Perfect one bedroom in Central District close to Swedish Cherry Hill and SU
You will be staying in the bottom part of the house, one bedroom and one bathroom. Unit has windows in the living area and also bedroom. It has been set up in a way that will be perfect for working at home. Kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge, stove, microwave, coffee machine, pots and pans etc.
Convient location while visiting our son. Host was easy to communicate with. This apartment is in the basement with rear entrance which is a bit dark when coming home at night. No frills, but was adequate for our needs.
A closet door fell off when it was opened, Microwave was not clean, no paper towels, no kitchen towels, no coffee filters, no washcloths in bathroom, floors had not been swept or carpets vacuumed, no lights at night to light up walkway along side of house, 1 partial roll of toilet paper and no extra, no extra blankets, no instructions on turning on heat but the manager did respond to that message and we were given the â secretâ way to turn it on. The only positive about this place was the location was good for our needs
Damp apartment, not well equipped but great location to SU
Pros: The apartment is within walking distance of Seattle University which is terrific and communication with the property manager was great. Bed was comfortable. The place was clean.
Cons: There were not linens provided for the pull-out sofa, despite us communicating that we had three in our party. Towels- provided sparingly. One towel per person plus only one towel for the kitchen. Detergent for laundry nearly out- we used it up. No heat in the place and it was chilly and damp. Found a plug-in heater in the utility room. Closet door broken and left propped up against the wall. Pull out sofa was uncomfortable, as was much of the furniture. Felt very much like a college apartment.
The place was fine for what we needed. But the only bedding provided for the third person (couch) was a dirty blanket. And only 2 towels for 3 people. Easily fixable stuff. But we chose not to bother the host.
Jamesâ place was perfect for me as a patient attending early morning appts at both Swedish Cherry Hill and up at Swedish 1st Hill too. I appreciated that he messaged me at only at the important times (confirmation, check-in/check out) and the place was very clean & comfy. He mindfully had the air on upon my arrival making it nice & cool and there was plenty free parking available on the street in this nice neighborhood.
Clean, neat, nicely decorated property; living room smelled of cigarette smoke when we first arrived, but it aired out quickly. Convenient to Seattle U if you don't mind walking 12-15 minutes, or grab a Lime scooter or bike and you're there in 5 minutes. Pretty comfortable bed. Great alternative to a hotel.
This property is a basement property under long term tenents. The "host" claims to live upstairs and appears personable via automated messages but actually it is a property management group who does not know who you are or where youre staying. The property itself is dirty, the ground isnt level, the "fully stocked kitchen" has barely any kitchen equipment. The bed is uncomfortable and the tenants above are loud and could hear every step and hear them talking. The parking is 2 hour and the closest parking garage is attached to a hospital. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
This place has worked out nicely the last 2 stays. I travel to Seattle for work, so I mostly just need a place to sleep. The basement is set up really nicely for the most part, and a lot of effort was put into the decor to the extend that I'd expect from a budget-friendly VRBO.
The weird, partially walled-off doorways that would lead to other parts of the house (like the blocked off stairwell) are offputting at first, but I got used to it once I settled in.
The only real complaint I have is that there is a lot of activity between 7 and 8 in the morning. Sounds like kids running across the house, and you hear every creaking, thudding footstep. As someone who tends to work long, late days, that wasn't ideal and did get really irritating.
Besides that, the hosts are very helpful and communicative and the other amenities are functional, which is all I require.
My friends and I had a great time at this place! The listing is for a private floor in a shared house, with its own entrance and amenities (kitchen with kitchenware, full bathroom, etc.). The property felt safe, was clean and spacious, and the hosts were helpful and communicative.
Cozy and comfortable basement apartment. Centrally located, close Swedish Medical and Seattle U. We were dropping our daughter off at SU. We'd stay here again!
Issues for check in were frustrating but not hosts fault. Property was very large and convenient. Hosts were very helpful in retrieving a left item. Thanks!
There was an issue with one of the heat pumps and they were very responsive to the issue. I would rent from them again anytime. It was also very convenient for visiting Swedish Hospital.
