This spacious townhome has all the amenities and is located north of the Kona International Airport, on the sunny Kohala Coast. This townhome is nestled in the prestigious Mauna Lani Resort, and as our guest, you will have access to the gated Beach Club!
This two-story townhome has all the perks for you to enjoy their Hawaiian vacation. Upon entering the property, it's a spacious open floor plan with a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The home has central air conditioning and private lanais, with expansive views of a community garden and landscaped common areas. The living room has ample seating as well as a smart TV and high-speed internet. The kitchen is open to the dining room and is fully equipped to put any chef at home when you want to cook instead of going to a restaurant. Enjoy a cup of Kona Coffee and listen to the birds on your private lanai that is located off the dining room.
Let your guests relax in the downstairs room with Smart TV and 2 extra-long Twin beds that can be converted to a King bed upon request for a fee. Enjoy the natural light or shut the shades and soak up the central AC. There is also a full bathroom downstairs next to the guest bedroom. This home has everything you need for a relaxing day at the beach, including a cooler, beach towels, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrellas, and more. Feel at home with a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience also located downstairs.
The upstairs of this townhouse has a spacious primary ensuite with a private lanai for total relaxation. Enjoy the king-size bed and smart TV while relaxing in the central AC, or open your lanai doors to get the Hawaii breeze. Soak away the salt in the jetted bathtub or standalone shower located in the primary bathroom.
Just a short walk from the downstairs lanai across the grass of the Fairways is the tropical resort pool with a wading area for small children. A beautiful waterfall drops into the hot tub/spa. Outdoor showers, covered BBQ/picnic areas, and a fitness center complete the Fairways recreation area.
At the Beach Club, you can rent water-related sports equipment such as kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes. Take a walk along the Kalahuipua'a Historical Park with fishponds and lava tubes. Within the Mauna Lani Resort are 3 miles of secluded shoreline and the Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail along the Holoholokai Beach and Puako Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve. Tee up the two 18-hole Championship Golf Courses. And don't forget the nearby Shops at Mauna Lani with restaurants, events, and the convenient Foodland grocery store.
*Please note: There are 3 steps leading up to the front door. This two-story home has an open lanai downstairs and is not child-proof. It does include a full bathroom and bedroom on the first floor and includes central AC.
**The pool gazebo project has been granted all its final approvals and we can confirm that construction will start the first week of May. The timeframe for the work will be 6 weeks, weather permitting.
For the most part, the work will not disrupt life at the Fairways but folks should understand that there will be some construction noise when they break up the existing concrete base of each gazebo. There will be the usual noises of saws and hammers.
There will be a few times when the pool will be closed. This will be limited as much as possible to the days when equipment is brought into the pool area for demolition and then pouring of the concrete. Even then, the pool will be open all weekends and afternoons after 4.
The gazebo area that is being worked on will be roped off to ensure people using the pool will stay away at a safe distance.
Please make note of the interruption to pool usage and ensure your company and on-island manager is aware that there will be pool use disruption during the month of May.**

Excellent stay. Place was perfect. Loved the outdoor lanai and the indoor space. Pool was good size and never crowded. I had a conference at the Fairmont Orchid, and it was a short walk to the conference. Would stay here again.

Nice stay
There was a negative as the 2nd bathroom had a shower and sink that only ran hot, essentially making the bathroom only partially useable. For a family of 4, this was an inconvenience. Beyond that, the location and amenities were great. We used the cruiser bikes and the snorkeling gear. The pass to the beach club was a nice perk as well. Overall a nice stay.

During your stay with us we were happy to send out a plumber to fix the sink issue and noticed that the shower was a user error. The handle in the shower if turned all the way would make the shower hot but if you slightly turn it, then it would be cold. We hope you had a safe trip home. Mahalo

Beautiful condo, nice complex. Clean and very well stocked kitchen and house. Great stay. Too far to walk to coast with young children, but short drive. Nice that bikes are available for use. Unfortunately pool light was broken and they closed the pool before dark. Also they do not allow children in the pool until after noon, which feels unfair for the kids, so not ideal for families with children who like to swim and want to go to the pool in the am. Otherwise great stay. Thanks so much.

Great place, good location, well stocked.
Everything was as advertised. 3 best things about this property.
1) The beach pass. Easy access to the beach was great.
2). The pool is big. We had 3 teenagers that play and swim.
3) the unit is stocked. In the garage there are bikes, beach umbrellas and chairs, coolers, pool toys. Made it easy to have fun.
Overall great. If I had to complain I would say parking can be an issue. The garage is full of bikes and toys. The parking next to the unit filled up a couple of times. Also the pink parking tag drop box was confusing. Last the master bath toilet is very loud when flushed.

We went with another couple and we all enjoyed ourselves. It was very relaxing. We kept having problems with the tv remotes and finally figured it out. The kitchen pantry didn’t have too many items but we managed. Lots of pots and pans and other cooking utensils. We asked to have the bedroom with twin beds made into a king but their was a charge for that. We’ve been coming to Big island for over 30 years and never have we had to pay a charge for either separation of beds, or making them into one! The nice thing about this condo is there is actually seating for 6, which the condo actually advertises.The condo was clean and nicely decorated. Patio chair pads needs some updating.

Above and beyond
This home exceeded our expectations! We stayed with our sons (ages 14 and 17). The first thing that struck us was how clean and kept up the home was! Second was all the extra amenities - washer and dryer, ice machine, cooler, many beach chairs/boogie boards, detergent pods, shampoo, beach towels, extra blankets and 4 beach cruisers. There was even a spare inner tube and tools to fix a tire on one of the bikes and an air pump. The whole upper floor is the master suite which was massive! The other room was small with 2 twin beds but adequate. The open floor plan on the main level was great for family time. We used the grill one night and it worked well. We didn’t spend much time at the pool as we had so many other things to do but it looked very nice and had a key to enter that area. Location of the home was perfect to make it everywhere on the island as we did daily excursions (volcano, hikes, beaches, etc). Our only issue was the parking situation as we sometimes had to walk a couple blocks as there were not open spots in front of our home. The maintenance guy was very responsive when we had an issue with the dishwasher and got it fixed right away. There is a grocery store minutes away to get the necessities. Would definitely return!

We had a lovely stay in this clean, quiet, and well appointed townhome. The kitchen was stocked with basics (oil, sugar, flour) and they had all the cooking tools we needed. The pool was a very short walk from the unit, is spacious and was never all that busy. The beach and shallow calm lagoon that you get access to is small and gorgeous, but it is a 2+ mile drive from the unit. (There's no beach within walking distance or visible from the unit, in case that's important to you.) The grocery store is within a mile and so are several restaurants. It was a great location for exploring the Kohala coast in general.A few minor things that were not a big deal... as soon as we arrived, I noticed and reported that the upstairs toilet screeched when flushing, and it didn't get resolved and I didn't hear anything more from the property mgmt about it. Also, the lanai was a nice shady spot, but there were mosquitoes so we couldn't really enjoy it.

Ua ola loko i ke aloha!This is one of our favorite Island! Our stay was magnificent! It truly felt like home! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with different coffee makers! First thing to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee in your favorite coffee maker! I could not get the gate to open (operator error! LOL) I call the company and the gal was very professional and handled the situation very quickly by giving me another code which worked perfectly! This community was very quite, respectful and clean! I will return again!

My wife and I spent 3 weeks, Jan 11 through Jan 31, in unit 1701 of Mauna Lani Fairways condominiums. We wish to inform you of some issues that you might want to consider addressing. They are:1. Upstairs master bathroom shower drain does not drain well. Water begins to pool when taking a shower. Additionally, the handle on the shower door is loose and will not stay on.2. The rugs, especially the ones at the patio door and the upstairs master bathroom are really dirty. The rug in the living area also needs to be cleaned.3. The grill does not work properly. Three of the four burning units do not light. Also, the automatic lighter on the grill does not work requiring a fire starter stick, which was not provided. When brought to the attention of guest relations, they said they couldn't get us one. We could not find one either on our own. Seems like something that should be provided if the starter isn't going to be fixed.4. We reported a problem with the cold water faucet in the downstairs bathroom. We kept reporting the issue because we had guests arriving and needed it to function properly. After continuing to hear that no help was available, the suggestion that we could always move out as a solution was made by guest relations. That really didn't sit well with me. Eventually a handyman was sent, after it seemed only due our badgering, and he fixed it in 5 minutes. Took five days to get handled. We thought you would want to hear of these issues. Like the mainland, we too are experiencing labor shortages and sometime that prevents a repair in time we would like. We always provide barbecue lighters to our units, so there may have just been a misunderstanding. We do appreciate your patience and are glad you enjoyed your stay.

Kohala Oasis
The property was immaculately clean and comfortable. The unit was very close to the pool and air conditioning was awesome. The location is very close to the nicest beaches on the Big Island( Hāpuna,Anaehoomalu,Spencer ). We’d love to come back to this unit, we’re planning a 3 week trip next summer hopefully Covid is under control.

The condo itself is spacious, clean, and lovely. It is well-appointed and well-cared for.However...We had quite an unpleasant experience with our recent stay. After spending three nights in the Volcano area, we were looking forward to transitioning to the Kona area. Preparing for a 4 pm check in, we hit beaches along the way and loaded up the car with groceries.On our way, we were informed by CBIP staff that we would not be allowed to check in until 8:30 pm! We had a difficult time getting to the root cause of this confusion, as well. We clearly had paperwork stating that we had rented the unit for the night. Initially, we were informed that the unit was double booked, but after much questioning on our part, the story emerged that the unit owners were in the unit and were not leaving until later that evening.Not only did we have a car full of groceries and perishables, but this also meant that we were unable to use the pool or Mauna Lani beach, as we did not have the access key and card to enter these facilities.This absolutely derailed our plans for the day. Furthermore, we do not feel as if CBIP staff were upfront and honest about the situation from the beginning. The story changed several times, and we felt as if we were getting the run around.We did eventually receive a refund for the first night's stay, but this was only processed after we basically had to demand compensation. This situation could have been handled much more professionally by CBIP staff, as it was through no fault of our own. Unfortunately, we did not feel as if they were honest, responsive, and upfront. We had to send texts and emails each day of our vacation to ensure that this matter would ultimately be rectified.The unit itself is lovely, but if the owners do not want to leave, you may be out on your ear.

Great stay in Fairways Condo

Our family had a perfect stay jn Fairways condo #1701. The unit was extremely well appointed. Kitchen was very well equipped. BBQ on lanai was excellent. Beach gear - chairs, snorkeling equipment, etc - all in very good shape. The Fairways is a short drive to the beach and fitness center and a short walk to shopping. It has a nice pool and hot tub as well.
