The house is beautiful! We loved that it was right on the water and we were able to see some of the wildlife. We would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay there again!

Amazing secluded peaceful location with a spectacular view! It’s comfortable and well furnished. Well worth a stay if you like the peace and quiet of gorgeous Maine coast. And easy access to the stunning Schoodic loop.

What an adventure staying at Martha’s slice of heaven! Driving down the extra long, dirt driveway to the remote coastline location was the first clue that this was going to be a special getaway! Martha’s home was full of eclectic treasures, particularly the extra cool mobile hanging from the ceiling in front of the floor to ceiling windows that overlook the waterway. The bed was especially comfortable! The kitchen was stocked with everything to prepare a meal. We enjoyed walking outside of the cabin, along the remote coastline over the ageless rock formations. Almost didn’t need to go to the National Park…the same beauty was right outside Martha’s front door.

This property was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The view was spectacular and the location was perfect. So glad we had the opportunity to stay. Check in was super easy and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Fabulous secluded cottage! Check in was easy with lockbox, very clean and inviting. Communication with Martha was great, always responsive. I only wish we could have stayed longer than 5 days!

Maine vacation house

This house is in a wonderful location. We enjoyed the beautiful view, wildlife, and exploring the area. The house was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Perfect get away from a fast paced lifestyle. Don’t expect to sit and watch TV, sitting on the deck overlooking the bay is the best entertainment you will find. Everything was perfect

Peaceful

We had a wonderful and peaceful time. We loved that this place was secluded with an awesome view. We saw a family of harbor porpoises and a couple of seals every morning and in the evening. This place was everything we were expected and more.

Wonderful stay.

The house is set up wonderfully to hang out for the week. The beds are very comfortable. Spent many hours on the deck watching the tide go in and out. Also spent time at Acadia and going up the coast. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Didn’t want to leave!

What a beautiful spot! The water, the rocks, the sky! And we live in a beautiful spot in Vermont, but miss the ocean. And Schoodic Point, one of the best places on earth, is nearby. The cottage is comfortable and felt friendly and welcoming. Staying there for even just a week did us good!

Perfect getaway

We have been coming back to this cabin for several years, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy all the beauty around you. We saw eagles, seals and dolphins out in the harbor, our daughter caught fish right out front of the house. It’s peaceful and secluded, but not far from Schoodic and other places to explore. If you are looking to relax and enjoy nature this is the place.

Relaxing Vacation!

Just what we were looking for...a great place to relax with lots of exploring available. The house was very clean and very comfortable. Loved the deck...we used it a lot! Not having been there before, it was a bit scary arriving in the forest after dark, but we never felt unsafe and giggled about it in the morning! We loved our stay!

Excellent location

It was awesome. Total privacy. View of water with lots of wildlife. Saw 2 Eagles, hummingbirds, deer, dragonflies, red squirrel and turkey flocks. House was great on water with views in multiple directions. Had everything you could need.

Secluded retreat

We loved our stay in Martha's beautiful, well-equipped, and welcoming home. The access to the rocky shore, views of the water, glimpses of porpoises, seals, otters, loons, and eagles--all of this meant that whenever we were home we had so much wild nature to enjoy. We were also amazed at how easy it was to get over to the quieter Schoodic section of Acadia for hiking, running, and tide pooling. Really, this place is ideal for having time to yourself AND getting out to enjoy nearby recreational areas with minimal driving and crowds. Martha makes every part of the stay easy and enjoyable.

Fantastic week!

What a gem! Shortly after arriving, my wife and I agreed that renting this house is one of the best things we’ve ever done. The setting is incredible! The attention to detail at the property is the best we’ve experienced with any rental. The proximity to the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park is very convenient. And Me & Ben’s Dairy Creme is not to be missed for ice cream and custard! We’ll be recommending this place to our friends & family and hope to be back ourselves!

Great lil Cottage Right on the Ocean

8 years later we returned to this little slice of heaven. Very very quiet, what the lobster boats come, collect their lobsters in the morning and listen to the sound of the ocean while you sleep. No Wi-Fi or really any TV but that’s the best kind of vacation. Played board games, watched seals and collected rocks. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us.

Fantastic Family Fun

We loved our stay at this charming cabin. It was exactly as described and the oceanfront was so much fun to explore. The owners were fantiastic and answered all of our questions. The kitchen is very well stocked and the knives are actually usable. The beds are all very comfortable. It’s a bit of a drive to Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor but Schoodic point is fun as well. Verizon phones work great here for when you are planing your next adventure. We will definitely remember this place when we return.

Relaxing

Great location with proximity to ocean. Even though there was no ocean access, my boys fished almost every day. Despite not catching anything, they still had fun. Loved listening to the ocean as we drifted off to sleep. Very secluded and peaceful. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us. Great way to end the summer as our older 2 boys head back/start college. Lots of family time and memories made.

Perhaps by no access Lisa meant we don’t provide kayaks or other boats, or that there’s not a sand beach in front of the cottage? One can swim from our beach if you don’t mind frigid water and a classical Maine rock beach!

BEYOND AMAZING!

Our vacation was fantastic. The house is fully loaded with whatever you may need, during your stay. It is clean and comfortable, and the views are indescribable. The Lunch on the Wharf, restaurant in Corea has the best Lobster rolls around and their entire staff was lovely. It was an all around AMAZING vacation and we will go back next year! Martha promptly gets back to you, if you have any questions. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place, Martha. It was our best vacation, EVER! 😊
