Enjoy all the high country has to offer and spectacular views from this lovely 3BR, 3BA condo on TOP of the mountain at Buzzard Cliffs located in Hound Ears Country Club. Located in Boone and just minutes from Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, historic Valle Crucis, and all the ski slopes.
Outside, relax on the expansive deck and enjoy the long range mountain vistas. Gaze at the profile of Grandfather Mt. Take a refreshing nap and then grill steaks while you entertain family and friends.
The home includes convenient parking for two vehicles, only a few steps from the ground level entrance.
Hound Ears is a gated community and offers a variety of activities including hiking trails, picnic areas, and river frontage access.

New place on our list of where to stay in the Boone area

This is a great place for families or groups of friends. It is as described on VRBO. Clean, well-stocked kitchen, all the amenities you could think of and the view from the back deck is incredible. We will certainly be staying here again.

Amazing views!!

Wonderful location with spectacular sunset views! We love the mountains so this was a great quick trip back for a college visit for our daughter. Close to Boone and App State, highly recommend Lost Providence for lunch or dinner (in Boone).

The views are stunning. House is very clean, and super stocked with everything you can possibly need. Decor was amazing with attention to detail. Beds were comfortable and linens crisp and clean. Overall an excellent stay, will definitely be back

Fantastic Vacay

We enjoyed our stay so much! The location is fantastic, and that view is beyond words. The sunsets were magical! The house itself was super comfortable, and it was a great layout for our family. The kitchen is perfectly stocked for any meal you want to prepare. We enjoyed every second and will definitely be back! Thanks for a great family weekend with the view of a lifetime!

3rd time at dream location

This place just suits our family perfectly. The views are unbeatable and it's close to lots of fun activities. This time we added zip-lining to the fun things to try. We could not ask for a nicer place and will probably be back again. As soon as we leave, my nephew starts asking when we are going back each year. Spacious, comfortable, huge porch, but the views are what keep bringing us back.

Weekend away

Property is very nice. Wonderful to wake up and take coffee out on the deck to watch the morning wake up. Plenty of space, there were only 4 of us but we could have comfortably had more. It was disappointing that the grilling rules were changed, after reading the description I did go to the butcher for steaks to grill but it all worked out fine. I would definitely look to stay here again.

Incredible views.

We absolutely loved our stay in Hound Ears. We had a little trouble finding the unit so more description would be helpful. The signage on other properties near it makes it confusing. Once there though, we couldn't have been more thrilled. It was comfortable and the views amazing - we even had a buzzard visit the rock by the deck at our Buzzard Cliffs unit. We look forward to a return visit.

We would like to he able to mark it better and have discussed the signage (we don’t control ☹️) and will update our directions to continue to try to explain in more details. We look forward to your return ! We will be doing some additional upgrades as well as remodeling now that covid restrictions are lifting a bit.

Elegance and comfort in NC Mountains

The property’s location is beyond expectations, and the accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. We were able to have a great weekend with family, which included tubing, trout fishing, gem mining, and hiking. The views were stupendous, and included views of Grandfather Mountain, Seven Devils, and Beech Mountain. The hiking trail near the property was very enjoyable, and helped with getting some energy out for children. Katy was very prompt and professional with her responses to any concerns I had. We will definitely want to share our mountain experiences here again, and would refer anyone who wants a great place to stay in the mountains of North Carolina/Boone/Banner Elk area to this property.

We loved it so much, we came back!

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home in the beautiful NC mountains and we’re already planning another trip. The home is perfect and has everything you could need. The views of the mountains are perfect and the owners are such a joy to work with.

Another Wonderful Stay!

This was our 2nd time staying, and another wonderful stay was had! We plan to return again. This has to be the most comfortable property we've ever stayed in, and the view is unbelievable. During this trip, we took in several of the sights and festivals, but were able to enjoy the comfort of the house to watch some college football. And being able to hike the Hound Ears' trails within walking distance is an added bonus! Looking forward to another stay!

Beautiful view from the top of the mountain, ways up to the top but we'll worth it for the view. We had 12 of us and it worked out well. This unit was the lower unit all on one floor which was good for the grandparents. Not many steps
