The location of this property is amazing. Very convenient beach access and the private pool was great. We were pleased with the outdoor amenities, but disappointed in the condition of the inside, mainly the bathrooms. With a dog-friendly rental we didn't expect to have fancy furniture, but the furniture also left a lot to be desired.
Perfect for our family. We loved the pool and beach access with benches was perfect for my 86 yr old mother. Will definitely return. Kitchen was furnished with absolutely everything. Home was spotless
We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect size for my family. The newly added pool is really nice too. The overall cleanliness could have been a little betterâŠ..floors needed more attention. Overall great house, would definitely rent again!!
We enjoyed our stay in this oceanfront cottage. Nice pool and nice deck and gazebo. There were a few issues with tvâs not being connected, pots and pans were put away not thoroughly cleaned and an outside table that was broken and broken unsafe. The management company was very quick to address our concerns have the table replaced and the other issues taken care of. We would definitely star here again.
Towels needed to be replaced, they were worn
Cleanliness an issue, bathrooms were not clean, mold around tile work in showers, comet stains on walls near toilets, floors dirty, carpet throughout needed to be carpet cleaned, worn rugs, baseboard edges next to carpet were filthy, missing window screens, hvac systems were not adequate for the house, air circulation issues, light bulbs burned out, gas tank to outside grill was empty, rusty beach chairs, dirty windows, kitchen counters needed cleaning, floors had not been mopped, great location
Overall the house was fine. The location was good and the bedrooms were nice. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked dinner there most nights. Our only complaint was the bathrooms. The shower stalls are pretty small and the doors stick on some of the bathrooms making it hard to get in and out of them.
Amazing Views and Beach Access (But Very Strange Layout!)
Positives
#1: The kitchen and living room have a beautiful view of the ocean. When it's sunny, the home gets a lot of very nice light.
#2: The private walkway to the beach (which includes a gazebo and a few well placed reading benches) is wonderful, and the deck area is spacious and comfortable for outside dinner/morning coffee...etc...
#3: If you are traveling with dogs (our group had 2), the fenced backyard area is a really great space for them to frolic.
Negatives
#1: The downstairs ("ground floor") bedrooms are not attached to the main floor! If you're staying on the ground floor, then, you have to get upstairs by walking up the back deck or walking through the car port and up the front porch. This is not ideal under any circumstances, but definitely not when it's raining (as it did a few days this week).
#2: The so-called ground floor bedrooms are also connected to each other in a really unusual way. In order to get outside, the people in the two twin beds have to walk through the room with the king bed. Unless a family is sharing these two rooms, this will make for some uncomfortable closeness. (My group of friends changed our rooming plans so that no one had to stay in the ground floor twin bedroom.)
#3: To be blunt, this home could use some maintenance. On the main floor, the door to the bathroom jams very easily, meaning that it often needs to be yanked hard in order to get it open. (This isn't the only door with issues, by the way. The front storm door is also squeaky and slightly broken.) On the deck, there are a lot of nails that have popped up a bit and can easily be tripped over.
#4: If you're traveling in a big group (but looking for peace and quiet), I would not recommend this home because the walls are pretty thin and it's very easy to hear everything going on in the kitchen from any of the main floor bedrooms. On that note, one of the main floor bedrooms is super close to both the front door and the oven.
In spite of these concerns, which I am sharing in detail so that future renters have a more realistic sense of this property than what I perceived on the VRBO listing, my group (of 10) had an amazing time!
A location that canât be beat! Although it was just my wife and I, this house can accommodate several guests comfortably.
Overall, the house was very clean, plenty of towels, etc., the kitchen was well appointed. The only areas of improvement I would recommend is that the yard really needed to be raked, one bathroom door handle was missing (that was odd), and whoever painted the interior of the house was not all that careful. But for a beach rental, overall I thought the house was in good condition. We were very happy and satisfied. We would certainly rent this property again!
