(Please note: our property is currently listed For Sale, but you will not be asked to allow a showing during your stay.) Built in 1920, this Tudor-style home has been completely redone and looks great for her age! Centrally located & within walking distance to much of Alpine, let the Sugar Moon be your home away from home!
The property was great. We were in town for the Tolbert Chili Cookoff in Terlingua and this was a great base camp. There is a great grocery store across the street and a lot of places to eat close by. The host for this property was great and helped with all of our questions. I would highly recommend this as an Alpine TX destination.
The cutest little house that was conveniently located across from a little supermarket. Itâs walking distance to the downtown area with shopping and restaurants. The property was easy to get to and had a very open, spacious floor plan.
We had a wonderful stay! The property was lovely â very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring Alpine, with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. Highly recommend this spot for a great Alpine experience
The residence was clean and location was great. Communication with the owner was excellent. Could not ask for more in a rental. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a blast spending thanksgiving here. The house was perfect for us. Nice that everything was in walking distance too. Favorite part was the fire pit area.
This was a great little house in a perfect location to all the sights in and around the area!!!.. walking distance to almost anywhere you wanted to go in town.. a great little grocer across the street and good restaurants and 2 really great coffee shops down the street.. the house was neat and clean and had everything you needed.. thank you Sugar Moon for a great stay!!!!!
We had the best stay at Sugar Moon! The rental was in the perfect location to access food and even walk to view the murals. The coffee and amenities were just the cherry on top!
We loved our stay at Sugar Moon in Alpine, Texas. It was so cool that we could access the house with an app on our phone. The place is perfectly located in downtown Alpine, right across the street from the grocery store. We had a great time! 5 stars!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved being walking distance from downtown. The house was clean, well stocked and tastefully decorated. Beds were comfy! We couldnât have asked for more and hope to stay at the house again.
We stayed at Sugar Moon 4 nights. The home was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. It was such a nice respite each night after touring the Big Bend area. We wished we had more time just staying at the house. Host Shelly was always available for any questions. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!
The house is beautiful and well appointed! The small touches that the hosts add though are what makes it really special! From the basket of goodies and personal note with maps and happening events to the plush, thick towels, Shelley and Shack really know how how to make you feel welcome and comfortable. If youâre visiting Alpine, look no further, this is the place to stay!
This was one of the best vrbo's I've ever stayed. Everything was easy, clean and full of exceptional quality. They left some snacks, water bottles in the fridge, a book full of Alpine history and things to do, it was such a great stay. 5 stars for sure!
Both retired school teachers, my husband and I moved to Alpine in 2017. We had always wanted to have a vacation rental, and acquired this property in 2019. We completely updated the property, which had been severely neglected. Our goal was to provide all the modern comforts while still retaining the charm of a 100-year old house. Come see us, we believe you'll agree.
Very centrally located and within walking distance to most of downtown Alpine. Located within two hours drive to Big Bend National Park and closer than that to much of the area, it is a perfect headquarters to exploring this part of West Texas.
What we hear the most from guests is that walking in to the Sugar Moon is like re-visiting your grandmother's house. While we do provide modern comforts, the architecture and design of this home is reminiscent of days-gone-by, from the ironing board cabinet in the kitchen, the telephone cabinet built into the hallway, and the milk drop by the side door, which allowed the local milk man to pick up used bottles and leave fresh milk.
