Newly Remodeled Ocean Front home on Ocean Isle

"Afterdune Delight" is a 5 bedroom / 5 bath ocean front home with direct beach access via our private dock. Our home was completely remodeled and professionally decorated in late 2020. Everything is brand new in the home and nothing has been untouched.

The kitchen is well stocked and also includes a stand alone ice maker, wine cooler and coffee station with a keurig and regular coffee pot. The home boasts an open floor plan with plenty of space including a great area off the living area with gorgeous ocean views.

All five bedrooms have their own private baths, brand new, upscale mattresses with smart roku tv's in each room. The living room and one master suite includes cable TV along with smart Roku tvs. There are a total of four bedrooms and four baths upstairs. Two of the bedrooms are king master suites with direct ocean views. The other two bedroom suites have queen beds. The 5th bedroom is a private retreat located downstairs. This room includes a king bed, full bath, kitchenette with a microwave, toaster oven, keurig, full sized fridge / freezer, small dining area and private laundry room (there is a 2nd laundry area upstairs as well!).

The brand new rear deck is one of our favorite spots! The sunsets are unbelievable or enjoy a little sunbathing steps away from the beach. Do keep in mind we have a small hike up the dune from our boardwalk. Otherwise there is a parking lot and another beach access just blocks away.

We have high speed wifi, an open outdoor shower area, plenty of beach gear and a separate lower deck with a gas grill. We have tried to think of everything so your stay is beyond perfect! :)

Wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is decorated beautifully and it was very clean. The furniture and mattresses are all super comfortable. I appreciated that there were plenty of seating options for dining as well as in the living room. The kitchen also had everything we needed!

Beach Wedding weekend!!!

We had four family staying here for a family beach wedding down the beach. Everything was nice and as stated in the review. Very nice that each bedroom had a bathroom and plenty of beach towels and chairs. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Gorgeous renovated house

Cute house w lots of room for couples. It was so perfect for all couples to have their own room and bathroom with spacious beds. The views were so wonderful and the house was well stocked with creature comforts.

We enjoyed our stay there. We brought my parents to the beach with us so there were 6 of us total. It was nice to have 4 beds and 4 baths so everyone had their privacy and space to relax. The view was awesome!

Quick Honeymoon Stay

After Covid changed our honeymoon plans we decided to take a short trip to our favorite beach just to get away and relax after the wedding. This house was perfect for that! The house itself was beautifully decorated and extremely clean! We had a great trip!

Great Family Beach House

Amazing weekend

This house was everything we could’ve imagined, perfect in every way. The space accommodated two families and four children. The access to the beach was great. The home was fully stocked with everything we could’ve needed. Loved the location, the beds were super comfy, the couch was a favorite. Worth every penny

Feel like home ocean front

The pictures do not do this home justice. The view from the family room is incredible. We can't wait to come back to Afterdune Delight. The home is beautiful, comfortable and has EVERYTHING you need to enjoy a relaxing ocean front vacation. The owner was responsive with everything we needed. If you are looking for a beach house to rent, look no further.

Weekend getaway

Home is beautifully renovated and was great for our group having a weekend getaway. A few concerns - Dunes to get over and get to the beach are very steep. I assume due to the recent hurricane, the step down to the beach had not been evaluated. It was at least a 3 foot drop from the dunes to the actual beach. Was disappointed in this especially after the property manager told me the walkway went over the dunes to the beach.

Awesome view

The homeowners' beautiful home offers a breathtaking view, but I suggest they conduct a walk through to identify areas for improvement. Although it's peak season, the cleaning staff should devote extra time to ensure the property is thoroughly cleaned. The home is well-stocked with utensils, toys, beach chairs, and necessities. One aspect that caught me off guard and i possibly overlooned in description was the fifth bedroom's external access, which required going outside and walking downstairs. This detail was not apparent to me when I made the booking. Crossing the dunes presented some difficulties for our youngest and oldest family members. Our stay was amazing, except for the overpowering perfume smell and a few minor issues. The family unplugged all plug ins and aired out the downstairs, by turning off air and leaving door open for time periods. Travelers with allergies or mobility limitations may want to explore other options; however, I recommend booking this property for those without such concerns.

Thanksgiving Haven

We were quite comfortable in this renovated bungalow. Pros: The amenities were great- quality bathroom toiletries, good linens and towels, plus the kitchen had everything we needed plus some! Washing detergents were provided as well as started supply of paper products. The view is beautiful with visibility through the wide open plate glass windows. We enjoy this West End location on the island. Each couple had their own bathroom, even though small, that was a huge plus. Communication with the management company was superb. Cons: The house is older so of course you find uneven floors and doors that do not hang correctly etc. This was not bothersome from a rental standpoint. We would have preferred to have windows that opened in the living space.

Bad Dunes

The house inside was beautiful, and clean and roomy except for the bathrooms a little small but that was okay. What we disliked the worse was the dunes. They were awful to climb when you are carrying chairs, coolers and other things. The large windows in the front would have been wonderful to set and look at the ocean but all you could see was the dunes. One of the bedrooms had a smell of cat urine we sprayed and used plug ins but could not get rid of it.

The dunes are a part of the beach's natural state. We do show the dunes in our photos and this is pretty standard for all beaches around this area. It is a 1 min walk to the beach and this home is ocean front with its own private access which makes it convenient to not park and carry items from a beach access. We have installed windows all through the back of the home along with a deck overlooking the ocean as shown in the photos as well. We have looked into the smell and haven't found anything. This is not a pet friendly home but thank you for letting us know.

Weekend Getaway!

My family had a wonderful stay! You can't beat being beachfront. All of the furnishings inside were very comfortable, and it was wonderful for each bedroom to have it's own bathroom. We would certainly come back and I would absolutely recommend staying here! There were just a couple of quirks, but nothing too significant. Some of the elder members of my family had a hard time using the only door that leads to the exterior beachfront porch - the door can only open about a foot and a half before it hits the outside railing, therefore it doesn't fully open. The doorknob was also extremely rusted and didn't work well additionally. Other previous renters mention another similar issue we had - the eldest member of my family needed to use the beach access a block down the road (thankfully not far at all!) in order to access the beach because of the steep decline/drop off after the stairs from the house stop. However, these quirks could certainly be easily worked around so no real issues and we had a great time. Thank you again!

An Absolute Gem!!!

This beautiful property was all that we could have wanted and more. With our own private access to the beach just over the dune and ocean views from the house, it was a dream location. Impeccably appointed, the decor is beautiful, coastal chic. The kitchen had all that we needed and more, from quality knives and cutting boards, to pans and a slow cooker and all things baking. With three different areas to gather to eat, there was tons of space. The beds and the pillows are top of the line comfort with great linens. The towels were fluffy and soft. With Roku we were able to stream all of our streaming services in any room and with cable in the living room, my husband was able to watch the NCAA Tournament with the view of the water!!! HEAVEN for him! The downstairs suite was perfect for our teen son who had his own space (king size bed, kitchenette, full-size fridge, washer/dryer/ and bathroom and loved every minute of it. It was the ultimate relaxation spot. We all slept so well there. We did not want to leave. Brandy thought of every single detail, from a beautiful welcome gift and card, down to the laundry station filled with detergent pods ready for a load! She was in touch before our arrival and available throughout if we needed her. She made us feel like it was a homecoming and for that, we will always come back. Looking forward to our next stay! Great place but few things could have been better.

Everything in the house was wonderful and clean. The house was great. The location was wonderful. The things I wish were different were outside. The door to go to the deck was tight, hard to open and if you are a large person you couldn’t fit through the door due to the deck railing being so close to the door. The deck was so small and none of it was covered. It rained a lot while we were there so we couldn’t sit out and enjoy the outdoors due to no covering. The home sleeps a lot but only 4 chairs outdoors and not a place for everyone to sit because it was so tight. It was hard to see the ocean from the deck because of the dunes. Also to get to the ocean you had to cross sand dunes. We weren’t aware that the walkway didn’t go all the way to the beach and we had older adults with us that made this difficult. We wanted ocean front to sit on the deck to view the ocean and have an easy access to the water which wasn’t as we had planned. The house was great and the amenities were wonderful it was just not the outdoor experience that we were looking for.

Great Stay for Large Families!

We had a great time at Afterdune Delight! We had a great time with our large family (14) and slept comfortably in all the rooms and the downstairs suite. A couple of things we really enjoyed were: the chairs/toys that were already at the house, the gas grill, each room having a separate bathroom, CLEANLINESS, the big open living/dining room space, the porches with gate on the front and big seating in the back, the booster chair/ironing board/other extra amenities that were helpful to have with a large crowd, the huge ice maker and wine fridge, oceanfront windows were absolutely breathtaking. A couple of things we would change to make our stay more enjoyable: we would have liked to have access to the elevator to assist with luggage, the dishwasher was hard to operate/old, some of chairs available were broken or rusted and need to be thrown away and the dune was EXTREMELY high and hard to climb with our elderly and young children.

Perfect floor plan for a multi family girls getaway that included moms and daughters. Location gave access to visit other areas quickly with plenty of great food and activities located on the island. Safe for kids to go off to shop, eat and explore.
