CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Welcome to the SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays, the premier condominium in the heart of Destin situated on a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The onsite Scenic Stays team at SunDestin looks forward to welcoming you to your next beach vacation at our 24-hour front desk. The experience of a lifetime awaits! SunDestin Beach Resort features expansive onsite amenities including a newly renovated outdoor pool, indoor pool (heated seasonally), outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, outdoor tiki bar (open seasonally), workout facility, event/meeting space, gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals and much more!

Upon entry to SunDestin Unit 410, you are greeted by a fully appointed, well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. An open dining and living room concept immediately follow, with comfortable seating for 4 guests and a relaxing sofa and armchair set after a long day at the beach and pool. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the emerald waters welcome you from the living room and spacious balcony with seating for two. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets directly overlooking the beach!

Refresh every night in the comfortable king bed located in the master bedroom, while the kids relax in the twin bunk beds nestled in the hallway or the queen sofa sleeper located in the living room. Enjoy the flat panel televisions located in the living room and bedroom both equipped with DVD players. DVD rentals are available in the lobby directly across from the gift shop!

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Location was great! Close to everything and easy access to the beach. The condo itself needs some updating as far as decor and furniture. There is an air conditioner unit on the balcony that makes sitting on the balcony no good! It's loud and puts off heat. It wasn't in the pictures online. I would have rented elsewhere had I known.

Suggestions

Found some dead bugs..about 2 inches long! in the bathroom when we got there..lol Oh..might need to add some bars in the shower or non slip strips. It was really slick! Other than that..the stay was great!

Great getaway

Just as advertised, one bedroom was small but just about perfect for a family of 4. Our balcony overlooked the beach and the view did not disappoint. All amenities were great as well.

Wonderful stay, but lacking a few small things

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful unit, but was missing things to make it a 5-star rating (kitchen lacked cutting board, coffee filters, scissors, and any seasoning whatsoever--like not even salt and pepper). We were never able to get Netflix or Amazon Prime working. The view was perfect, the amenities (pools, hot tub, etc) we're lovely, and we generally really enjoyed it.

Beautiful views

The view from the balcony was amazing. The beach is so beautiful. I should have stayed an extra day. The beds were really soft. The staff were all friendly. We had a great time. If we had to pick something negative it would be that i wish the pans i side were nonstick. Made them a pain to clean. Lol. But it really has everything you need. We'd totally stay again. Walmart close by for some groceries if needed.

Very typical!

The unit was average at best, the decor was strange. No dining table? No end tables. One could hardly move around the bed in the small bedroom. The from view from the balcony is obstructed by the wide railing,, (taller seating perhaps). An the private beach? if one isn’t paying a premium to rent a chair/umbrella combo,, you’re relegated to the (BACK OF THE BEACH) where you can’t see anything of the gulf or your younger family members. There’s enough room to walk thru the umbrellas. It’s a pretty beach, but it’s largely not walkable. Traffic in this area is a bit difficult to say the least. I would not recommend this unit nor this building!

Not impressed with the condo itself , the lights flickered the ceiling fan was broken , placement of furniture was odd , but loved the kitchen ( why 2 mantles )

Great beach view

The condo was conveniently located on the beach. Staff was very pleasant. Lots of restaurants nearby. Just wish it was more sq ft, but other than that, the condo had everything we needed.

Great place to stay!

We love staying at Sundestin and will probably come back again however there were a couple of items that they should know about and try to remedy. (1) there is a slight smell when you first enter the room, a chemical or something? (2) people in other rooms near ours were smoking pot on several evenings so we ended up not being able to use our balcony on those evenings. Sundestin staff were friendly and wonderful to deal with and the amenities are great as well. We will most likely be back.

I picked the wrong unit

My fault. I did not notice that there wasn\'t a table and chairs, nor were there any lamps or side tables, and no table on the balcony on which to set my coffee cup or glass of iced tea. The things I could not see included the base of the counter in the main bathroom falling apart due to the inability to prevent water from falling on the floor when using the shower. It is difficult to move around the bed because it takes up most of the space in the bedroom. The mattress is comfortable, though. The ice maker in the refrigerator doesn\'t work and the two ice trays are cracked so that they only make 4 or 5 cubes of ice at a time. The faucet in the kitchen has the cartridge in 180 degrees off so that the hot water comes out if you push the lever to the cold side. If you are not aware of the cracked trays, the water floods out in the freezer creating a sheet of ice to remove. There is a good view of the beach from the balcony and the building is in a good location for visiting restaurants and attractions. I am not sure who has the responsibility for correcting these issues, but the unit could be a nice place to stay with a little help.
