*New for 2024 - Stainless Steel Appliances (Microwave, Refrigerator, and Stove)*

2 bedroom, 1 bath home that features an open concept kitchen and family room. There is a detached screened-in gazebo, which is perfect for relaxing. Also featured is a fire-pit. Sleeps 8 on beds - 2 full and 4 twins. It is perfect for family vacations, hunting or fishing trips, motorcycle adventures, or just a quiet weekend away.

The home is located 1 mile from downtown Harpers Ferry, less than 1.5 miles from the Mississippi River, 7 miles from Yellow River State Forest, 10 miles from Effigy Mounds National Monument, 14 miles to the Casino Queen in Marquette, and so much more.

Our family uses this cabin throughout the year, so rather than sit empty, our hope is that others can enjoy all that the NE Iowa area has to offer.

Great cabin to stay in, our family enjoyed the openness of the kitchen and living area as well as the bunk beds in the bedrooms. Area was quite with great scenery. We will definitely try to stay again if we are in the area and the cabin is available.

The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I and our 3 kids. The one bedroom was geared more towards kids, so they loved sleeping on the bunk beds with the pull out mattress. The kitchen was spacious for us to cook meals while we were there. It was nice and clean upon arrival. We had a great stay!

Great Location very quiet!!

Loved the location, well stocked kitchen, very nice beds! Had a fire outside and watched the meteor shower even though the moon was bright! The bunk beds are cute!!

We had a wonderful stay the the Cabin in the Bluff. The property was clean and as pictured. The check in and check out process was easy. The host, Ryan, responded quickly to our few minor inquiries during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!The property is on a main road, but it is still a quiet location surrounded by the beautiful bluffs. It is ideally located for very short trips to Prairie du Chien, Effigy Mounds, Pikes Peak, St Feriole Island, boating on the Mississippi, and Maiden Voyage tours. It was even less than an hour to get to the Upper Wisconsin River for a day of canoeing on a smaller river without boats and barges.

All in all a great place

Nice place and location for what we were doing "fishing river". Only thing that was an issue was the thermostat being remotely controlled. We arrived & it was set at 74. Me & my friend are heat sensitive so we set it to 72 which was perfect. Arrived back to it at 73 after a days fishing & couldn't change it. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Quiet Getaway

We were happy with this clean beautifully maintained home . This place has everything you need !! There's a restaurant and bar very close ,like a minute drive that was very nice.We were in town just for the weekend but wish we could have stayed longer ,the leaves are changing and its really pretty this time of year . We would stay again at this place in a heartbeat! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

Weekend getaway

This property was exactly what we needed. It was close to a nice park and splash pad for the kids. We were a little nervous with the river so high so we chose to stay close to the house. The house was cozy with plenty of room for everyone. Bunk beds were a hit with the little ones. We took a little drive to Spook Cave and it did not disappoint. We were all able to see something new.😃

Nice property that is supplied properly. We didn’t have time to use the gazebo and fire pit But it’s a nice little area with supplied firewood.

Great place!

This was a wonderful place to stay for a getaway. It was quiet and located in a beautiful area. The first morning we were there I was outside having a cup of coffee and a doe and her fawn walked into the front yard from the woods across the street. Overall it was fantastic and I'd definitely stay here again.

Very clean, everything you need. Very convenient to town and the river and 10 minutes you are in yellow river forest! Great location.! We loved it and will definitely look to book this property again.

A comfortable place to stay

We spent several days hiking at the various parks in the area and stayed here with our two young sons. They loved the bunk beds and gazebo. It was clean and comfortable and a nice place to stay.

Cabin in the Bluff

What a wonderful and cozy stay. Harpers is a beautiful little community and the home provided a place for us to rest and relax between boating, hiking, and fishing. The home is clean and had everything you'd expect in the comfort of your own home. The owners were wonderful and went above and beyond.

This property is owned by a family who grew up boating and spending time in the outdoors. While our plan is to utilize this cabin for rest and relaxation, our lives are very hectic. Rather than let the cabin go unused, we would rather guests have the opportunity to spend time in the Harpers Ferry area, soaking up all of the scenic views, great food, and everything Northeast Iowa has to offer!
