BILLY BEAR is centrally located between highlands nc and franklin nc and clayton ga , also centrally located to helen ga and cherokee nc . billy bear is close to dillard ga and sky valley ga , black rock state park in mountain city ga is 3 miles south and tallulah falls gorge 12 miles south lots of hiking and waterfall hikes and tours . restaurants local include dillard house , julep farms ,country cupboard .valley cafe . highlands aerial park is at scaly mtn just a 4 mile drive . there is a firepit at billy bear with seating for 4 bring firewood , billy bear has heat and ac units with fans . roku tv,s with dvds with over 200 movies and wifi , the covered porch has seating with a swing and a private yard with tree line around . clayton ga 6 miles south has nice restaurants like fortify outdoor dining like the u joint and shopping and fast food places . billy bear is 1 mile from dillard with lots of antique shops and specialty businesses . rabun bald is a short drive and great hike being the 2nd highest mountain in georgia . there is a small carport and parking for 2 cars max guests is 4 including children we allow 1 pet with a fee to cover deep cleaning and filter change after stay . we suggest you purchase travel insurance if plans change on your booking we cannot alter reservations the scenery and mountains are like no other place with waterfalls and wildlife . Located in Dillard, billy bear is in a rural area and on a knoll surrounded by mountains easy drive too. Osage Farm and Whistle Stop Mall are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Chattahoochee National Forest and Nantahala National Forest. Andy's Trout Farm and Highlands Aerial Park are also worth visiting. Rafting and motor boating offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and horse riding nearby.

A place to stay

The outdoor area is nice, plenty of seating. Enough room for me and my husband and 2 large teenage boys. We stayed in long enough to sleep, eat, hygiene etc. was very clean, had all the supplies, we spent the majority of the time outside of the property.

Friends getaway

Billy Bear cabin was a nice place to stay- clean, comfortable and very homey. Could use better mattresses and better plates in the kitchen. We did really enjoy the comfy front porch!!! Relaxing getaway for my friend and I!

Mountain cabin

Cabin was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed having their own rooms. The fire pit was wrll-stocked with wood- a nice area to hang out.

Fantastic place!

A wonderful experience at a clean and nice cabin! A well-maintained cabin cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The internet did not work first but Robert was very helpful and I figured it out. I would recommend this place to anybody!!!

Great place for the weekend. Enjoyed the weather and the firpit. Place was clean and neat. One thing would to add a foldable bistro table and chairs outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. But all in all enjoyed it.

GREAT PLACE

Highly recommend this house. Owner very accessible and helpful. Read where someone complained about noise. We never heard anything. Very peaceful and in a good location. Wife and I have alreadyy talked abour coming back here in the future. Had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for letting is stay.

Lovely

Easy check in/out. Very quaint, quiet, close proximity to town. No dishwasher, low water pressure in the shower. There were 2 large dogs running around the property a couple times throughout our stay from neighboring homes; we had our dogs so that was a little annoying but they didn't linger so that was a plus. Would stay again.

Perfect stay for the weekend

I had a overall very good experience . Came down for a mountain running race that started in Sky Valley(which was a quick drive from the property)Had a 2 night stay. The cabin was described perfectly by the owner, super easy to find and get to. No surprises, very clean, and cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Very easy check- in, easy access to main road to Dillard or Clayton Georgia, good restaurants with good service nearby also. Minutes from Black Rock Mountain State park. You can tell the owner(s) take pride in their property. Would definitely stay again.

Not a cabin, but nice

Based on the description I had seen up to that point, I was surprised to find a double wide trailer and not a cabin, though it was indeed a nice double wide. TVs didn’t work, as the internet was not working, and there was NO hot water. Other than this, property was as described. Great location!

NIce stay. Nice property.

An nice little house. Its not actually "in the mountains" but is close to them. We hiked up Rabin Bald. There is plenty of room for four people excerpt that the dinning table only has room for two. Several nice rocking chairs in the main room and on the front porch. I never could figure out how to work the TV. There is not much to do in Dillard
