Relax and refresh at Rustic Acres Homestead & Springs. Rustic Acres was family built and is family run. This is a great place for a family getaway or dedicated time to catch up with friends!

Guest access
Guests have access to all main areas of the house, both decks, the fire pit in front of the lower level, the waterfall and spring. The garage is also an apartment where Jon our property manager stays, so that is not shared.

Other things to note
We have WiFi at Rustic Acres, but the cell service is non-existent. You may be able to make calls at the end of the drive or can use the landline for emergencies.

Please note we welcome travelers, and you may have fellow visitors in the camper during camping season. The camper is located on the far end of the property away from the house.

When you book with Rustic Acres, we donate a portion of our earnings to help people in need find temporary housing. Thank you for your part in supporting this cause!

Outdoor fun including a waterfall!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Rustic Acres!! The house is huge and has so many fun touches. We loved playing the board games, making s'mores at the fire pit, eating dinner out on the deck, and the pool table. But the highlight is the creek and waterfall in the yard!! My kids had a blast and spent hours exploring the creek and waterfall. The house is a perfect location, just outside of town and close to all the attractions. It was so much fun and we're already thinking of making plans to come back next year!!

Spring Break

The house and property are perfect. It was the perfect get away for 2 families with teenagers to catch up and spend quality family time together. The kitchens had everything we needed. And te kids loved the board games. Especially Harry Potter Clue and Decorah Monopoly.

Beautiful and relaxing

This was our second time staying at Rustic Acres. Both times have been for a girls getaway. We will definitely be back again. I also for to take my family there for a little getaway sometime soon as well

Wonderful property. Spring and creek were beautiful! House was clean, well-equipped and warm even in January in Decorah Iowa. Uncle Jon was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all around!!

Fabulous place to make some memories!!!

Everything about Rustic Acres and the description is true. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The spring provided a lovely natural background sound for our evenings. The location. Was easy to get to and close enough to Decorah and Bluffton for canoeing. The home was the perfect size for our group of eight. Actually we had room for more. We had fires every evening with all of our family all around the fire pit. The children played in the yard, played volleyball, hiked and the best thing of all we made memories. We sat at the dinner table every day for Breakfast and dinner. So nice to have everything we needed to make our meals. Only wish we had a few more days there. Because it was truly delightful. I’m originally from Northeast Iowa and I wanted to show my grandkids where I go up. This was the best place to settle every day … I would recommend Rustic Acres to everyone. And hope to return there again someday soon. I will stay a little bit longer.👍😘💕💕

Wish we could have stayed longer

We had such a great time. The house was what we needed. It was so accommodating to what we needed. Just wished the weather would have been nicer to enjoy the outside more. The kids loved the waterfall and it was so nice to take them fishing right down the road. That way if they got tired they could just come back to the house. Perfect place that was very relaxing get away.

Loved this place, inside and out! The house was large and worked well with our family. We loved exploring outside, the waterfalls are stunning and the kids loved playing in the creek, fed the horses and flew kites! Would love to go back♥️

Great Country Retreat

This property is a wonderful country retreat. The grounds are secluded with a private spring that flows into a waterfall and meandering creek. The kitchens (both upstairs and downstairs) are well equipped with anything needed to cook meals. The bedrooms on three separate levels offered adequate privacy, and the common areas were great for socializing. A caretake lives on the grounds in a building separate from the house, and the owner communicated with us both before and after our stay. I highly recommend this property.
