Litchfield Retreat offers resort-like condo living uniquely located within the quiet neighborhood of North Litchfield Beach coveted for its relaxed character and uncrowded stretch of sand along one of the finest beaches on the east coast.

Positioned directly across from beach access on second row makes it easy to come and go on foot. Carrying your favorite beach provisions is a breeze thanks to the wide boardwalk over low dunes with sloped ramps at each end.

Retreat amenities include the year-round outdoor pool tucked within a tropical courtyard of towering palm trees, central picnic grilling area, outdoor rinsing station along the beach path, wireless internet, three elevators, as well as two coin-operated laundry rooms with trash chutes on every floor.

Bring (or rent) bikes and pedal along the popular Waccamaw Neck Bikeway that passes through this community. Head north to Huntington Beach State Park to see shorebirds and other coastal wildlife inhabiting the fresh water and saltmarsh estuaries. Head south to shop, find great local dining, and explore the charm of Pawleys Island.

TWO LEVELS: (2 Bedrooms) 1 KING & 1 SINGLE sleeper sofa, 2 SINGLES, 1 QUEEN sleeper sofa in LR, 2.5 baths. Northeasterly facing townhouse style condo offers open concept common areas with smooth surface flooring on first floor as well as a powder room and covered balcony with peek-a-boo ocean view. Third floor end position boasts abundant natural light. Carpeted bedrooms and two full baths are located on second floor (downstairs).

AMENITIES: Cable flat screen TVs-3, DVD-1, wireless internet, fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fan in dining area, covered balcony, on-site pool and grilling area, access to ground level locker w/owner beach gear. Laundry facility, trash chute, elevator service located on every floor.

HOUSEKEEPING / LINENS: All stays include departure clean service, bed and bath linens, and beds made upon arrival.

LENGTH OF STAY: 5-night minimum mid-June through early-August. 3-night minimum during other times of the year. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome.

No Smoking. No Pets (retreat rules prohibit guest pets).

The location is great but that is all.

This property is in need of a serious update, the original carpet, peeling wall paper, broken blinds and spiders that management had to call an exterminator for ensure we won't return. The positives are it is spacious and great location that is all.

Convenient location

The property is very convenient and short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well-equipped although we didn't cook! Pool and complex very clean with supervisor on duty to make sure all guests were true renters. Condo itself is spacious and layout great for early nighters as bedrooms are downstairs. But...it is very outdated and needs quite a bit of sprucing/freshening up. For a spur of the moment trip and being busy with friends it was all you need. It was clean and convenient. Laundry room...on site not in condo...was very clean and well kept. I'm a laundry nut, hate to have dirty laundry, and this was a huge concern for me when renting. However, it worked out fine.

North Litchfield Beach is easily among the prettiest beaches in South Carolina and is locally prized for its uncrowded, quiet reputation. While it has several public access ways, the entire length of North Litchfield Beach is bordered by a residential community untouched by commercial enterprise. Grocery stores, popular dining venues, and local eclectic shops are conveniently close by however.

The North Litchfield Beach community resides along a bike path that meanders into Huntington Beach State Park where visitors can observe the beauty and wildlife of the Lowcountry sand dunes and wetlands. North Litchfield Beach is contiguous with Huntington Beach to the north and Litchfield Beach to the south, spanning 7 miles from end to end. The beach is characteristically wide with soft white sand bounded by low lying sand dunes and the blue-green ocean.

Just 2 miles away is Brookgreen Gardens, another local treasure. Brookgreen displays world renowned sculpture amidst acres of lush gardens and majestic oaks and offers miles of walking paths through what once was a working rice plantation. It is also home to the only accredited zoo on the Carolina coast, where you will see rescued native animals in their natural habitats.
