Hello and welcome to Hawks Mountain Farm, a working farm with gardens, chickens, two yaks, four donkeys and an 1820 farm house. It borders a 2200 acre wildlife area and the vibrant Okemo Valley Region - lots to see and do.

Best little get away

My husband and I love visiting Dave and Carol‘s place this time we got to meet all of the fun animals and enjoy fresh chicken, eggs, and goose egg! They are so welcoming and have a sweet little place to stay while we are skiing. We look forward to staying again.

Great place to stay for a ski weekend

This cozy little place is perfect for weekend skiing. It’s a short 25 minute drive to Okemo. Great big living room and kitchen stocked with essentials. We really love having this sweet spot to stay at.

Beautiful spot in a natural setting. Property owner was very informative about the areas around us as well as the area we were in. A tour of his rescue animals was very enjoyable and informative. It was the perfect getaway. The apartment supplied everything we needed. I would highly recommend a stay there.

Such a warm and friendly place to stay! Wonderful hosts.

The apartment is clean, cozy and welcoming. Set on an out of the way road, but close to Springfield. The property is beautiful. David and Carol and great hosts. We got the farm tour, and met the donkeys, yaks, grass and chickens. We will be back!

Peaceful getaway

Pleasant stay within a short drive of Okemo. The linens had a heavy dousing from the dryer sheets, but otherwise was perfect.

Our stay was great, the house was very clean and comfortable. We went snowboarding at Okemo and it was a quick 20 minute drive.

Nice quiet country setting

Carol and David were wonderful and accommodating hosts. Easy drive to Okemo. Safe access to unit in the winter needs some improvement. The tour of the farm was fun and informative. Overall, great place to stay!

Great space, close to Okemo

I stayed here for a week of skiing at Okemo. The space was very nice and bigger than anticipated. The location is great - quiet with wooded surroundings but still an easy drive to the mountain. Carol and David were great hosts and quick to respond to any questions. Also a great place for remote work - the wifi was strong and I had no problems with video calls. I would stay here again.

Peaceful Retreat

The unit is very cozy and comfortable. Owner responded quickly to all inquiries and the check in process was quick and smooth. Location is 15-20 minutes from Ludlow and Claremont. About 30 minutes to Killington or Woodstock. Beautiful area!

Girls weekend on a farm

This place was absolutely lovely! My best friend and I stayed here the first weekend in August.we really enjoyed our stay
 The space offers a lot of room and a full kitchen. The owners were extremely kind and provided water bottles, fresh eggs, and a complementary bottle of Chardonnay for our stay here. They also introduced us to the animals at the farm, which was lovely
 The donkeys are so nice! Overall, we had a great time reconnecting with nature while still being in a good area to drive to ski resorts to do a summer lift activity. We definitely would love to come back!

Ski Vacation

Great stay with Carol and Dave. They are wonderful hosts and very clean nice place to stay for ski trip to okemo. Quick drive to mountain. Dave went above and beyond for us when we forgot something from home. Very nice people. Thankful for their hospitality. They Treat you to nice wine fresh eggs and popcorn. Lovely touches and clean nice bright place. Would stay again!

Owner, Carol, was wonderful. Once booked, we talked thru VRBO app. Carol stocked fridge w/wine, fresh eggs from farm, etc. Carol, offered tour of farm, meet animals. WOW, I would've loved to do farm adventure. Unfortunately, had to cancel last minute because of a tragic death in my family. Kindly Carol offered full refund. and offered to refund in full

Good stay for the weekend

My bf and I stayed here for a holiday weekend to snowboard at Okemo. The Vrbo was clean and had everything we needed including coffee. The smart tv was nice to have. The bed was really soft so we ended up sleeping on the futon one night. It’s up a dirt road up a mountain about 20 mins from okemo. The place is a unit attached to the owners home. They communicated well and we had no problems!

4 days of skiing

The accommodations are roomy, but basic. We were a bit unlucky with a couple of things going out of order on us. But those were addressed rather promptly. Carol and David were genuinely welcoming. David showed us the property with wonderful animals - donkeys. And we enjoyed eggs from the farm’s chickens. We came with an idea to ski Okemo. The distance was advertised as 7.6mi. In reality it was 14-15mi. Nothing terrible even after a snowfall. Took us 25-30 min.

Hello! I'm a native Vermonter who moved away, then came back with a new appreciation for my home state. I've worked in the non-profit world for a lot of my life. Hawk Mountain Farm is my family home. Our farm is about simple living, outdoor appreciation with lots of animals, gardens and outdoor living - we want to share it with you.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our property is scenic and serene, off the beaten path, and part of the very vibrant Okemo Valley Region with tons to see and do and outstanding dining options. Be as busy as you want, or maybe not, its up to you.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our farm provides lots of beautiful mountain views and the company of farm animals - chickens, donkeys (rescue) and two Tibetan yaks. We have expansive outdoor living space, pergola, outside dining, fire pit, lots of flowering plants and a large vegetable garden. The apartment is upstairs (12 steps), very private with it's own entrance and dedicated parking. It has a full service kitchen with dishes, utensils, pots & pans. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, overhead fan, 43" HD TV, recliner and bookcase with books. The bathroom has supply of soft towels, a lighted medicine cabinet, bathtub/shower. The living room has a leather reclining couch, fold-out futon, recliner chair, 43" HD TV, bookcase/books, internet.
