Long weekend

The location was perfect!! A block to the ferry and to the corner market. Bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed for four nights. Will definitely be back this summer!

Check in was super easy. We were a little worried about the parking, but there’s plenty of it any given time of day! We enjoyed the cute little restaurant Todos Santos for breakfast and it was walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice studio on a quaint island

The location was a bit awkward at first, but once we discovered the alleyway behind the building to the stairs up to our unit, it made dropping off bags and such easier. The studio was nicely appointed. I have difficulty with stairs and the loose railing at the top of the staircase was challenging. They let us check in early and never bothered us during our stay.

Perfect location

Very convenient location on the island close to the ferry. Quiet neighborhood. Nice balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Would stay here again.

Great location!

Such a great location, it was a little noisy at night so you might want to bring earplugs, also there is no Ac. But we loved it. Super comfortable bed. We will be back for sure!

Will stay again!

This is a great little room on Balboa Island. It reminded me of the Med; storybook sleepy coastal town, mostly quiet w the hustle and bustle of daily life. The location is phenomenal, the linens were good, the bed is comfortable, the host was efficient. I was nervous about street parking and had no problem finding a spot; just paid attention to the signs. Finding the apt is a little tricky, the host gives clear directions, it's easy to access. It's an easy walk to everything, including a small market w essentials and the ferry. Balboa Island is a storybook in Lego Land! There's so much to see walking through the streets and along the coast; it's impressive. Would stay here again for sure!

No wall connect to the next room

The next room is divide it with a regular door not a wall, all the noise next door we try tos sleep and we heard all the conversations, and was rented to 4 students, we left, I texted the manager to tell the situation and didn't answer me back!

Nothing was given to us concerning our check in or the code to get in the room, I had to call to get this information and then text them again when they did not send it like they said they would. ...Ad states PARKING....LIE...It does not come with parking! We would not have rented without parking (and they know this).There is street parking only and it's impossible on Balboa Island. I told. the management to remove the parking from the Ad but it still there. This is a converted room over the garage. I had to pick up and move garbage in order to get our bags by the overflowing garbage barrels that had not been taken out for who knows how long. When we entered the room the shag rug looked liked like a crime scene it was so dirty and the room had to be a 100 degrees (no windows open/No AC). The refrigerator is 20 years old and leaning to the left. If you are 250 lbs or bigger you will not fit in the bathroom or shower. They left 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 2 wash clothes for our week stay. I spoke to the owner and she said she had seen the garbage and had told her management company days earlier about overflowing trash. They did come over and remove the trash. I asked management company if two towels were it for the week and I was told there is a washer/dryer in the garage. They said they would have more towels delivered in the morning...none were delivered, until the following evening an Amazon package was delivered to one of the other units and when we asked if anything was delivered they said a Amazon package came but did not have any name on it which ended up being the towels. I would describe this place as a seedy hotel room on Balboa Island.

We had fun

It was a simple, no frills place but it was great for us. We just wanted to be on the island. And the location was perfect - right next to the ferry, but tucked away in a quiet alley. Cute coffee place next door and a beautiful walk to restaurants and shops downtown. Parking wasn’t too difficult (we found a spot a block away). It did get a little warm, but we made due with the fans and windows. If you’re thinking about staying on the island and don’t want to spend too much, this is a perfect spot!

Excellent long weekend

The property was exactly as described. We were very happy with the location, and used it as a home base. We walked to Newport Pier several times (approximately 2 miles) along the boardwalk. We often walked to the restaurants and stores on Balboa Island which was very close. There is a great specialty coffee shop on the closest corner from the unit. There is a mini market next to the ferry. The unit was very clean. Having the refrigerator in the unit was extremely convenient. There was a very nice inflatable mattress, beach chairs, and beach towels available. I definitely recommend this rental!
