Amazing View

The condo was very clean and well furnished. It had a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach set up included two chairs and an umbrella, which was provided daily for no extra charge. The building was in a quiet neighborhood, off the main road. You will need to drive if you plan on going out to eat or do local activities, besides visiting the beach.

Beautiful location

Overall the place was wonderful! Only complaint was the bathroom had some mold in the grout that made the bathroom look dirty. However, the condo otherwise was very clean and comfortable! The view of the beach was great! All the staff were also very kind!

Nice view of the beach !

This condo just needs a few upgrades. The kitchen has been updated but the bathroom desperately needs to be done. The air unit is very loud when it turns on. New paint wouldn’t hurt but our stay consistent mainly on the beach and that was beautiful!

Reviewer Comments: condo #609 was very very clean and organized views of the pool and beach were spectacular fully stocked kitchen plenty of room for 2 adultsand even a child.. one of the elevators was down but once repaired it worked like a charm the 6 days we stayed.. paid washer and dryer on 4th floor but work very well..highly recommended and will go back.. smoking and grilling (charcoal) area out in front of the building..

I thought this condo was a good fit for my partner and I. I loved how close it was to the beach. We were able to rent a umbrella and two beach chairs all included. It was close to all the stores and restaurants. It was reasonable priced as well.

Property was great location and great views. Only disappointment were kitchen amenities. Basic cookie sheet and Tupperware would be nice for people that want to cook at condo.

Nice visit but poor communication

We just finished staying at this location for the first time after usually staying near Sandestin area. The room was for the most part pretty solid, great views of the ocean! If you are looking for a sunset view, unfortunately this condo doesn't provide that view. Upgraded kitchen and living room area, however, the bedroom and bathroom definitely need an upgrade. The bathroom doesn't even have a toilet paper holder.My biggest concern was lack of communication from management. We checked in on Saturday and didn't know that evening they would be coming by to swap out the modem/cable for the room. It wasn't until one of our family members was startled on Saturday evening by four men wanting to come in and do their work, they told her we were notified and received an email that day. She asked if they could come back on Sunday since she didn't feel comfortable by herself. The next morning on Sunday I received a text that were first on the list to get the work done (lucky us on our first morning to get interrupted), I asked if they could come later and they said ok. When we came back, the work was done but they didn't lock the door behind them.After mentioning this to the management, they said we were notified on that day and a few days earlier, we weren't. I can respect the work that has to be done but it would have been nice to know when they were coming.We'll come back and enjoy the beautiful views, just not sure if it will be here.

My only complaint is the toilet needs replacing, old and too low, had to hold down handle to flush properly. Overall the unit 609 is comfortable for 2 adults.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at HSRC a total of 3 times now and condo 609 was disappointing to say the least in comparison to the cost. The bathtub was completely clogged and smelled horrible when we arrived,, we had no washcloths, the unit was outdated and not the cleanest and overall it had a funky foul odor.

We booked the room 612 we've been looking at 6:12 for a month excited only to get there and find out we're in 609 because 612 is a private owner they don't rent there condo. So right away I'm concerned. Unit 609 needs updated. Everything else about the vacation was fine thank you.

Destin vacation February 2023

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Holiday Surf and Raquet Club. This was the second year staying in 609. We love the location and the staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Our unit had some improvements done to it since last year. The kitchen was all redone making it appear more open and spacious. Love the shiplap siding on the wall that used to have mirrors. While remodeling the kitchen the owners took out the closet that was at the end of the hall and then took half of the walk in closet in the bedroom to store their stuff. When we began to unpack we realized how this remodeling really took away from our storage from last year. We made it work but our bedroom was very cluttered and we had to live out of suitcases due to lack of dresser and closet space. A way to rectify this would be to put a larger dresser in the bedroom. The existing dresser is a TV console and has very little drawer space. We did use the TV armoire in the dining room to store our food so that worked out OK. bathroom needs to be remodeled. Tub is stained on the floor and caulk by the faucet was moldy. Some units put a small linen closet in the wall jutting into the furnace room. Makes space for toiletries. Would be a nice added feature. Maintenance workers were prompt and helpful. Our water was hooked up wrong and we had no hot water in the bathroom. They fixed it rapidly. Overall loved our experience. Love the view and location of our unit.

Our first Destin trip

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The weather pretty much cooperated for us. We did have yellow and red flags but managed to see a shark and some dolphins racing around. The unit we rented needed some work however. The kitchen table was pretty much unusable; couldn’t be pushed together leaving an inch gap through the middle and several edges making it easy to spill. The maint young man came in and couldn’t do anything with it. The drawer below the oven when pulled out basically just falls apart. Again mtc guy couldn’t do anything with it. Silverware drawer falling apart...In a nutshell we made the best of it but will look elsewhere next time. Unit 609 gets a thumbs down!
