Located in a quiet rural area with 150 feet of riverfront property. Gorgeous views of the St. Johns River, Lake George, and Drayton Island from the dock. The boathouse is equipped with 2 uncovered boat slips, a fish cleaning station with well water, electric, refrigerator, picnic table, and a large bench. The St. Johns River is well known for its Bass fishing and certain times of the year you can catch shrimp and trap crabs. The river offers incredible sunsets and abundant wildlife. Enjoy the panoramic views from the living room, sun room, kitchen, and master bedroom. We are close to many boat launch areas (Drayton Island Ferry, Georgetown Marina, Idle Awhile Resort, Renegades On The River), some amazing springs (Juniper Springs, Salt Springs, Silver Glen Springs), State Parks, and Ocala National Forest.

Peacefull Vacation

We have stayed here twice now. My family loves yhis home and the location! Perfect for quick boat rides to the springs and loads of wild life visitors! The neighbors are amazing also! Even had a neighbor drop off some fish food for us while we were on the boat one day! Saw manatees gators ospreys and a friendly cat my daughter loves!!!! The hosts adam and shirley are great and so much help! Highly recommend this vacation and will rebook!!!!

Excellent Trip

Stayed here several years ago and new owners have completely improved the home making our trip extremely enjoyable. Updates to dock made the area another gathering spot along the water perfect to watch the river and sunsets. Will definitely return to this place

Great place on the river!

Beautiful views and well kept clean house, it’s really a great place to stay. The host are very hospitable and there if you need them but also not overbearing. Great relaxing stay away from it all.

Beautiful River Home!

Charming upgraded home right on St. John’s River right at the opening to Lake George. Great for fishing, visiting the springs and beautiful sunsets. This was our third time in this home and the bathroom renovations are beautiful. The sunroom/dining room is all windows and a fabulous view. We will be back again.

Getaway Weekend

This property has it all! Location is quiet with beautiful views and a short boat ride to the springs. Some great restaurants nearby on the river and tons of room on the property to grill. We can’t wait to visit again! Adam and Shirley communicated great and made sure our stay was enjoyable!

Beautiful Home, Perfect Location

We stayed here for a 5 day week vacation with our children. We loved the home, the location, the amenities, and the hosts communication! There was so much already at the home we just had to come with the boat! The dock was great, the amenities on the dock were fantastic! The house is well kept, very clean, quite updated, and very cozy! Perfect for a shelter from summer storms, or a cool down after a long day on the water! Only a short boat ride to Silver Glen Springs and Salt Run Springs. We look forward to future bookings with you all! I've had so many people ask me where we stayed (by seeing my photos) hopefully a few more bookings come from that as well :) Thank you again!

Amazing Vacation

We stayed 8 nights and brought our boat. The house was clean. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day, there is plenty of dishes/pots/utensils. Walmart/Publix 40 minutes away so we brought everything we needed for the 8 nights, we bought extra rolls of paper towels/plates/toilet paper, extra trash bags, foil, ziplock baggies. We always pack all those extras items, if you stay 4+ days anywhere pack what you would use at home, you shouldn’t expect the host to have a stockpile for you. We were in the boat every day for 6-8 hours each day. The boat ramp about a half mile from the house. There is lots of boats traffic all day long so your boat will be rocking constantly, make sure you tie it up good, we have a bay boat with low sides and the dock was slightly higher which meant our boat would slide under the dock when waves came, if you have a low side boat, you will need to keep it off the dock by keeping it tied off on each side so it sits in the middle of the slip and can rock freely without beating on the dock. We brought our crab traps and kept them about 50 feet out from the dock and checked them daily, we also caught crabs off the dock with just raw chicken and fishing line, we got 36 crabs during our stay. Gas for the boat is a 1 minute ride south. 2 minutes north is a waterfront restaurant “Idle Awhile” I recommend going there. We boated to Salt Springs and Silver Glen Springs a few times, both are easy to get to. Don’t miss the sunset off the dock, it’s amazing.

Second time staying here

We stayed here last April and had to come back! Great place, has everything you need too. The neighborhood is very quiet and off the main roads. It was a very hot week but we spent most of our time out on the deck along the river and stayed cool. Plus its beautiful out there! Thanks for sharing your place Shirley and Adam! Hope to come back again soon.

The sunsets and location on the river are why we rent this home

The house is updated and fully stocked with whatever you need. The dock is what we love. The sunsets are amazing. This is why we rent this home. The dock has a covered area that makes it perfect in any weather. The hosts are also amazing. They communicate, they answer questions, they are honest in their answers. This is our second time using VRBO on this property. The upgrades the new owners have made are wonderful!

The house was very nice and well maintained. Would recommend this house and would also recommend the owners make the boat lift available as your boat will take a beating at the dock from passing by boaters. Overall a nice place to stay and good helpful neighbors

Life is better at the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was large enough for our 2 families to share. The dock was perfect for our boat and the refrigerator on the end is very convenient. We were close enough to the springs and several restaurants to travel by boat. Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great time away on the lake!

Summer Vacation

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The hosts are amazing and communicate with you as necessary. The home is extremely clean, updated, and overall amazing. SIMPLY, the BEST....

We cannot express what a blessing it felt like to be guests at this home & awesome property. This home is incredibly decorated and very well furnished. Please take the time to respect the artwork thru ought. You could say we all had such a great time just enjoying fishing off of the dock that has been expanded and well taken care of~ that we didn't even need to take the boat out... we were all in agreement that this home & property IS what the American dream is all about. I am confident that each family that has the privlege to stay here will feel the same.

Excellent property

We have stayed here in the past and the new owners have done some wonderful upgrades to the bathrooms. The house was clean, the linens and towels were new. Overall, a great experience. We love the fact that we can dock our boat right on the property! Thanks for allowing us to stay this year and hopefully in the years to come.
