Great Place for Togetherness

A great place to say with family or friends. It was a clean open space near town full of local things to enjoy, and of course, the lake was literally right out the back door for some fun in the sun.

Great Stay

We spent a week at this property. The house is very clean and well-equipped. The double- decker dock and deep water cove made for an enjoyable week of sun and boating.

Beautiful View of Lake Hartwell!

Nice home on Lake Hartwell with a beautiful view of the lake. Roomy, open great room with spiral staircase going upstairs. Perfect getaway for 4-6 people. Big double-decker dock that you can relax on or jump into the clear water!

Yearly Family Lake Day

We stayed for the 2nd time this year. More family came and the house was perfect for the crowd. The open plan inside with a big living & kitchen and then a covered porch and a screened in porch. The walk to the dock is exactly how the picture looks. Safe slope for us older people and young children. We plan to return next year.

Beautiful Getaway!

We booked this house as a friends’ weekend getaway, with 3 couples. Plenty of room in the living room for all of us to sit and enjoy time together, spacious bedrooms, enjoyed sitting outside with plenty of seating on back deck also! House was very clean upon arrival, had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, water pressure was great, enough parking room (we had three vehicles plus two boat trailers so it was understandably tight but we made it work), owner responded quickly to any questions I had, and plenty of room on the dock for two boats. It was everything we needed for a relaxing Lakeside weekend!

Wonderful house on Lake Hartwell

I cannot recommend this house highly enough! It is beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the lake and a fantastic 2 level dock. My husband and I stayed for the weekend and had a marvelous time. We brought our kayak and had a ton of fun exploring the coves around this property. The beautiful stone fireplace was a welcome luxury at the end of the day. It was clear that the owners were welcoming hosts when we were greeted with thoughtful details. Do not hesitate to rent this beautiful home!

Better than Expected

This house is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen, dining and living are all open with a glass wall opening to the covered porch. The covered porch was shown as a deck with no cover on the photos and was such a great surprise for the 90 degree weather. The walkway to the dock is short with a gentle slope. Dock is on deep water. We will be back next year!

Peaceful, private setting with beautiful view

This Lake Hartwell home is a gem! The home itself was very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. The main living area and kitchen were large and open to the huge windows that provided a direct view of the lake. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked, and the ping pong table in the loft provided fun in the evenings. This property is quite special in that the trees are cleared in front to give you a wonderful view of the dock and lake, while trees still exist on both sides of the property to give the home a very private feeling. The cove was peaceful and perfect for swimming, floating, paddleboarding, or just sitting and soaking in the view. This area of the lake was also good for boating, skiing, and wakeboarding. The double decker dock was fun and a perfect place for watching the stars at night. Jean was very kind and responded quickly to any questions we had. We highly recommend Jean's Lake Hartwell home and would definitely stay here again!

Fun for Families!

This house was amazing, just as described. We spent a week here with my parents and boys ages 9-16. They had an amazing time swimming in the lake and jumping off the dock! The water was clean and deep, and the walk to the lake was very short with a nice gentle slope. The ping pong table was an added bonus and a huge hit with the kids. There was everything you would need and enough space for everyone to relax and enjoy the week. The owners were quick to reply to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

Absolute Perfection

We planned a girls weekend trip in March of 2021 for 4th of July weekend 2021. We all arrived separately and all gasped in awe of the new when we walked into the home for the first time. Everything was as described and pictured in the listing. We had so much fun just chilling on the dock and floating in the water all weekend! You’ll love it, so definitely book ASAP!

Beautiful, perfect location

This house was amazing. It was the perfect spot on the lake. Very close to Hartwell Marina, which is where we store our boat, so extra points for that LOL. We love to be in the part of the lake that is close to the Big Water, gum branch area and this again was so close. The house was perfect, from the view of the lake from the inside, to sitting on the deck at night and looking at the stars over the lake. Although you have neighbors there is a nice border of trees separating you from the neighbors and when you are sitting on the deck it feels like you are the only people for miles, so private. The beds were SO comfortable. The house was by far the cleanest house we have ever rented and we usually rent 2 per year, for the last 7 years. I can give you an example of how clean it was. My SIL was going upstairs to bed and carried her cup of water up and some other things. She did not realize her glass was tilted and she a spilled water on EVERY step. She came back down got paper towels and wiped down every step and all she could say was "look how freaking clean these stairs are, there is not ANY dirt on these paper towels. All of my girl friends bragged on what a great house I found. The only issue we had is upon arrival the upstair AC was not working, but Jean the host was AMAZING and had it repaired within a hour and a half of me texting her the issue. So as far as I was concerned it was really a non issue, I just wanted everyone to know how Awesome Jean was.

Restful break

The house is in a beautiful quiet location - we enjoyed time on the floating dock with the provided chairs and the back patio with it’s tables and chairs. The house is very spacious and the view of the lake from most areas of the main area is delightful. Only downsides were issues with the upstairs A/C which thankfully we only experienced when playing table tennis and a somewhat disorganized and incomplete collection of kitchen tools.

It’s terrible when the air goes out in the summertime! Luckily it has been replaced now. The kitchen organization and ample utensils are topics that will be addressed so that our guests will be comfortable and have the items located where they can be found readily.
