This property was great for what we needed. It fit two people perfectly and was close to everything in Hollywood. There were many restaurants, shops, grocery stores and coffee shops within a 5 min drive. The check in and check out process was super simple. Thanks for a great stay!
We loved this place, and the photos don't do it justice. A cute and nicely appointed Hollywood bungalow like a studio apartment, with quiet outside space, lots of walkable restaurants and other things to do, and everything we needed for a long L.A. visit.
Perfect little space for the two of us and our short visit to LA. Close to restaurants, and a short drive to any type of hiking or sightseeing. The running goose is a wonderful, recommended and very close restaurant and there is a Tocaya Mexican place at the end of Seward St. and Sunset Blvd within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet at night, but the property is not super dark, so if that bothers you bring your eye mask! No oven, but there is a stove microwave and full-size refrigerator with toaster and 12 cup coffee maker. Great place!
Place was very convenient for my work trip. Very clean and close to everything. Just wish there was an oven and stove top for cooking. Other than that, it was great! Would recommend and stay again when returning back to LA.
The studio has a good location in a safe place.
Good communication with the host, he responded quickly to our needs.
Internet service was so-so, sometimes it didn't work well.
The services met the requirements for the type of accommodation.
Overall it was OK for the price.
Keys provided did not easily go in our out of the door handset in fact it took at least 3 to 5 minutes to lock our unlock the door each time if you were lucky. Third time using the door the key broke off. It was very obvious to me that this problem had to be known by at least the owners service techs if not the owner himself well before we showed up and and $15 handset and 10 minute repair could have avoided all the nonsense we went thru trying to use this door. When owner/manager was notified he sent worker who he tried telling me we used the wrong key in the door passing the shoddy workmanship and non preventative maintenance on to me like I was some kind of idiot. Mind you this was after I locked and unlocked the door at least a couple of times with the same key that broke off.
The service tech then provided me a key to the programmable deadbolt which didn't have batteries and also didn't work and in fact after you turned the key to the locked position and took the key out anyone who knew what they were doing could walk up and grab the round manual turning mechanism that surrounds the key tumbler and open the door so you never could really lock the door. Since we could not lock the door we had to take our valuables with us all he time.
The shower leaked all over the place. The hand held shower head when pointed at you body also sprayed 90 degrees in both directions. It was obvious to me the whole shower enclosure needed replacement as it was old and defective and junk. They only supplied 6 bath towels, 1 dish towel and no wash cloths for a 10 day stay.
Even though the place seemed clean the kitchen floor & counter back splash and the bathroom floor, shower enclosure and sink backsplash was so old and outdated it look dingy and dirty.
The 10 days we were there there was some heavy rain and during the heavy rain the roof leaked into the middle of the room from the skylight.
The TV was the best thing in the place but since there was no option for local channels only streaming internet hulu, netflix, & prime you could not watch any of the new year college bowl games or nfl football, nhl american classic or any type of sports shown on the good old free channels fox, cbs or nbc.
I have used VRBO to go to Australia, New York, multiple times to LA and I believe this is the only negative review I have ever written. It is my opinion the Owner Landlord is trying to be as cheap as possible with disregard to the comfort of guests.
We should have been told it was a place BEHIND THE HOUSE with the address. We arrived at night & roamed around the street until Ricardoâs brother found us & let us in the gate. Also there were two street addresses given!
Couldnât ask for a better place. The location was absolutely perfect and it offered the privacy we hoped to have during our stay. The next time we are in LA this is our first choice for places to stay.
