This delightful cottage is located about 3 miles off interstate 85 just 21 minutes from Clemson University and 35 minutes from downtown Greenville. It is a secluded getaway for enjoying all beautiful Lake Hartwell offers. With three bedrooms and a sofa bed, the cottage is perfect for the whole family. Drink your morning coffee on the top level of the two-story dock for the most peaceful morning experience. The lake is teeming with all kinds of wildlife to enjoy. You'll want to come back soon! Camp Creek access is only about a mile away where you can launch your watercraft without a fee. The water level of the lake can fluctuate depending on various factors. Please be aware and plan accordingly.
The property was great. The double decker dock on the water was fantastic for the family. We fished, swam and used the paddle board. The kids played games inside. We sat on the screened in porch while it was raining. The cabin was clean and quaint, but had more than enough room for our family of 5. It was also in close proximity to historic Anderson and other local attractions.
We were there for a short visit, visiting a relative. Would loved to been able to stay longer. House had lots of room, it was in a great location for us visiting Anderson. Loved being on the water it was very relaxing. The home had everything you needed besides your groceries. We would definitely stay here again.
The outside of the property was getting a new roof the day we checked in. A tarp was left on the roof. The porches needed a good cleaning. We were having a family gathering after our daughter graduated Clemson and had to clean the screen porch and wipe tables, and chairs down. We actually removed a chair and put it outside during our gathering because it had mold and mildew all over it. The front porch needed some wood replaced and the swing didnât feel safe to sit in. The inside was good but had several odd ceiling openings . It would be a great place with a lot of cleaning up on porches and outside in the yard.
We enjoyed staying at the Lake house. The house is lovely and very clean. The dock was great for kayaking and swimming. The beds were very comfortable. We had a great weekend on the Lake.
This cottage was such a surprise. Set back in the trees, our first impression is of stepping off the road into the forest. The quiet tree-filled space with this (seemingly little) cottage nestled within and the lake in the background. Then we opened the door and the space inside is huge, warm, clean, and perfectly inviting! We spent our time enjoying each other's company, playing games, watching movies, and eating delicious meals. We did not get to enjoy the outside much due to the weekend constant downpour, but the screened-in porch was perfect for hanging out in the evening even in inclement weather. The double-decker deck provided beautiful views of the lake even with the soggy weather, and there was a beautiful fire pit with surrounding lights we were very sad not to have had the chance to enjoy. The only glitch we experienced was when the power went out in a portion of the home and it took some time to connect with the owner. In the meantime we made do and all was back to perfect after that.We loved our visit and already talk about coming back next time!
A wonderful property and peaceful setting. Not as close to Clemson University as I was hoping, but not an awful trip back and forth. Wish we could have enjoyed the lake more, but our visit was quick. Great house and hope we can visit again. Thanks!
We did a kid of know what to expect after reading all the reviews. It was a great weekend and the property was as described and even better. Very clean, tastefully renovated without killing its character. Very quiet, not too far from Clemson. The beds were very comfortable.
Also enjoyed the coffee bar. We will hopefully come back one day .
The house was the perfect size for our 6 adults. The beds were comfortable and both bathrooms being on the hall was also convenient. The kitchen and dining area were spacious and the coffee bar with a sink was nice. The view of the lake from the porch was great and the driveway had plenty of room for parking.
