Newly renovated kitchen and main living space (in 2022), this charming home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac street, only a one-minute walk to the ocean, in beautiful Ocean Sands Section C. This neighborhood of large lots and quiet streets is great for kids and families to safely ride their bikes and walk to the ocean. Also, fewer homes make for more space to run and play on the beautiful wide beach. The large, east-facing deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee with the sunrise, or an afternoon glass of wine in the shade. Sidewalks on Ocean Trail / Rt. 12 make for safe walking to Harris Teeter, Starbucks, Duck Donuts, and many more nearby shops. The home is well equipped with updated stainless-steel kitchen appliances, two refrigerators, beverage cooler, and a large pantry–everything you need to make memories around the table as well as outdoors. Spend your time relaxing on the beach, splashing in the pool, and soaking up the sun. There is an enclosed outdoor shower and shady spots to hang out under the house with chairs, a hammock, and a rope swing. or, you can head to the backyard and relax in the large private pool after a day at the ocean. Don’t forget to send the kids to climb and swing under the magical oak trees in the backyard. Remember to slow down and enjoy the Simple Life OBX! Distance to Beach Access: Approximately 120 yards.

Private Pool Dates: The private pool is open May 1st through October 15th. The private pool is unavailable outside of these dates.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Worst house we've ever stayed in!

There was a leak in the ceiling in the living room. Microwave in kitchen didn't work, kept tripping the breaker.

Relaxation Was Our Week!

This beach house was wonderful! We had 10 in our family and everyone enjoyed the location as well as the many amenities it has to offer. The pool was fantastic along with all the outdoor seating areas. Lots of room to space out if you need some time away from the group. The beach was very close and private (not a lot of people) but there are many steps to hike over to get to the beach. The culdesac was wonderful for our small children to ride their scooters without traffic. We would stay at this home again and would recommend it as your vacay get-away!!

Great location

Just 1/2 block 2 min walk from a beautiful beach. Comfortable home has space for everyone. Beautiful new kitchen and extra bathroom. Very short drive to shops and activities.

Family shore trip!

House was perfect! Great layout with the kitchen and family room all together. Pool was fabulous and refreshing after a day at the beach. Only negative would be that there wasn’t any cleaning supplies to tidy up the counters or tables on a daily basis. Also some spices would have been great! Family enjoyed the quiet beautiful beaches every day! Thank you!

Home was great! Vacasa not so much

The home was great everything you needed was there, kitchen was well stocked very happy with our stay, however, not so happy with Vacasa we did run into an issue with the sink as grease built up and broke one of the pipes. It took vacasa over one day to fix this, we cannot use the kitchen and water was leaking downstairs. Disappointed that we wasted a day cleaning up water and had to reach out 3 times to vacasa before someone was sent out, water did leak from upstairs into a lighting fixture so that made things very uncomfortable

Great vacay at Simple Life OBX OS21

Steps from beach, house was clean with everything you need and well organized. Large pool was great for the kids. Management company was uber responsive to replace a broken toaster and clogged sink, fixed in hours. Note that there are 30 steps to climb the dune so you will need other access if you have mobility issues.

Location is great. The great room in the house with a kitchen on one end and family area on yhe other provides lots of room to play, socialize, etc. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved the lights in the pool.

Perfect Rental for two families

Beautifully renovated kitchen and living room- (and new 3rd bathroom) fits all your needs!!! The owner has thought of everything! Comfortable beds, beautiful pool and yard. Short safe easy walk to beach access, spacious wide open beach .

Great property

We had a great time! Enough room for everyone in the home. Loved the update in the kitchen and living room and the additional 3rd bathroom on the 1st floor. The kids absolutely loved the pool. Only thing that was concerning is so many nails as you walked out the back door to the pool. We had a blast and would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The property was perfect for 4 families to stay. The home had everything we needed including beach chairs and wagons! Loved that we could come home from the beach and rinse off in the outdoor shower to end the day lounging in the pool. Found a chair swing hidden in the woods which was a fun surprise. Hammock was a great bonus to relax in. Great place to stay.

Perfect beach week.

Perfect stay, Great week with family. We had a total of two houses on the same street. House has been recently renovated and the online photos do not show the new improvements so it was a pleasant surprise. House was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was brand new. Pool was nice, perfect and clean. There was an organized indoor storage area with nice beach chairs and other beach equipment all hung up neatly, even a wagon. We didn’t even use any of it. Usually rentals have old broken leftover beach equipment so we had packed our own. Next time I will leave our extra gear at home. Air condition was plenty good Although - we didn’t realize it was a “smart” thermostat (not a NEST which we have ourselves) until the 5th night . We were hot at night for several nights in the bedrooms until we finally figured out that the thermostat and auto-fan setting was programmed to a high temperature at night. There are two new additional split AC mounted systems added to the kitchen and new enclosed basement area and those worked easily and well with a mounted wall remote. House was not ready at 4:00 pm for check in. Suggestion would be to text us and let us know as soon as you are aware it won’t be ready at 4:00 pm since we have so many people traveling from far away and so we can find somewhere else to go. It was obvious someone put a lot of thought in to details and planning to make it a comfortable rental house : simple things like labeling light switches , dimmers on bed side lights,, plenty of bath towels . Overall I highly recommend this house. Thank you.

Great location

So close to the beach and close enough to walk. The pool was nice and the updated kitchen is beautiful. The outdoor space is beautiful and relaxing. The only drawback would be the other bathrooms.

We enjoyed our stay very nice home.

Home has a very nice pool and beach access is a short walk. The screen porch is nice for outdoor eating. Inside you'll find everything you need from beach chairs and umbrellas to pool and beach toys. The Kitchen is well equipped, and everything is easy to find.

Another OBX vacation the books!

This is the second time we rented this house. We love it…especially for our small family. Love the pool and the proximity to the beach. The communication and check-in/check-out process was seemless.

Wonderful stay!

This home is perfect for two families! Plenty of space!!! The pool area and extra grass areas were awesome! Very very short walk to the beach! The beds were amazingly comfortable! Plenty of closet space! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need! Even containers to store food! There were a couple small problems and maintenance came out very quickly! The wooden deck needs to be treated, it’s worn. The house could use a little updating. There are beach chairs, umbrellas for the beach, a cart to take to the beach, plenty of towels for the bathrooms, high chair, pack and play, hair dryers, mixer, crockpot, corn hole. The outside shower was Great! We had an amazing stay! You can hear the waves from out on the deck. The Corolla area was very very nice and we’d stay in this area again!
