A great stay in a great location. Property was just as advertised. The bay and beach options are really good for kids. Clear instructions from owner. Would definitely book again.
Wonderful remodeled old school beach houseâperfect size for the five of us and perfect location. Great hosts, very proud of their property and very responsive. Short walk to the beach and nice location right on the lagoon. Caught several nice trout while out on the kayak. Fridge/freezer downstairs in the closet was a nice convenience for loading cooler for the beach, as was the enclosed shower downstairs. Look forward to staying in the future!
The house is very child friendly with games and activities to keep the kids occupied. The beach across the street made it very convenient for our family. The beach itself was clean and very private. Restaurants and stores are just a short drive away.
This property was absolutely perfect for our spring break trip!!! The private lagoon in the back yard was so much fun for the kids and us!! The beach was a short walk across the street. The house was super clean and decorated very cute!!! We will definitely book again!!!
For nature lovers such as us, our trip was sprinkled with little magical moments. We really enjoyed the lagoon at dawn and dusk. Fish strikes were abundant, and we even almost landed a few! We pretty much had the beach to ourselves, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Spot is just right for two couples. We had plenty of space and options to stretch out. The amenities were spot-on. Communication with the owner was outstanding! Very friendly and lightning-fast responses.
What a great stay in Gulf Shores! This house was perfect for our family. On the lagoon, 60 second walk to the beach, very quiet and just a few minute drive to town. We literally had the beach to ourselves. The house was very clean, very well stocked and just an overall comfortable place to stay. The owners take pride in their home and it shows. Weâll be back for sure!
We really enjoyed our first trip to Gulf Shores. Everyone told us to be aware of the Spring Breakers, but we never had a crowded day on the beach. In fact, many days we had the beach to ourselves! The location was perfect. Slightly out of town, but not too far. The lagoon was beautiful and the ocean was extremely close, about a 1 minute walk. We enjoyed having chairs and beach toys available without the hassle of renting them. The house was nice with comfortable beds and couch. If we visit Gulf Shores again, we would stay here again.
We loved our stay at The Little Lady. We enjoyed the kayak and paddle boarding to use in the lagoon. It was a hit with my kids. The walk to the beach was very easy and the beach was beautiful. The house has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed sitting out back on the deck and drinking our morning coffee. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. We enjoyed our stay very much!
I took my daughter and six grands to the beach. The house was perfect. Six Littles shared the bunk room and giggled every night when the lights were out. Short walk to the beach where they searched for shells and treasures, rode waves, and laughed some more. Short drive to Pensacola to watch the Blue Angels practice and to Fort Morgan to explore. Other than that we never left the house. It has everything you need to create wonderful memories! â€ïž
This was a "bucket list" trip for my mom, to be at the beach. Location was perfect with the Lagoon in the back and the beach just across the street. The peninsula is quiet and the beach was PRIVATE! Didn't see other people on the beach until the last day.
Weatherproof picnic table on the deck overlooking the lagoon was great for morning coffee. Owner was quick to respond before and during our booking.
There were a couple of small maintenance things, but nothing major. Do plan to bring the necessities of garbage bags, foil, paper towels, etc. There's plenty of pots/pans, plates, bowls, glasses and silverware for everyone.
Check in and out was a breeze, and it was very clean. Furniture was comfortable and cozy. Bar chairs were a fave!
While looking for a last-minute beach getaway for our family of 9 we came across this little gem! With lots of seating inside and out, direct access to the lagoon, and easy access to the beach, we found this to be the perfect fit for us. One thing that could have been made a little more clear is that there is only one shower inside the house. The downstairs shower was great, but is really only partially enclosed. We had a great stay and hope to return.
We have been visiting gulf shores/orange beach for 12+ years. Little Lady was our first experience having extremely easy access to both the beach and lagoon with both areas being very private.
The property was well equipped, clean, comfortable and a 15/20 min drive to restaurants, grocery store etc.
Im already sharing the link w fam and friends who have little ones or just want a quaint place to enjoy beautiful sunsets and some quiet time
We loved the location of this home. Our kids enjoyed the the Lagoon and the Gulf was a simple quick walk . We brought our kid's kayaks with us and enjoyed the use of theirs as well. All the beach items were a great plus. The home was super clean, and by far the best amount of utensil and accessories we have ever encountered in a VRBO home. We were worried with the home being so small we would feel crowded but the 7 of us did not feel that way all. The home does have a older musty smell that our clothes picked up so I kept my work clothes for visiting clients in the car and changed before any in-person visits and it took care of the issue.
This property is nice overall. The reason for the lower number of stars is because the listing is a bit misleading. I'm going to list what's right with it, then what can be improved: What's right: - location is great; quiet, away from crowds, on the lagoon across the street from the beach- beach gear, chairs, toys are all great- shower in the house and outdoors are niceWhat is misleading: - Photos taken appear to be in .5, making it look larger than it is. It's probably 800 sq ft. - "Master bedroom" is a small bedroom. There is no attached bath to any room. - .5 bath is a toilet and a sink that was a closet they converted after the fact, next to the full bathroom. There is one full bathroom.- NO SUPPLIES AT ALL. We arrived after a late flight. There was no soap in the entire house. We couldn't wash our hands. - Plan as if you are camping and bring everything. There is no soap(!), no salt/pepper, no food supplies, no bags, no TP, nothing. You get 1 trash bag,1 roll tp and a couple of towels. They have plates, cookwear and untensils. After an email a guy dropped off a tiny travel set of 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner...for 4 people?!- No warm blankets.- No central air; 4 wall units in rooms.- Reviews are questionable.- No communication before check-in. I emailed twice. Later communication was better, not great.- It is between two houses. It seems this property is handled by a mgmt co, not the owners and they can improve for this price point. Has potential to improve.
Little Lady was just as advertisedâŠprecious little house on the lagoon, with the most beautiful sunsets! We booked this house last minute and the communication was wonderful. The house has been updated with modern decor and appliances, and was quite comfortable for our crew of seven. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with cookware, but do bring your own spices, foil, and other consumables. The outdoor shower was the best!! We enjoyed kayaking on the lagoon, sitting on the back porch for meals, lounging in the front deck to see stars, playing corn hole under the house, and of course, time at the beach. We definitely recommend The Little Lady to anyone looking for a cute, little house in a perfect location!
This property was just what we were looking for -- cute beach house, short walk to the ocean, and no crowds!! Loved the decorating, fans, and atmosphere of the house and it had everything we needed -- well, except for oven mitts (I couldn't find any so we had to use towels which worked just fine!). The walk to the beach was very easy and hardly any traffic on the road you have to cross. It was a much shorter and easier walk than some oceanfront properties we have stayed at. Just re-read some of the reviews and I did see someone else mentioned the prickly growth around the areas leading into the house. We did have to watch going through there with flip-flops on our way to and from the beach. But otherwise, a wonderful property and I would highly recommend it!
The Little Lady was the perfect location for our boys first experience with the ocean!
Our family was ready for a relaxing beach vacation and the Little Lady provided it and more! The location is the best of both worlds. The lagoon in the back with a kayak and paddle board to use and across the road the Ocean! We were in the water everyday experiencing new adventures and making memories. The beach was basically private, perfect for our family to play football and frisbee without interrupting others. Our boys loved chasing crabs with headlamps at night on the beach. The house offered everything we needed and was the perfect size. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck and lounging on the front porch listening to the ocean!
We recommend the Pier in the evening. We were able to see dolphins chasing fish and a shark. The music was great and we met locals who we could have sat with for hours. Make the drive to Fort Morgan it is worth it.
Take the vacation, walk the beach, get sand between your toes and live life.... we will be back Little Lady!
Overall, great experience! They had all of the basic necessitiesâother than scissors. The house was very clean and the view was absolutely beautiful! The walk to the beach was very short which was very nice with kids. The lagoon was a nice although it wasnât clear. We fished in it quite a bit and thoroughly enjoyed that! We had our whole family in the house one night for dinnerâ7 adults and 4 kidsâand we didnât feel cramped for space! WEAR SHOES! Something that comes along with staying at the beach is the little prickly things that hang out in the brush. Side note: we came towards the end of September and the biting flies were unbearable. We couldnât really hang out on the beach muchâeven with bug spray but maybe they arenât usually bad? Not sure if it was because the north wind was blowing very strong or the fact that we were in the lagoon. We normally stay in Orange Beach and havenât had a problem with flies in the past. Overall great experience other than flies which isnât the hosts fault.
If youâre looking for a more private getaway this would work for you. Itâs away from the hustle and bustle and the beach isnât crowded. The house fit us well with 4 adults, one teen, and 2 kids. Anymore adults it wouldnât have worked. It was a bit smaller than we expected. Beds were comfortable though. Relaxing on the front porch or the back deck was nice. Thereâs not a lot traffic down the road so you can hear the ocean but you canât really see it. Sunsets off the back deck are beautiful. The bay out back was great for the little kids to just get their feet wet and play in the sand. The kayak and paddle board worked out well for us and the bay is pretty shallow so itâs easy to practice if youâve never done it before. There was an abundance of sand toys for the kids, life jackets, beach chairs and umbrella. Overall it was clean and tidy. There were plenty towels for the bathrooms. The second shower outside wasnât terrible but there were weeds growing into it. Be careful walking barefoot, there were some thorns around the property. The washer and dryer were very clean but with the humidity, we had to leave the door open to get our clothes and towels to dry. We had a lovely, quiet stay.
Owned and managed by four young families with a total of 17 kids between them. They know what itâs like to travel to a place only to find out it wasnât quite what they had in mind. Thatâs why they created GSM Properties, to accommodate babies, toddlers, young ones, tweens, and even teenagers. Theyâre available 24/7 and want to make sure you have a vacation experience youâll never forget with your family.
Thoughtfully remodeled bungalow. Gulf beach access is right across the street, private lagoon beach is in the backyard. Accommodates 10 guestsâideal for families with kids. The lagoon beach/water is calmer, warmer, safer, and shallower. Kayak and standing paddleboard provided along with additional beach gear.
On a quiet road with beach access directly across the street. Private lagoon beach that kids love! Outdoor shower to wash off the sand after coming in from the beach. Great family getaway!
