Blue Moon Cove is a beautifully remodeled Lake House in one of the most beautiful and safest neighborhoods on the lake. Waterfront property at an off water nightly rate! You'll love the scenic drive into our community! The main house has a big living room with a sectional couch to watch the big game. 5 Bedrooms with 1 King bed and an ensuite bathroom, 2 More bedrooms include Queens with access to a full bathroom, 1 Queen bedroom with ensuite half bath and also a bunk room with twin over full bunks and a futon for the kiddos. The lake is directly in your back yard. If you are inclined to bring your own boat or PWCs, we have cleats for you to tie up during your stay. Fishing in our cove is excellent if you wish to try it from our boathouse. Enjoy the firepit for smores and story telling. We also have two kayaks available for your enjoyment. In the morning you'll love enjoying coffee on the screened in porch while watching our cove residents -two white herons - hunt for fish. Washer and dryer is available.
Cedar Creek is a reservoir owned by Tarrant County Water District. As such, the water level is out of our control. If you plan to use the lake for boating, please check the water levels before traveling as we have no control over how much rain the area receives or how much water Tarrant Cty removes from the lake. https://www.cedarcreeklake.com/level
Our stay at the Blue Moon Cove was amazing. The house was extremely inviting and well accommodating. The out door space was wonderful for evening's and mornings. Just a great weekend on the lake. Our host was just spot on. Very quick response time.
Blue Moon Cove is a beautiful property and was the perfect fit for our family of 8. It was immaculate and had all that we needed to be comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. Heather was super quick to answer any questions and even let us have an early check-in so we could prepare for our Thanksgiving. We would love to stay there again.
Great property. House is spacious, kitchen well stocked. Fabulous yard and both indoor and outdoor patios and porches. Loved our morning coffee outside with family members. Location on the cove is great for paddle boarding.
We had a family birthday celebration for several family members and enjoyed our stay immensely. After a few hiccups in the beginning, we were able to settle in and enjoy our stay. It was a great family vacation and the house comfortably accommodated all of us.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. There were plenty of bedrooms to accommodate our extended family, and it was nice and clean. One of the queen bedrooms is more of an office conversion with French doors with blackout curtains directly off the dining room. The neighborhood was very quaint. The boat ramp access was ideal, and the dock was nice to tie up to. The water was only about 2 feet deep at the dock, so it was very muddy and harder to get in/out but the kids still enjoyed themselves. It was nice not to have to worry about boat traffic while they were swimming.
This house was great for our group stay. There was plenty of space for the adults and teens to spread out. Loved the screened in porch! We were able to sit in the backyard and enjoy the fireworks as well.
My brother and I got out of Wisconsin for warmer weather and no snow so we could golf. We have some cousins and friends in the Dallas area; thus the choice of location. The property worked out very well for us.
House was great and as advertised. Nice quiet neighborhood. Water was low but that was only downside to the whole trip. Will definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone. Host was easy to contact and very prompt in replying.
We ended up using all the rooms and 7 people found it very comfortable - I imagine double that number would still be fine if not all adults. We spent little time in the house other than sleeping and breakfast but we didn't notice anything missing. We did comment on the lack of hanging space in the master bedroom as the owners keep the closet locked for their own stuff. Remember to take your own soap and shampoo but there are plenty of towels. One last thing - when parking beware the old oak tree with a lot of dead branches and park away from that - we were lucky not to end up with a big bill for damage to our rental car from branches that fell just inches away. There's a lot of room in the drive though.
This location was great for our family of 6 adults and 5 children ages 7-17. The host was wonderful to communicate with. We were disappointed that the lake was so low upon our arrival without access from the yard as anticipated. My husband and son took fishing gear, including live bait, anticipating fishing from the boat dock in the back or off the banks, but the water was SO low that it was just a mud bank below. I'd communicated with the owner several times and wish this had been mentioned. Also, we've stayed in vrbo homes for Christmas before and there have always been wonderful Christmas decorations, including a tree, for the seasonal visit. We arrived first and so my husband went out to buy a small tree and lights to put up before all the kids arrived to create a festive ambience. The property listing said game room and the informational book on site said man cave, but there was neither other than if you count a tv and old video games in one bedroom. Again, we've stayed in vrbo homes before with game room and indeed it was a game room. So that was both misleading and disappointing. I think the owner could improve the guest experience by: 1) ensure that the housekeeper deep cleans. One of the grandsons lost something on the couch so we removed the cushions in the search and on my! - crud! 2) check some items - there are games for use, but there are parts and pieces missing so that they cannot be used; no sheets for the futon.
We had three families together for a short getaway at the lake. This home had plenty of bedrooms to accommodate all of us. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The location was great too. The community boat ramp was close to we could launch a boat within a short walk from the home. Would highly recommend this home
The only negative about our stay had NOTHING to do with the rental. It had to so with the drought and there not being water. But, we absolutely LOVED THE PROPERTY!
We had such a great stay at Blue Moon Cove! We take an annual lake trip every year with extended family and this place worked perfectly for all our needs.
The only thing to note is that the part of the lake that this house backs up to is very narrow and shallow. Due to the drought Texas has experienced it was completely dried up. We had to leave the property to do any sort of fishing or lake activities which wasnât ideal.
Weâd gladly stay here again, but would just make sure the lake levels are back up before doing so!
Our party of 8 was only there for the weekend but enjoyed the house immensely! Beds were comfy, linens were very nice and kitchen was well appointed. Quiet neighborhood. Nice views of the lake when walking the neighborhood. Would definitely come back!
The house was plenty big enough for the 6 of us and our two cars, mornings on the screened in porch were tranquil, and evenings on the deck were nice and relaxing. We did a lot of our cooking while there, and the kitchen was well equipped!
Altogether couldn't have asked for a better stay!
This property offers space for larger groups and families so they can spend time together but not be living right on top of one another. We love the beautiful cove our home sits on.... So much wildlife and friendly neighbors who are quiet, but also enjoy a good time and don't disparage others for enjoying themselves. The water is protected and calm, thus safe for swimming and easier for docking the boat than the busier water.
