The PineHurst Lodge is located 29 miles east of Hayward and 2 Miles west of Clam Lake on Lower Clam Lake deep in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest. The PineHurst is not directly on the lake, however, it has its own private pier and has a very nice sandy swim area. Amenities include a large open bar area, commercial style kitchen, 12 person dinner table, 50 inch tv, Wi-Fi, fire pit, and many more. Professional Property Management Available 24/7
This place was perfect for our group gathering. We played games at the large table, enjoyed time around the bar, and even assembled a few puzzles at the table in the corner. The Big Buck Hunter was a huge hit as was the pool table. We made s'mores every night at the fire pit! Plenty of parking and nice neighbors next door. The pier/access to the lake was amazing and a short walk. We brought a paddle board, kayak, pool floats, and a floating island and had so much fun on the water. There was a bald eagle at the lake, too. The littles tried their hand at fishing and had fun catching some little fish. They also got to enjoy catching tadpoles. We did experience a minor issue (no fault of theirs), they responded quickly, and came by to check it out for reassurance. Makala and Rich were super friendly and truly care about their guests and their comfort. We did not know that bath towels aren't typically provided in these lake properties, but when we talked to Makala we asked if they could help us and they provided the bath towels we needed. The property is advertised as a 3 bathroom place; however, be advised there are only two bathrooms with shower/bath capabilities. This place is conveniently located and an easy drive to Hayward or Cable (the girls said there is a great bookstore in Cable). There is a convenience store not far and a good restaurant/bar close by. Thanks for an amazing family vacation!
More room than anticipated. Commercial Kitchen was great for a bunch of foodies. Pool table fun for older kids and adults. Lake is nice for swimming but couldn't figure out how to catch fish.
The VRBO is out in the country but right on a 55 MPH hiway. Pluses were lots of room, access to dock and lake, quiet area (except for hi-way), friendly and prompt host and tons of room. Cons were no bath towels (we traveled from Washington State) no curtains on bathroom windows, bed had noisey plastic sheets, no blow dryer, no soaps or shampoos to get you through the first day (we arrived at 9:00 PM) kitchen stove smelled of gas and we left the exhaust fan on for the stay. This is a good venue for lots of people to stay there was a pool table and video games for guests to use. I wish the outside area would have been set up for small campfires and chairs to enjoy the evening time.
Our friends reported that the property was great. My husband and I were unable to go on the trip last minute but our 6 friends went and had a wonderful little getaway. Only complaint I heard was that mosquitos are horrible right now with the wet spring, but that doesnât reflect on the property. They loved the house, loved the scenery. The pictures we saw were beautiful
Upon arrival, we didn't know this property used to be an old bar! Tons of space and character, just a quick walk from the lake. Makala was great, we had a wonderful time.
Very roomy bar area was great nice big table my brothers and sons had plenty of room ,We could sit at the bar and play pool all night or relax by fire place ,
