Cozy Modern Home

Centrally located in West Haven, with the whole house being recently renovated and completely remodeled. There is also parking spots for our guests that can fit a few cars, backyard with outdoor furniture, umbrellas and fire pit.
There are 3 fully furnished bedrooms, sitting room and a full bathroom on the second floor. On the first floor there is one full furnished bedroom, a living room with dining space and a kitchen equipped with new SS appliances and utensils. There is also a half bathroom on the first floor along with a mud room.
Each floor offers comfortable, laptop- friendly space for remote working or learning.

There is a separate apartment in the basement for the property manager who lives there, he works a full time job during the week, and is available to assist with any issues, does not disturb the guests, has his own entrance in the back of the house.

Awesome

Great location and the host was awesome. We had planned a family vacation for NYC and Washington DC. We loved it house and was able to relax and enjoy our time. Would stay there again if ever needed to visit NYC again.

Nice, clean and comfortable

Although our stay was shorty we were pleased with the cleanliness of the house, the beds were very comfortable and the owner was very responsive. It had the items necessary that we needed to prepare our breakfast before we would head out for the day and return to sleep.

Very nice stay

If you want a quick getaway with friends and family to cool down and relax, or to do a get together and visit nearby attractions, this place is for you. Plenty of space in and out the house, nice and clean, and the beds are pretty comfortable. Over all a great place and will definitely visit again!

I had a small get together with friends, the house was nice, there’s not much in walking distance, but overall it was clean and smelled nice. The neighborhood was quiet and the bed was comfortable

Very nice place!

Very nice place, stay there for a couple of nights for a get together, plenty of room. Only problem was some of the cleaning supplies where locked away where we couldn’t access it so we had to bring a mop and other supplies.

West Haven Visit

I gave the property listing all five stars because all aspects of the property were as described in the listing. The only suggestion l have for improvement of the property would be for hand railings to be installed on the wall side of the stairs to the 2nd floor, as the stairs are very steep and hard to navigate for an older person.

Family get together for the 4th of July

The property was as advertised in. Although there's only one shower for 4 bedrooms, it is centrally located off fhe second floor landing. There are 2 common areas with TV's and that was wonderful for our family.

I had a decent stay

My only negative thing to say about this stay was the property manager did not communicate with me that there was a property manager that was staying in the basement of the house and he also lied to me saying he only had access to the house from the outside door but we found he had full access to the house due to the basement door that even we opened and saw. For the price we paid I think it should have been less since a tenant occupied the basement. Also felt very unruly having some we don’t know staying in the same house with us and us leaving our stuff there. Nothing was stolen but just that feeling is good. Overall decent stay but price should be changed or people renting the property should be notified of this discomforts.

West Haven House

Clean and comfortable house suitable for up to 7 people, but not quite enough comfortable seating for more than 3/4 people in the lounge area. Location good for getting into New Haven. Neighbourhood ok.

Clean, affordable and modern home

We were two families of four adults and three children and found the house adequate for our three night stay. We were looking for a place in between Providence, RI and Brooklyn, NY to meet that had a few child-friendly spots to visit. The house was clean, had all the basics we needed for our stay and was just as advertised. The property owner and managers were very responsive and helpful when we had questions or needed help. Aside from the nearby beaches, we discovered the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center which is 20 minutes from the property. We would definitely recommend the property to other families looking for clean reasonably priced accommodations in the area.

Adorable Home

We stayed at the West Haven for three nights to attend my sons white coat ceremony at Quinnipiac university. The location was perfect and not far from other attractions or restaurants. The only things to be aware of or I’d like to comment on is that with 4 bedroom was perfect but having one full bath and it being upstairs could be a concern for some, especially if anyone (elderly) has a hard time with stairs they may not be able to bathe lol The master bedroom is on main floor & is huge and beautifully decorated, with the other 3 rooms upstairs. Family room is good size and joins the kitchen but a family of 5 visiting and having only one couch to sit on makes it difficult for everyone to sit together comfortably to watch a movie or tv etc… , while a few are on the couch others need to sit on the hard dining room chairs. I’d suggest a smaller dining room table with a possible sectional and table lamps in the living room. Also with the 90+ degree days in CT., having the thermostat locked at a set temperature was no problem but then please put ceiling fans in the bedrooms for circulation as it got quite stuffy upstairs at night when it’s not hot enough for air to kick on at night Other then that, very cute home, very clean and the updates made to this older home are cute!! The owner was very responsive to any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this home!

Just our size

The home was comfortable and the perfect size for our family. There were a few issues. The water from the second floor shower leaked through the 1st floor kitchen. However, the owner was very responsive and addressed it right away. The TVs did not work very good—not sure what the problem was there. Most importantly, the home was advertised as having a washer and dryer but we were not allowed use. We were told it was a hazard to use the washer and dryer in the basement. This was very unfortunate as we then had to spend time at a laundry house. A 6-day stay warrants access to a washer and dryer.
