This was such a great home for our family for the weekend. We enjoyed sitting by the lake and the kids loved using the kayaks and getting in some fishing! The host was wonderful to work with and generously accommodating! Even our dog loved the house!

Lakeview was amazing. Beautiful sunrises and Moons at night over the water.Location was perfect for Strawberry and Zukey lake and located right next to the entrance to the river to go to the other lakes. Watching the seaplane take off was an extra thrill. l I have found the 4 sets of chain of lakes in Michigan offer so much. Highly recommend you travel to see them and this place would be perfect to rent to see them. Zukey lake tavern is a must stop and see. Established in 1920 and then closed due to prohibition opened again in 1930 and has remained an on the water stop by boat or land. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful in advice to navigate the area and lakes and also helped with the boat and trailer to get on the property before and after launch. Nice little community. Excellent yard for family fun and activities. Enjoyed our stay and a special thank you to Michelle for her recommendations as well and quick responses..

The property is in a great location on the lake that is part of the Portage lake system. We’ve spent many hours kayaking and exploring the nine lakes and many canals that connect them. Very peaceful and beautiful views of nature are all around! The kayaks are kindly provided by the host along with other sport equipment such as volleyball, badminton and croquet. The three bedrooms in the house allowed our family of four enough privacy. And a patio outside was great for barbecue and morning coffee. I cooked most of the meals for our two weeks stay and found the kitchen reasonably stocked. The hostess, Michelle, is very friendly and attentive to every request. She also provided us with information about local events and parks that we enjoyed visiting. We had a wonderful vacation on Strawberry lake in beautiful Michigan!

I rented this property for my relatives visiting from North Carolina. They don’t have many lakes down there. I live locally and went over to spend time with them every day they were there. We made good use of the kayaks and had a wonderful trip through the chain of lakes. Everything was nice and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. My nephew was able to do some fishing and my niece totally enjoyed her time sitting out on the dock in the evening. I will definitely rent this property again as it is only 10 minutes from my house and I frequently have relatives visiting. I very much recommend this Little piece of heaven!

We absolutely loved our recent stay at this place! It was cozy, clean, and very well-priced. The host was warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. The outdoor area was lovely – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. One of the highlights for us was the beautiful lake and having access to kayaks, which was such a great bonus. Everything was just right, and we’d definitely love to come back again!

Family Time

The property was absolutely wonderful for me and my family. We brought our 5 month old up to visit with family for the first time, while on leave from the military. Michelle answered all questions in a VERY timely manner, and the house had everything we needed, I will absolutely be booking again.

Wonderful lake with kayaks. Comfortable and well stocked house. Host was very kind to offer a late check out. We would stay on Strawberry Lake again, especially during week days. The lake was quite busy with "cruisers" on the weekend which made kayaking less enjoyable.

Wonderful place, super location, and great hostess!

We booked a last minute trip to get away and do some fishing. The house has everything you need and so much more! Convenient access to the water and multiple lakes. Michelle's communications were timely and very helpful. She's a friendly and delightful person. We had a great time, caught lots of fish, and will go back again!

Father son trip

House was nice and clean, furniture was great with the exception on the bunk beds were very noisy and not very comfortable for adults. Well equipped kitchen with everything you should need. Right on the lake with a nice dock for the boat, plenty of bluegill fishing right off the dock and good bass fishing throughout the lake.

We had stayed on the property for two weeks. It's a comfortable three-bedroom house which was enough for the four of us. The house had everything needed. Plus kayaks which we used almost daily. And a small pier which we used for fishing and occasional swimming. The hostess - Michelle took a good care of us. She even offered a ride along the lake chain on her motor boat which we really enjoyed. And put fresh flowers for us. The property and the whole area is very quiet and picturesque. It's close to several state parks. So, it's an ideal place for nature loving families looking for a quiet vacation.

We were there to see people in Ann Arbor. We didn't really stay at the property except to sleep.

Easy access, would be nice in the summer. The kitchen was well equipped. Michelle answered out question very quickly.

Not what it appeared

Very very busy channel location with lots of boat traffic…could barely see actual lake from back deck. Adequate interior but very dated and outdoor grill was filthy. I was extremely disappointed in this listing and decided not to stay.
