The house was perfect for everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway with my family. Everything was clean and sufficiently stocked with all that you need. The wonderful back porch was my favorite place to be. Watching the lake and wildlife on a beautiful morning was everything we wanted. Roasting s'more's on an evening and grilling burgers in the back by the water was really nice. The proximity to town and surrounding restaurants and groceries was excellent. Everything within 5-10 mins. We had a lovely time staying here and visiting Cedar Creek Lake.
What a lovely vacation home! It's gorgeously done, and such a pretty porch/water view! We spent four days here fishing and just relaxing with our dog. Everything you need is truly at your disposal (great kitchen set up!) and the rooms are decorated exceptionally well and with fun, bright colors. Extra twin beds in each bedroom are so fun for kids. We felt at home instantly! There is a Brookshires just a few minutes away, so you can pick up needed groceries. Laura was an amazing host. We texted her several times and she answered immediately. The only surprise we had during our stay was that the neighbor's dog, a tiny Yorkie, is able to walk through the fence posts on the side of the house, and she greeted us on our porch steps the first evening. Our dog has issues with other dogs, so we were concerned. Laura talked to the neighbors, as did we, and they very nicely kept the dog out of our yard during the rest of our stay. Overall, a wonderful stay, superb home, and the very best host!
We loved the house. The neighborhood was quiet. My son caught a few fish. We had a family get together for our youngest childâs 10th birthday. We had 6 adults and 3 kids (10, 13, 16). There was plenty of room for all of us! The only issue we had was the white fencing by the lake was not secure. Thankfully my kids are old enough to be careful.
Two friends and myself just had a wonderful week at your cute Waterfront house on Cedar Creek Lake. The location was great and easy to get to. We had everything that we needed including a great guide to area restaurants and things to do and a beautiful view to enjoy. We love coming to Cedar Creek Lake and hope to come back soon!
We had a nice 3 nights stay. The inside was clean but the outside needs a little more attention. The porch and lights were full of spider webs, the BBQ was too dirty to grilled our hamburgers on it. Also, fyi, the water is brown in the reservoir, so if you want to swim, make sure your family knows about it before you go . They have lots of spices, but few bottles were just empty âŠ.
The property was beautiful! It was large enough for all of our family and we made some wonderful memories! There are a few suggestions I'd like to make. The skillets very much need to be replaced. They are tired. Also, the mattresses are terrible. They are very hard. Actually there wasn't even a mattress, it was just a foam pad. Honestly i would love to stay again but will not be because of those mattresses. Everything else was great!
We had a family reunion here! We had 12 guests staying, plus 3 more visiting with dogs during the day. All 12 had beds, not pull-out couches, including 2 young kids who slept on the bunkbeds. The house was very clean and well designed. There is plenty of seating inside and out, so we were all able to eat meals together. The huge back porch was AMAZING. We spent most of our time outside, with a view of the lake, fans on the porch, and tables for playing games. The kids loved the easy lake access off the dock, and swam every day in the cove. The water in the cove was about 2.5 feet deep, so could easily bring a boat to the dock if needed, though we just used kayaks. The house, yard, and fence are in good condition and well cared for. Bedrooms were a little small, but the beds were comfortable, so it was easily manageable, and there were plenty of towels and blankets. The owner provided a lot of amenities for kids, laundry, cooking, and outdoor use. Cooking for 12 was easy in that kitchen! We appreciated all the small touches, like shampoo in the showers and spices in the kitchen. If you are staying for more than 2 nights, bring additional toilet paper and paper towels, though there are stores and gas stations nearby. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and we felt safe with the kids playing outdoors. We enjoyed watching all the water fowl that used the cove, including ducks. We also caught several fish, right off the dock! Will definitely stay again!
The home was as listed and pictures were all very accurate. Plenty of beds for a large family and lots of places to lounge and visit. Enjoyed the back yard and deck. Kids swam and paddle boarded. Very well appointed kitchen. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Overall Aplus.
This was our first visit to Cedar Creek and weâll definitely be back! Great location right on the water with beautiful views. We were able to fish right off the dock and caught some catfish. We loved being able to bring our dog and the fenced in yard was perfect for this! Plenty of room for our family. Communication with the hosts was prompt and very helpful. Thanks for a great first visit.
Lovely home, very clean, beautiful porch for just sitting and enjoying the peaceful lake. The kitchen is well supplied. Great to be able to use the garage. Comfortable beds. Owner/manager was easy to contact and very helpful. The location has a good view of the lake. Like all properties at Cedar Creek Lake that I know of, the neighborhoods are crowded and the other houses are really close. No big deal; just fyi. Brookshire's grocery store is close, and Cedar Creek Brewery has a fun Trivia Night on Thursdays.Wonderful to get away and be on the lake like this. We were all super pleased with this property!
We had the best time ever! The house was just as described, there is everything you need to make your vacation perfect. I love to cook & grill for everyone and there are all the tools there to do that. Less the crock pot, but we checked with the owner & brought our own. We mainly hung put on the huge porch and talked. Do keep in mind, if you like watching tv on vacation, there are only 2, one in the living area & 1 in the master. Overall, it has been one of our best trips! We are already taking about staying here again. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had! Neighbor was friendly! And the view of the lake is amazing!!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.
wechecked with the owner & brought arown.
Perfect little getaway from the colors in the bathrooms to the perfect view from the porch. We enjoyed this family short vacation. Caught some fish and a buzz lol. We took advantage of making some smores under the stars with the sound of the lake. Perfect!
We don't live far, but wanted to be right on the water for the 4th, it was a great stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, and more. The host was very easy to contact and the weather was great. The boat launch is very close, and although the water was too low (and there was a electrical pipe in the water by the dock that had come loose) and we were not able to tie our boat up, it was still very east to use the public dock/boat launch. Besides putting the boat in the water we never left the house, spending out evenings watching the fireworks around the lake, thanks!
We purchased this lake house because we fell in love with it the minute we walked through the door. The HUGE open room in the center of the home, with amazing lake views brought us peace. We love to travel, but most of all we love our family & friends. We believe we found the perfect place to spend time together and enjoy a little bit of God's beautiful creation!
Many homes around the lake were built in the 70's and 80's. We wanted a newer home, one with water views. For us, this home was a rare find, a treasure, a perfect lake home offering privacy, room to play and magnificent views. We are also on one level - that means NO STAIRS!
