Family Stay on Ober Mountain!

The property sits at about 2,460 feet elevation so the mountain views are worth the price alone (especially during sunrise) but it's the layout that sold us on the home when reviewing online. We never did make it up to the swimming pool but the teenage boys certainly enjoyed the hot tub several evenings and once we figured out what switches controlled what, it became a lot simpler stay. My favorite room was the reading nook that can be accessed by both the main floor bedroom and the upstairs bedroom. Huge windows aplenty in this property, but the 180-views in that particular room was the most memeorable.The only issues we had with the property was the storm door "closer-mechanism" was broken and then the interior door handle fell off but the main door was safe and secure and the keypad worked great. Also, and we left this on another review, the upstairs bathroom fan needs replaced ASAP as it was obnoxiously loud and would wake up anyone (including our 3-year-old) trying to sleep.Would definetly make a return visit to BIRDSONG!!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming chalet in Gatlinburg! While the home is older, it has the most delightful dollhouse aesthetic that made it feel cozy and unique and I would almost guarantee you won’t find another one like it. The layout was perfect for our family—spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The kids absolutely loved having the entire downstairs to themselves, which gave everyone plenty of room to relax.The location was ideal—peaceful, yet close to everything. The mountain view from the deck was breathtaking, and my husband especially enjoyed grilling out there while taking it all in. My personal favorite spot was the cozy little reading nook—pure bliss with a cup of coffee in the morning.We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. 10/10 recommend, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Great Family Location

The veiws from the back deck were beautiful!! This house was great for our family of 5 plus another family of 3. The teenagers had their own space and bathroom. The 2 main bed rooms were very comfy and spacious. Hot tub was very clean and we all enjoyed it.

Hiking getaway

The house was great. The kitchen had every appliance/tool you could think of, but some basics like salt and pepper were missing. Power went out during our stay and there was no generator or assistance from the property managers but I think that is to be expected for the area. Otherwise this is a great rental!

Wonderful mountain home!

We really enjoyed our stay in Birdsong this past weekend for my sister's 44th birthday celebration. The cabin layout was large and quirky, which we loved, especially the back hidden staircase with the reading nook that the 10 of us fought over for a morning sunrise read lol. The drive up to the cabin is a little treacherous, very hilly mountain roads, but it was beautiful weather and we managed it just fine. If you are staying in the winter/snow, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is a must. There are no bathtubs just standing showers (which we didn't mind at all being a group of adult women), but potential renters will need to know this if they are bringing small children/toddlers/infants that can't shower alone. A couple of small suggestions for the owner:1. Providing dedicated hot tub towels. Alot of our group did not think to bring beach/swim towels so they had to use bath towels for the hot tub (on them not the cabin!) It was fine and we just kept redrying them in the dryer. But this would be something I would appreciate as a returning renter.2. Providing a few extra dish towels in the kitchen. We did bring our own, but we could only find one provided in the kitchen. A few more would be appreciated.3. The ping pong table seems to come apart in the middle and does not go all the way back together, leaving a space under the netting.All in all this was a truly wonderful stay for my sister's birthday. Our entire group was happy - thank you!

Beautiful Property Great Experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property but found some details in the listing were lacking. We enjoyed the fireplace however had no details on how to access the firewood bin on the property as it was locked. The bathrooms did not have a blow dryer.The property instructions were generic and we did not know where the trash bin was located.Otherwise the property was clean, and in a beautiful location for scenic Mountain views.

Spectacular Views

Birdsong is our family’s favorite vrbo we have stayed in!! The views were amazing, especially sunrise. We liked the separation, kids down in bunk room, grandparents on ground floor, husband and I upstairs. Everyone had own space. Ping pong and hot tub were a hit! Location was great to Gatlinburg and trails. I personally enjoyed the reading nook; felt like reading in trees! Kitchen/living area was perfect size for our group. We saw a bear and raccoon come up front walk! Will definitely come back if in area again!

Modern house with a very private, and quiet location!

This property is a beautifully designed and architecturally unique house with a very private setting! The view of the mountain through the trees was spectacular! Kitchen was well laid out and stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Both decks were spacious and were enjoyable to use while relaxing. The jacuzzi was clean and warm and also private! The beds were comfortable as well. Furniture, carpets and rugs were showing there age but with a rental it is to be expected But all were cozy and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and all faucets and plumbing worked as expected. The lower king bedroom has a split king with dual controls to raise each side of the bed, but we were just two people so used the upstairs room for our stay. Would be a wonderful house with a group of 6. Parking has room for three cars and what amounts to your own hidden private drive. We loved our stay!

Beautiful place but beware of bears

My friends and I loved this house. It lived up to everything we expected. And I was told to be careful with food because of bears. However, I wish that someone had given me the simple instruction to lock my car doors!!! The bears know how to open doors and regularly test car doors to see if there's any food inside. A bear got into my car (there was no food in it) which was parked on an incline, and the door slammed shut on it. The bear proceeded to lose it's mind and shred the interior of my car. The repairs cost $1700 (and I found a great deal with a mechanic who was willing to use junk yard parts.) When I alerted the management, all they said was they were sorry to hear that and to contact my car insurance :/ But I only had liability since the car was 11 years old. One simple instruction - lock your car doors - would have prevented this. That being said, the bears are actually kind of sweet and fun to have around if you keep a safe distance. We named this one Rogi the bear, since it tore up my Nissan Rogue.

A little Paradise on Earth

My daughter wanted to go to the Mountains for her 16th birthday. We had an amazing time. The Birdsong is an amazing Chalet, breathtaking views, and fun for the family. The teenagers loved the screened in porch off of the lower bedroom. I loved everything about the Birdsong.

An awesome family vacation

The place was amazing. The kitchen had everything you could need. All the beds were super comfortable . The best part for adults was the hot tub. The best part for the kids was the pool was right next door.

Nice Getaway

The layout worked well for us. The roads that lead to this property are windy, which didn't bother me but some may not like the drive. It is really close to Ober Gatlinburg so we made sure to spend some time checking that out and doing the activities that were there. It rained the first evening we were there and there was a leak in the kitchen near the fireplace. I notified the property manager and was told they put a work order in. There were things that could have been kept up better but didn't really affect our stay. After reading other reviews we were very careful to remove any trace of food/food items from the van, I parked near the house in the light (and made sure to lock the doors). Despite our precautions, the first morning I came out to find two muddy spots on my van and a noticeable scratch with finer scratches around it from a bear. This was the biggest disappointment of our stay. Also know that there are no basics such as salt, pepper, sugar, or coffee filters provided. There was one fresh roll of paper towels, one extra kitchen trash bag, and two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom (we stayed 4 nights) so this was sufficient for us. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, and dishes it has both a standard coffee maker and a Keurig. Both check in and check out were simple and the property management company was accessible and quick to respond via text. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Birdsong.

Bears!! If you want to see one this is the place for you! We got some great pictures of the view and the wildlife. The house was quiet and comfortable as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful but......

It was a beautiful house and great layout but two rolls of toilet paper for the whole house was not nearly enough. It would have been nice to have some salt and pepper at least also. Overall a wonderful stay.

The view was what sold us on this property. Quiet neighborhood. The next door pool was closed for the season but would have been open soon. They were working on it. We really had a great time

Beautiful relaxing vacation home

Amazing house. The views were beautiful, comfy beds, couch and plenty of room for everyone. They had all the cooking utensils/ cookware you would need. Everything was amazing and exactly how listed. I will definitely stay here again on my next Tennessee trip

Hard to find

The house had a few issues but the manager did send someone out the following morning to fix everything. Our only real complaint was finding the property! There isn’t any numbers at the road so if you are coming in after dark it’s extremely hard to find. 4 wheel drive is recommended for this driveway. Would I stay here again? Yes!
