Fabulous 2nd floor condo with direct ocean views! The balcony just off the living room is a perfect place to catch sunrises and sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. The resort sits on the sand and is in the heart of Destin! Situated near great shopping, restaurants, and Destin's harbor you can access all that makes Destin a favorite beach get-away! Don't miss all that this condo has to offer!
Please be aware that the building is currently undergoing some construction. Occupants will experience some noise during business hours and see construction activity in the vicinity. All amenities are open with the exception of the splash pad and indoor pool. The opposite side of the building will be updating units' windows and sliding doors and making exterior concrete repairs/painting the building. The side of the building that our unit is on has been updated already. In light of these temporary inconveniences, we have adjusted our rates to offer you the best value during this period. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Relaxing

Check in was quick, condo was clean and the location was fantastic. My wife loved the ocean breeze coming in the sliding glass door in the evening. The beach was not as crowded as other condos we have stayed at. David, the umbrella guy, was very helpful and pleasant. Will return in the future.

Perfect getaway

We stayed three nights which was the perfect amount. Check in and out was easy. Loved being so close to the beach, plus the kids loved the splash pad, inside and outside pool. The resort has a gift shop and also a restaurant attached. Just a great getaway.

The property was under renovation for 1 1/2 years and noisy and dirty! There was constant grinding and pounding noise after 8 am. Many guys parked in the limited parking area! The room needed renovation and had paint peeling and light switches that didn’t work! Had a nice view and pool. The window's looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years! The place was not as advertised and would never stay there again.

Absolutely gorgeous!

My husband and I came down for our second time in Destin. We absolutely love the resort. It was so nice to wake up and see the beach every morning. It was so convenient to everything. The amenities were great. We enjoyed having a store, restaurant and movie rental on site. We would definitely stay at Sun Destin again!

Great place with direct beach access

Great place for a family of four. Nice and cozy with a nice view. Amenities were awesome. Only cons will be the beds need to be updated as you can literally feel the springs on your back. Other than that, nice location and nice place.

Very family friendly

We enjoyed our stay and as long as the rates stay good and fair we will stay again in the future. Very family friendly resort. Kids loves the splash bad and beach and pool. My only advice would be if any future renovations to the resort are done make the pool bigger. This condo and resort are a little older but are in great condition and the whole process was a blast! Perfect long weekend get away

The view was amazing! The the accommodations were clean and well kept. The facility had amazing features like the restaurant, gym, and shop. Staff were amazingly kind and helpful. If I have to find things to critique-it’s be tiny things like there was a salt and pepper shaker with no salt or pepper. Also couldn’t locate oven mitts or filters for coffee. These little basics would be a nice touch in the kitchen.

Balcony has a AC Condenser on it.

We got there and the AC was not working. They were very quick to fix the issue. it was a nice place to stay but I did NOT like the AC condenser on the balcony. Its was very annoying when it would kick on and make so much noise. the view was beautiful!

The place was clean, simple, and exactly as described. The host responded quickly and communicated well about any construction or minor inconveniences. The beach access is immediate and the area is well-kept. There are chairs available to rent and the staff on site is friendly. One thing I really appreciated was the smart TVs, which surprisingly can be hard to find in places like this.There were a couple of things to note. It would be helpful to have a washer and dryer in the unit. While it wasn’t listed as an amenity, the number of towels provided is limited and we traveled with an infant, so washing laundry meant using the shared outdoor machines. Extra bedding would also be nice, as there was only one blanket in addition to the thin comforter, which made it a bit chilly at night. There also wasn’t a scrub brush or sponge for the dishes, so we had to purchase one during our stay.The balcony is right above the beach entrance door, so people often walk directly beneath it and sometimes look in or wave. It’s convenient if you have kids since you can directly see the splash pad (though it wasn’t working during our stay), but for a couples trip it felt a little exposed. The view is beautiful but mostly toward the right side. The listing photos make it appear more centered on the ocean, when in reality the indoor pool roof takes up part of the view. Overall, we had a great stay. the location and the responsiveness of the host still made it a positive experience.

Uncomfortable bed, smelly and unclean

When we arrived, there was hair all over the bathroom floor and living room. There were gnats in the kitchen area. A few of the dishes were unclean. The master bed is extremely uncomfortable and makes a horrible noise whenever you shift. There is a horrible musty smell when the air is running. The balcony was a cluster-toys scattered and 6 chairs laying around. There is a small ocean view on one side and the other is covered by the pool house. The only thing worthy is the short walk to the beach, the location and the amenities. Quite pricey for being unclean, smelly and uncomfortable.

Evan, I am incredibly surprised by this review. I texted you the day after you arrived and when I asked how everything was, you replied, "Everything is great". After seeing this review, I even double checked our texts because I was surprised and you seemed happy when texting with me. You never once told me of any issues which we would have been happy to address. The view of the ocean is as shown in the listing. The photos of the view were taken from the unit. We have an on-site maintenance staff that will be glad to fix any thing. The king memory foam mattress is brand new so if there is a sound maybe the bed frame needed tightening. We would have had the cleaners return to fix anything you were unhappy with. It is really unfair to tell us all is great while you are here and then give us such an awful review without allowing us an opportunity to address them. I wish you all the best, Julie Youmans

The pictures on Vrbo are very deceiving. From the moment we checked in the ladies in front desk were not very professional. i was told my paperwork had not been turned in.( don't know what that meant) then we didn't get our keys till everyone else did, putting us in a long line to use elevator. The place smells musty, and outdated. The splash pad was not working. clearly has not worked in a long time... all the animal figurines were rusted and discolored. On Saturday we could not open our room with either one of the cards. Went to from desk and was told the cards were deactivated??? not a pleasant experience. Would not rent again.

Xochitl, I am sorry that you were not pleased. The photos are of the condo so I am not sure without more information what you found to be wrong. The front desk cannot allow check in until 4:00 unless the cleaners finish early. They strive to get guests in early but sometimes it is not until check in time. Re: your key cards, if you put them next to your cell phone, that will deactivate them but I am glad that we have 24 hour front desk service so that there is always someone to help you. While maintenance works hard to keep everything in top shape the salt air and constant use does require occasional maintenance and repairs. All the best, Julie Youmans

Small

Owner/ manager was very kind. Although a 1 bedroom, this condo Was adequate in size for who we took, but there was absolutley nowhere to put clothes and nowhere to even open up a suit case or even store it. The hardest part of being there as long as we were was trying to figure out where and how to get to clothes. On top of that, plan on paying to have to rent umbrellas and chairs all week! You are not allowed to set up your own umbrella and chairs on the beach. No umbrellas period! Must be a canopy tent of some kind. And can only sit in back row. 4 rows back from water so you can't even see the ocean! The unbrella rental company gets all the beach for themselves. Also, can't rent movies from movie rental machines in lobby. You have to have rented condo directly from the front desk. Not thru here to get that priveledge. Some building siding fell off the buildung from the 6th floor and smashed a car in the parking lot. So a lot of the parking was roped off all week. Traffic also really bad in this area so very hard to exit lot almost any time of day or night.

Pleasant and adequate

To start, the owner was FANTASTIC. Whenever I had a question I had an answer within an hour. The high rise condo that this unit resides in is a little on the older side BUT still nice. The front desk was very friendly and the owner of the little convenience store located inside really took the time to get to know myself and family and help with anything we needed. The walk to the beach was hassle free and very short, add to that the ability to rent a large umbrella and chairs made the beach experience PAINLESS this time. The heated indoor pool was small but my kids didn't care, they still loved it. The unit itself was a bit on the small and cramped side but you don't go to the beach to sit inside, it had more then enough room. The bunk beds were fine for my kids to sleep on and they had no complaints. The master bedroom had a king size bed, which was nice, but way too big for the room. I think the owner may want to think about going to two single beds just to give the parents enough room to walk but I doubt anyone would agree with me on that. The ONLY complaint I have is about the Living Room TV, it was impossible to cast or to view anything on it but once again you go to the beach to be on the beach so we didn't care. One last thing, the refrigerator door needs to be leveled as it closes on you while you try to put away groceries. It was a great value and I recommend this unit to anyone going to Destin. It was on the second floor with a beautiful view of the ocean.

Sundestin 210 condo was very dated. Musty odor. Beds need replacing. - squeaked with every move, mattresses very uncomfortable and could feel springs badly in the bunks. Would not rent again.
