Perfect vacation home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a lovely location and nice apartment. We stayed here with our two small kids and four adults, and had the best time! The stairs may be stressful for toddler parents as the kids love climbing them! But for us, it worked out just fine. We loved watchingthe sunset from the balcony and walking down to the beach. The pool area was great for the kids.The host is kind and replies quickly if there is any issue.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Kamaole Sands recently for a week and it was a perfect location with easy access to everything needed to make the trip amazing. The property itself is well equipped and the unit was the perfect size for our family of 4. Walks every morning for our coffee (and cinnamon rolls) treat and beyond. Very walkable area with LOTS of food/drink options nearby.

Great spot close to the beach!

This was a great condo to stay for a weekend that is walking distance from the beach and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. You can also see the beach a bit form the balcony.

We enjoyed our stay

This property is gorgeous! We had a few hiccups with this unit such as: Upstairs toilet handle broke Air conditioner went out Front security door handle broke off. *** This property Manager was amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating during all these concerns we encountered. I would highly recommend this VRBO !

So-so

Bring a flashlight. I’m not even kidding. The lighting in the loft is one lamp set on a main level relay. It’s so dim you cannot see in the drawers or even read. When you walk in, the entry way feels like a shoddy apartment. It’s an “ok” vacation stay but for the money, it’s hard not to feel annoyed about what it lacks. Property was lovely. Management was good, condo was meh. The vibe was minimal investment, maximal pricing.

Comfort and Convenience

While the view was more of the condominium’s expensive courtyard and pool area, the large spacious grounds and well manicured property are a stunning addition to the nearby ocean. The bedrooms are quite nice, the upper loft, especially. It is an open loft so sound travels between the bedroom and the living room - which was not an issue for our adult group. The stairs going up to the loft are a lot of fun! The kitchen is spacious and exactly as pictured. There were parts of various coffee makers, but no complete coffee solution, so we had to improvise to brew the Hawaiian coffee we had purchased. It’s definitely a clean and safe experience with security guards in golf carts and plenty of parking. An important thing to know is there are beach towels, and chairs and an umbrella in the second bedroom closet. I highly recommend this location when staying in Kihei. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great property, but unit is seriously lacking.

Overall we put this unit as average at best. Pro's - The location of the property is very good as it's directly across from a park, a nice beach, and a great snorkel location. It's also an easy walk to the main areas of Kihei. - The bed in the master bedroom loft was extremely comfortable. - The manager of the unit was extremely responsive and very helpful to resolve the issues that arose. Con's - The master bedroom is very dark. There's only a bedside lamp to illuminate the area and the other switch is powered by the switch that controls some up lighting. So if you want to charge a phone on the bedside table while sleeping it won't work unless the lights are on. - There were no BBQ utensils. With over a dozen BBQ's on the property it would make sense to have some basic utensils to BBQ with, but the utensils were so limited, there weren't even tongs. Once mentioned to the manager they brought something for us to use. - Front bedroom is extremely stuffy and hot with no air flow. The window screens are also very thick with dust. - Living room furniture is very basic and uncomfortable to lounge on. When it's raining and you're indoors this furniture is uncomfortable and hard to kick back and relax on. Overall, we'd stay at this facility again, but likely not this unit.

Wonderful stay!!

My family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights before heading to Oahu. It was our first trip to Hawaii and it was awesome. The condo is exactly as described. The kitchen and W/D certainly came in handy. The view from the balcony of the mountains to the east, the resort pool and ground to the south and the ocean to the west is incredible. The resort grounds are beautiful and a 5 minutes walk from the condo to the beach just across the street. I can't really call the complaints, but my only "concerns" were: 1) It was pretty warm in the condo when we arrived around 4 and the A/C really didn't catch up until 8 or so; 2) The downstairs bedroom stays warm pretty much all the time since there's no A/C. We had the ceiling fan, two extra fans, and the door open the whole time, and it was still warm. A portable A/C would be a good add. 3) The outside lighting in this particular building came on well after dark and after all the other buildings in the complex. Not the safest if you're carrying anything other than a flashlight. 4) An alarm that sounded like a smoke detector went off a few minutes after we started a load in the dryer. It took us 5 minutes with the blaring alarm to figure out it was a water detector under the bathroom sink. Good to have in a rental to protect against leaks. Not so good when you're unaware of what and where it is.

2 weeks in paradise

The location was perfect. It’s a short walk across the street to the beach and park. The resort property is beautiful and well maintained. The location in Kihei makes it easy to take day trips anywhere on Maui.
