Downtown house in Brevard - Lumberyard Arts District
Downtown Brevard house, located next to the Lumberyard Arts District. A short walk to everything in downtown Brevard. Completely remodeled 1900's home, with lots of space, and a large porch to hang out on. Newly renovated, but still has lots of charm and character. Primary suite on the main level, with its own entrance and porch. Fully stocked kitchen, dining area with custom wood slab table, bench, and bar for extra seating and dining. Large living room, and extra space upstairs for kids. Great location in town, close to the Music Center, and not far from hiking, biking, and all of the great outdoor activities our area has to offer! The Lumberyard Arts area has shopping, Restaurants, Music Venue and Brewery, a Bike shop, and more!
It was a great stay and walking distance to downtown Brevard! It is backed up to a music venue, but the home had earbuds- and the music venue is child-friendly & has great food and drinks! We loved our stay (:
A group of 10 of us were in town for a friends wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is in a great location and the host was very quick to respond to any inquiries. We definitely plan to book again for our next group trip to the mountains.
House, furniture and decorating make it a very comfortable place to stay. Spent most of our time outside and everyone enjoyed the large front porch. Plenty of places to eat right around the corner on King Street, whether you are looking for a sit down atmosphere or carry out pizza. Looking forward to renting this one again!!
The house was perfect for our 2 families. It is well-stocked to meet all of your needs and the check in and check out process are simple. As an added bonus, the location is ideal for walking into town for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The place was awesome. If you are a runner or a biker then this place is for you. The greenway is right across from the house. There is live music behind the house. We spent the nights playing game in the porch and listening to some music. Very close to down town and some great food. If we go back to Brevard we will definitely book this house again.
I've stayed at the house in the past for drop off/pick-up from summer camp. We rented the house this year with friends. Had a chance to walk around Brevard - the house is located in easy walking distance to dining and bars - that are all great. The house is very clean/easy to check in.
So nice to be right in town! We loved having breakfast at Morning Social and heading to 185 Kings St in the evening for drinks and music, right out the back door. So many beds and sleeping areas. We live in the country so sleeping with the bright street lights was hard, bring a sleeping masks if you are sensitive to light. Paved walking trail in front for walking, running, biking, skateboarding. Close to shopping. Great place highly, recommend!
Home was perfect. Porch was the favorite hang out place.
Only concern was all the traffic/cars parked in the lot for the bar behind the house. One driveway Was blocked all day and was tight to fit our 2-3 vehicles.
Highly recommend Morning Social for breakfast, just around the corner.
Five stars. Only criticism was that the master bedroom on the back of the house would be a little loud at night from the music hall next door. That said, if you werenât trying to sleep, it was fun having a music hall next door. Our baby monitors extended far enough that we felt comfortable going to have a drink and catch a show while the kids were asleep.
We had a family of 9 and the house was perfect for our needs. The house floor plan was ideal while the home is very comfortable and well stocked with amenities. The kitchen is perfect!
The added niceties were much appreciated like local coffee and toiletries throughout each bath.
Bedding is very comfortable and home is warm and cozy.
The location is perfect with great walking access to restaurants and breweries and shopping including downtown.
We had great communication with the property owner/manager. We will return!
Our family met in Brevard over Memorial Day weekend for hiking and the white squirrel festival. This house was the perfect size for us. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was nice size, and it was easy walking to downtown. It is located in the backyard of a music venue which was quite loud Friday and Saturday nights. Thankfully we all took sound machines. And the primary bathroom only has a thin window covering. A little disconcerting when it looks out at the music venue. I would suggest adding blinds or a shade to the window.
We just spent Thanksgiving here and had a really nice stay. The house is walking distance to downtown which was great. Check in was easy. There is a ton of sleeping - beds everywhere! The house is really cute and the kitchen was stocked nicely for our needs.
The downside is the noise from the neighboring live music space. I knew what I was in for based on the reviews I read but it really was hard for me to sleep- from the master bedroom it felt like someone was playing music right in the room. The band was supposed to stop at 11 PM but they didnât. The gravel parking lot was loud- anytime a car pulled away I could hear it and feel it. Maybe if I was younger this wouldnât have hit me as hard! Just had to post in case thereâs older people in your group - Iâd suggest they sleep upstairs- the kids who slept upstairs said they slept great!
Overall a lovely stay, despite that small inconvenience!
We had a great time visiting Brevard. The house was home base for three days of mountain biking. Short drive to the Hub bike shop, walkable to downtown restaurants and backs up to cool live music spot. Very easy stay, just what we needed.
Great house for extended family visiting for wedding
We loved staying in this house, especially because it backed up to the location where we had a wedding party one night at 185 King. The house had everything we needed and was cute and comfortable. We all enjoyed it!
Absolutely lovely and perfect place for our party to stay. The out of town groomsmen loved everything about their stay. Super ease of access to downtown and the wonderful 185 King Street music venue. We will definitely be renting this place again in the future!! Thank you so much!!
We reserved this house to come to a charity event for Halloween that our cousin throws every year to support the boys and girls club. Some of us were arriving early and they accommodated our early check-in with a "no sweat" attitude and a very clean and well appointed house.
The house is older and has been tastefully updated. We admired the antiques and the location was perfect for our event.
We will definitely be back!
While our group of 8 cyclists took advantage of the Brewery next door in the late afternoon/evening, the live music kept us up with the thumping base until 11 PM. Also, very bright lights from the lumberyard next door shine into the rooms. The house itself was updated and clean and perfect for us, and had we been 40 years younger, we would have closed down the Brewery and the noise wouldnât have been an issue.
The house and amenities were great. It was very clean! We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and it was very close to downtown. The only negatives about the rental are the lack of sitting area in the living room and as others have pointed out, the noise from the band at the brewery. (Which starts at noon on Sunday.) Overall, a good weekend.
Cute house, well stocked, downtown industrial location.
We were a small group of friends coming to get our kids from sleepaway camp. We've been visiting Brevard for over 20 years, have stayed in many places, and this house was among the best. You can't beat the location as far as proximity and walkability to all the downtown shops and restaurants. The house is well stocked with toiletries, good coffee, and all the major things you might need. The beds were comfortable, furniture and decorations were also nice and kept up. Plenty of sleeping space. Lots of towels and misc blankets around. There is a bar next door that has great music that can be enjoyed on the porch. The hosts were easy to communicate and had we had a problem during our stay I feel confident they would be available to help us
The only drawback is- it is right in the industrial area of downtown. This means lights on at night that flood the bedrooms so if you have trouble sleeping w light that may be a concern for you. It also means that it is loud early in the morning with folks starting work next door- truck doors slamming and dumpsters being emptied. It also means that there will be people parked in your driveway (in the areas that say no parking, until all hours of the morning coming to and from the bar next door, having conversations, slamming car doors, stepping out to have cigarettes, setting up and taking down band equipment all in your backyard.
Overall, I would stay in this property again and the only reason it doesn't get a full 5 star rating is because of the things listed.
This home is very clean, wonderfully renovated, with efficient floor plan. The living space is limited, but the bedrooms and bathrooms are great. This was perfect for our family of teens. Bar in the backyard had great food but definitely be prepared for music until 11pm. Vescovo around corner was fabulous spot for dinner and Morning Social was perfect walk for coffee and breakfast. I was surprised by the front porch view which is a propane plant. Itâs a bit of an eye sore. However, location to downtown Brevard makes up for that if you want to be able to walk everywhere.
House has a great Front porch that wraps around the side. There's also a neat little porch off the master bedroom and dining room. Beautiful re-finished hardwood floors.
