Welcome to our family's luxury mountain cabin with AMAZING views called Raptor's Nest. This cabin is packed with amenities and is part of our little operation called "Freedom Escapes". We self manage so you are guaranteed a much better experience than a big management company will ever provide!


Upon arrival you will immediately feel relaxation begin to set in as you find yourself in the heart of Wears Valley looking at a modern and charming cabin situated at the end of a flat Cul-De-Sac with a Skylift and horseback riding literally minutes away! We are centrally located between Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Townsend which means you can easily visit places like Dollywood, Ober, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, The Island, and so many more attractions in all three locations!!

The elevation provides this cabin with a perfect mix of easy driving access in dry conditions and sweeping 180 degree plus views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Continue your walk onto the deck and around back and you will find an incredibly inviting painting like atmosphere of a hot tub looking out over the beautiful mountains. We have found this to be THE perfect place to relax on comfortable cushioned patio furniture with a cup of coffee while staring out at the mountain morning as it comes to life. Don't forget to return at the end of the day to jump in the new hot tub for DIRECT VIEWS of the Smoky Mountain sunset!

Inside sits a modern open floorplan living area with a large smart TV and electric fireplace that allows numerous color modes to set just the right mood for your evening relaxation. Attached to this you will find cooking to be a delight in a modern kitchen fully stocked with quality cookware, plenty of utensils, and the dishes you need to make your inner chef shine. Don't want to be in the kitchen on a beautiful day? Take your skills outside and fire up the charcoal grill while playing a few rounds of corn hole!

Tired of having to decide who will get the king bed on vacation? Lucky for you this cabin has a master suite on each level with a King Bed, smart television, and fireplace! Unwind at the end of the day in a large bath tub with an incredible view that looks out over the mountains or hop into a beautifully finished river stone shower. Sleep like a baby on comfortable pillow top mattresses with the dim glow of the bedroom fireplace.

Downstairs you will find the perfect space for playing a game of pool, having a family movie night, or reconnecting and laughing while playing one of the many classic board and card games stocked in the table drawers. High speed Wireless internet up to 50mbps exists throughout the house and is your gateway to staying connected if you so choose. Bring your own logins for Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, etc and you can easily find all your favorite shows on any one of the four smart TVs or surf through the many free internet channels and local internet provided stations. We do not have traditional cable or satellite TV service here, but who is missing that with such great views and the many things to see and explore!

Do you have kids or need extra sleeping spots? Tucked in the corner of the entertainment room downstairs you will find one of the coolest bunk beds we have ever seen. Put a little one up top on the twin housed in their own little Smoky Mountain Jr cabin and another two people down below on a comfortable full-size bed. We also have a pack and play and highchair available.

Since you may have come here to explore, make sure to check out the many local attractions that are just a short drive from the cabin such as Cade's Cove, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and of course the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We take cleaning seriously and strive for perfection with our cleaning company. In addition to modern standard turn cleaning practices, we have all our high touch surfaces sanitized and disinfected. You deserve clean and we know how important this is.

Check-in: 4:00PM EST/ Checkout: 10:00AM EST. We unfortunately cannot offer early Check-in as this time is needed to thoroughly clean and prepare the property for your arrival. Late Checkouts are not available and a fee of $50/ half hour will be charged for a late checkout. No check-in or check-out on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

Please note: Our cabin is a NO SMOKING/VAPING cabin. If there is any evidence of any type of smoking/vaping inside the cabin which can include but is not limited to ashes, odors, ash trays, butts, etc., there will be a minimum $500 fee added to the credit card on file or the cost to repair any damages and or remove smells associated with the smoking, whichever amount is greater.

We do highly advise that you purchase traveler's or trip insurance to protect your purchase in the event of poor weather, illness, or other factors outside our control that would cause you to have to cancel after booking. Many credit cards offer this protection for you as well.

This is a quiet area and this really isn't a cabin well suited for parties, therefore we do not allow them. Minimum age of 25 to reserve the cabin. We will have to ask you to leave without refund if you exceed the occupancy limit, have a party, or aren't accompanied by the adult age 25 or older that booked the property.

The cabin is in a mountainous region; therefore, some roads may be considered steep. We have no issues with a two-wheel drive vehicle under normal dry conditions, but a four-wheel drive vehicle and tire chains are needed under adverse winter conditions. Please plan appropriately for winter stays. We do not issue refunds for weather or driving issues as this is well beyond our control.

There is a floodlight camera on the exterior of the cabin to monitor the entryway. It lights the walkway for our guests, captures video of any wildlife that wanders near the cabin, and helps with weather monitoring and occupancy compliance.

We love our furry friends, but out of consideration of those with allergies, we DO NOT allow pets.

We are in a very quiet area, however we cannot guarantee complete isolation from all noises.

Thermostats are on a locked range of 65-75 degrees. Electric fireplaces will also produce additional heat.

Stays of 10 days or more will require a housekeeping visit weekly with an added fee for the service.

A STARTER pack of basic supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and hand soap is provided for your convenience. This is only a starter pack and you may very likely need to purchase or bring more depending on the length of your stay and number of guests. We also provide all linens and towels.

This cabin is near the heart of the Smoky Mountain National Park and you may be lucky enough to see some of it's wildlife. Please keep a safe distance and never feed wild animals.

We have our cabin on a monthly pest control program that is performed by a certified and professional pest control company. As is the case with all cabins in the area and likely your own home, 100% pest free is impossible to attain and occasionally bugs, to include seasonal lady bugs, may slip through these defenses.

We are very honored to have you share our amazing cabin experience and want everything to be as perfect as possible. This is why we self-manage and take great pride in making sure we do our absolute best to pour our hearts into delivering the getaway cabin you are looking for.
