This was an excellent location for our family of five with three teenagers. The waves at Magic Sands got pretty wild, but we heard that was mostly to do with the impending storm. It was a great location. Super close to a great snorkeling location and wave jumping was a blast. Super cute restaurant close for incredible eats and even better views. Condo was well stocked and they were super accommodating when the storm hit and we needed to extend our stay and have someone help us out after the extended power outage.

Condo is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Beds are especially comfortable. Ocean was visible from the lanai. A nice public beach was a short walk across the street. Pool and BBQ area is very nice and a great place to congregate. Would highly recommend this unit.

I am torn on this review. The unit was fine-well appointed kitchen, but an extra set or 2 of sheets would have been nice, and the hot water runs out incredibly fast. I take quick showers and it would be cold before I was done. The description said there would be items for going to the beach. There were ample coolers, 2 brand new beach chairs, a new beach umbrella, a life jacket, some pool noodles, and some fun plastic sand toys for younger kids. There were no snorkles, masks, or boogie boards, which is what I've found in other units when they have descriptions stating they have beach items. No big deal about the snorkel stuff- that's easy to rent or buy cheaply and take home, but we ended up buying 2 boogie boards, which we definitely couldn't take home. The beach across the street is great for boogie boarding, so it would have been nice to have them supplied-I guess they are there now-you're welcome! The driveway and parking spots were refinished while we stayed, which meant we could not park on the property for 5 days and we couldn't even walk on the area. There was no communication about this from the renter and I reached out via text and email asking for safe, secure parking options, or even a cart or something to get stuff from the car to the unit since it sits so far back from the road. I never received a response. The condo office said tenants were notified 6 months ago and advised to not rent units for this reason; they were clearly frustrated.

Great place for a family getaway

Kitchen is well stocked, beds comfy, all the towels you need. the sunset view from the balcony is relaxing. walk to the beach and to Magics was so easy with kids! Drive to town was easy.

Wonderful experience

We loved everything about the property. It was very well located, across from a beach and near a main snorkeling area. We watched beautiful sunsets from the balcony and there was a lovely ocean view as well. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Kailua-Kona vacation

He had a great experience at this property - was exactly as shown in the online phots and was very well stocked in the kitchen and had everything you needed to go to the beach. Only thing i would suggest is to have the main be updated as we found it a tad uncomfortable. would stay here again!

Awesome location!

Great place to stay to explore the island. Condo wasn’t fancy but met our needs well. Nice beach toys/chairs/umbrella set up and location directly across from white sands beach is awesome. Only complaint would be mattresses are notably uncomfortable. Would be awesome if management company would update those.

Great location, amazingly quiet

Couldn’t hear the traffic a bit, awesome ocean view from the lanai. Beaches within walking distance were beautiful, but pretty rough for inexperienced swimmers. Pool was lovely for relaxing adults, but not intended for noisy/excitable kids playing, fyi. The condo was impressively clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Great place, very clean and comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Had some drain issues in main bath but husband was able to fix. I wish it was a little closer to the beach and had a little better ocean view, but overall felt like a good value. Could use a few more beach towels.

Good, but a few hiccups

Good location, good communication with property manager. Two out of three boogie boards were broken unfortunately. Biggest hiccup was there wasn't a working smoke detector in the unit. This is a danger! So, I bought one, submitted a photo of it and the receipt, and left it in the unit. No reimbursement - that was disappointing. given that such rentals should ABSOLUTELY have at least one. I dropped overall stars because of this.

However, both the owner and Coldwell Bank managed my transition professionally and were very helpful with any questions I had. The location was great. We were near the beach and restaurants. I would book this property again. My kids' biggest complaint were the stairs but that may be because they are lazy sometimes. Enjoy your vacation!!

Overall we had a great time.
