Luxury Homestead Cowboy Cabin on 80 acres!

Rustic luxury, just 10 minutes from downtown Whitefish and 6 minutes to the Whitefish Lake Golf course and restaurant. One of a kind home on 80 acres with beautiful views, wildlife, privacy and plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy. Easy access with plenty of parking. Great hiking trails nearby. No need to fight the crowds to enjoy the Montana backcountry.

Surrounded by some of the best boating, hiking, biking trails and river rafting in Montana, yet only minutes away from fantastic restaurants, golf courses and shopping. Glacier National Park, Whitefish Lake, Flathead lake, Big Mountain Ski Area and Flathead National forest are just a short drive away.

This homestead cabin has plenty of big windows to bring in the sunshine and take advantage of the amazing views. Big central fireplace, brand new custom kitchen, large master bedroom with private bath, covered decks, washer, dryer and air conditioning.

The two guest bedrooms each have a bunk bed with a queen bed on the bottom and a XL twin on the top bunk. The house will sleep 8 comfortably. All beds are top quality new for 2021.

The property is also patrolled day and night by our two livestock guardian dogs, Jupiter and Django. They keep the predators away from the livestock and are two of the biggest most lovable dogs you will ever meet. If you are NOT dog people I would not recommend renting our place as they will come visit. If you are dog people, you will love these guys!

This is Montana living at its best and your chance to live a Montana lifestyle.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the Cowboy Cabin for 6 days. The home has everything you'd want - comfortable beds, high end finishes, rustic charm, and amazing views and privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the daily wanderings of deer. Walt was a quick responding and super friendly host. We all agreed we'd stay here again if we come back to Whitefish.

Family Summer Vacation

We had a fantastic experience staying here. It is close to downtown Whitefish and an excellent place to come back to after long days in the national park. We enjoyed the property (beautiful landscape) and relaxing on the porch in the evenings. Hard to do better than this place; fortunate to have been able to stay here.

The property and surrounding area is spectacular and the cabin is both rustic and luxurious, with everything you could possibly need or want for a comfortable and relaxing escape. This is our second stay here and we can’t wait to return. Walt and Diane are incredibly attentive hosts and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Beautiful Design Cabin in Paradise

Couldn’t have been better. The cowboy cabin was luxury indeed. It was absolutely beautiful and equipped with everything our family of 5 needed, along with so many lovely design touches. The hosts just couldn't have been nicer and met us upon arrival to give us a personal tour. I would definitely stay here again.

Home on the range

When you pull up to the entrance gate and say “Wow” you know you picked the right place! Amazing property with perfect cabin and views. New but full of detail and rustic charm with lovely landscaping. Loved the interesting cowboy and Indian artifacts and it even had a slot machine which was a huge hit! The relaxing ranch and mountain vistas were lovely and hard to leave. Great owner as well.

I highly recommend Walt and Diane’s Luxury Cowboy Cabin to anyone looking to stay in a very classy, comfortable, fun, and magical vacation home. The owners went above and beyond with amenities to ensure their guests have a relaxing visit. We stay in many vacation rentals each year and this one is by far the best we have ever seen. It was an exceptional experience for us. If you are looking to create lasting memories with your family or want a relaxing retreat with life changing views, this is the one.

Great stay

Cowboy cabin is a beautiful property. The cabin is very well appointed and has many modern touches, yet feels rustic and secluded. The hosts are very gracious. We had travel difficulties secondary to airline delays beyond our control. We were able to make it up on the back end secondary to the kindness of the hosts. I’d like to start by saying I am an owner and property manager of a vacation rental as well as manage for others which makes me very particular about the places I stay, to a fault. When I say this place is meticulously kept, I mean it! The property, the home, the decor, it’s all stunning. The owners were very kind. Walt even took time from his day to show our very curious 12 year old around. We loved it. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We will be back. Highly recommend you book this now.

Well Beyond Our Expectations

The pictures of this property (while beautiful) for some reason do not even come close to describing it’s beauty, location, wide open spaces and the perfection that comes with every detail of this rental property. While it was priced a bit outside our initial budget, our entire family would agree it was worth every penny and truth be told, once word gets out about this property we will probably never see it again at the price we paid — it’s that good! The owner is a custom home builder so you can imagine this property showcases his expertise and experience. Book it while it’s still available; you will not regret it.

What an amazing stay at the Cowboy Cabin!

The owners of this property take great pride in their home. We had everything we needed and more for an amazing week stay. We were gone most of the day exploring Glacier, but always looked forward to coming back to this cozy cabin!! The decor is so cool!!! The owner, Walt greeted us on our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. The side door to spacious laundry room was awesome to dump our hiking gear after a long day of hiking. Just be mindful of their two beautiful large dogs that visit the porch and grabbed one of my boots and took it for a spin. Walt had it delivered back to me the same day:) We would stay at this property again and again. So close to downtown Whitefish, which was a plus. Worth every penny !!!!

Cowboy Cabin delivers

I'll start with the hosts. Two of the nicest people you'll meet. Walt is a man of many talents and passions, could be a solid candidate for most interesting man in Montana, ha. Cabin was great! Really feels like your back in time on the range. Their two dogs are as sweet as their owners and visited us daily. Don't typically repeat spots as we like to try new things, but we will be back! Thanks for the hospitality y'all!
