all from this unit. It was a great experience!

Beautiful condo, beautiful view!!

This newly remodeled condo is beautiful and spotless, and the view is amazing. It is very quiet and peaceful at Kiahuna Plantation, yet just a 3 minute walk to Poipu Beach from our condo. We will definitely return here next year! Thank you Brendan!

Great Stay - 5th stay at the Kiahuna Plantation

We have stayed at the Kiahuna at least five times. We love the property. Property maintenance is excellent (although lawn trimmers, tree trimmers, leaf blowers, etc. can be noisy at times). The beach is lovely (although on this trip we spent more time at the beach opposite Brennecke's restaurant because the ocean there is better for the grandchildren). Still we love the beach between the Kiahuna and the Sheraton. Access to shopping and restaurants is excellent.

Great Stay in Poipu

Excellent condo. Nice size, convenient kitchen, bath, and bedroom. And although we were initially concerned about the lack of A/C, the breezes and overhead fans made the unit quite comfortable. We don't know what the condo looked like prior to the renovation, but the over work, workmanship, and finishes along with the new furniture made for a great stay.

The before was tired and outdated We wanted modern with a beach vibe. Our Electric appliances are all new energy efficient, lights are LED, reducing power usage to allow future permitting of AC install. Glad you had a great stay. Thank you for the nice review and comments. Come again.

While the condo is not exactly what comes to mind for me when I think of a penthouse, it is very comfortable and the remodel is tastefully done. The views from the deck are as billed and the property of the resort is great. It's a short walk to the beach, the athletic club, and to a great morning smoothie place. There is also many restaurants and shops close by. The bed was very comfortable and the plantation style blinds kept a wonderful breeze flowing through the condo. With the recent upgrade and the subsequent price increase we would probably not stay at this condo again. Simply for us, the cost vs benefit would not work in the future as there are others (not as modernized and up to date) available at lesser prices. All in all we had a great experience.

Hey Michael, Penthouse is usually the upper unit of a condo building, with vaulted ceilings, a commanding view, and considered to have luxury features that surrounding condos do not. Cmon…… It’s a Penthouse! LOL… Happy to read you enjoyed your vacation time in Poipu. Kiahuna Plantation is a great place to experience Kauai’s, Poipu adventure. Nice Community with Good Amenities

We had all we needed here. The views were lovely, great beach and the Athletic Club where the pool is located, from this unit was about a 10 minute walk and it was very nice as well with a complete outdoor style gym, tennis, pool, hot tub and very good restaurant. This particular unit is called a 2nd floor unit but it is up 3 flights of steps. The plus side is that it does provide great views. The unit itself is not overly private since it’s located at the top of the steps . With no a/c we needed to keep the blinds in the open position for a cross breeze. At night if was very comfortable for sleeping. I must add though that the management company was very responsive and I would certainly contact them again if I was returning to Kauai.

I brought my pregnant wife here. Making the mistake of renting a room without A/C. I've been to Kauai a dozen or so times and even the cheapest of spots had it, so I didn't even think to check with a room this expensive. Unfortunately the room was over 80 on the top floor. I tried messaging the company to see if we could switch rooms or if anything else could be done. They responded with they could bring up more fans. There was already 8 fans in the room... Since the mistake was mine I decided to purchase a small-tower air conditioner and have it delivered. We didnt fasten, tape, screw, or otherwise modify the room. It wouldn't cool down the whole place but as long as we could have one room slightly cooler, my wife and I could at least sleep. On the 4th day of the trip I got a voicemail and a text message saying someone had photographed the small vent, it was against some rule (that isn't in the signed document), it has to be removed, security would be coming by, and we may be charged some fine and any additional electrical costs. Their office was closed, rather than waiting we left on day 4 and went to the Sheraton. They never tried to reconcile or reach out. STRESSFUL!

This property is clearly advertised as not having air conditioning. Despite that, you installed an unauthorized portable AC unit, which the AOAO flagged and reported to us as a safety violation. Random addons like this are strictly prohibited due to fire and electrical risks due to potential overload on the breakers which can endanger both guests and property. Our office was open and in regular contact with you throughout your stay, offering assistance and multiple alternatives. However, once the AOAO reported the violation, we were obligated to act immediately. We understand your frustration, but your actions violated community rules and created a serious safety concern that we could not ignore.

Great view, but...

The condo has a wonderful view of the ocean., but....The bedroom window and door faces the stairwell, so we didn't feel comfortable leaving the windows open at night. The condo has no air conditioning, which made it very warm during our stay. We usually are fine with no ac, but not this time as there wer no trade winds. Because there was pest control during our stay, we ended up being locked out once we came back from our day of travels. It took the property company an hour to let us back in, with no compensation. We missed an hour at the beach that we were hoping for. If the view is what you ar looking for, this condo is for you. Otherwise, you may want to consider looking further.

Aloha Alexis, we agree, the view and unit is fantastic. Also, we agree, when the trades are blowing it is most pleasant, but there are times the days and nights are calm. Sorry you did not feel comfortable leaving the louvers even slightly ajar, as those windows are quite safe. That is how most units on the property allow the trades to cool things down. The pest control is a regular maintenance needed and I am not sure related to your keys not working. We got there as quickly as we could with a freshly programmed set for you. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Spectacular ocean view condo

I couldn’t be happier with this condo for my week in Kauai. I spent part of every day sitting out on the lanai looking at the ocean. It’s beautifully decorated and very well appointed and had everything I needed. Highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway spot.

We couldn't have found a better location to stay in Kauai. The condo was spotless and the decor was very upscale. The sofa and chairs were very comfortable. You do have to climb a few flights of stairs but the view was worth it. It was such a great location for getting to the beach and the restaurant was right next door. And it was also very near the Poipu Shopping Center which we visited often to watch the free shows, eat and purchased food items at the General Store. We could see whales from the condo as well as all along the beach. It was very nice to have beach chairs and an umbrella that was provided. We spent many hours just sitting by the beach watching everything around us. Brendan also gave us many recommendations on where to eat and things to do. He was very quick to respond whenever we had a question. It works so well through the VRBO App to communicate with the owner.
