À quelques pas de la plage, "China Swan" est une maison à 3 niveaux avec une superbe terrasse couverte enveloppante. Le porche est parfait pour regarder le lever et le coucher du soleil, ainsi que les chevaux sauvages locaux!

La maison est située à 5 km de la plage d'où se termine la route goudronnée à Corolla. Un véhicule 4x4 est requis! Les conditions de conduite sur la plage varient toutes les heures en fonction de la circulation, de la météo et des marées.

Le niveau principal comprend une grande salle, salle à manger, salle familiale avec télévision par satellite, cuisine et buanderie. Terrasse couverte enveloppante, terrasse ensoleillée et véranda grillagée. Profitez de la vue depuis le hamac et la balançoire du porche.

Le niveau supérieur dispose de 3 chambres. TV écran plat dans chaque chambre. La chambre principale a sa propre salle de bain et une vue sur l'océan et le son. Une chambre avec deux lits. Une chambre avec montre de bateau ... voyez le lever du soleil depuis le lit! Le niveau supérieur a également une salle de bain complète avec bain à remous.

La salle de jeux au niveau inférieur avec lits superposés et canapé-lit est idéale pour toute la famille. Le niveau inférieur a une demi-baignoire, avec une douche extérieure.

Beautiful week with the horses

We really enjoyed staying in this home. Driving on the beach to get to the house was fun and seeing the horses almost daily was such a treat. We'll definitely be back!

A great place to get away

A very nice house and a great location if you want to get away from the main bustle. Just be mindful of the tides. There is a house on the beach that can cause access challenges when it is high tide. I would give communication with host more than 5 stars if I could. He was very outstanding both before and during our stay.

Trip of a lifetime!

This was the perfect location for a beach getaway! The house is footsteps away from the beach and not too far from town. We saw wild horses every day! It was a home away from home!

Great place to stay

We loved our stay in this location. The house was roomy and great for our family. The wrap around porch facilitated us being outside no matter which way the wind was blowing. Just a short walk over the dune and we were at the beach. Loved the wild horses in the yard or the area each day. Would definitely recommend

Great vacation

This was our first time driving on the beach and we loved it. House was nice and everything was clean. Note on the directions you can’t see mile marker 16 ( the state should have two of them up for each direction).

I fully recommend staying at China Swan!! As a first timer to not Corolla not only this property was amazing but so was Stuart! He was so easy to communicate with and always had extremely prompt and helpful responses! The house itself is beautiful and has the best views!

Amazing location and experience

We didn't want to come home. The horses were so close, even sleeping under the house. It's a very short walk or drive to the beach, right next to the access. It's also fun watching the horse tours and other vehicles navigate the water near the property. We would definitely return.

Beach house in 4x4 area of Corolla, NC

We rented the house for a week get away in mid October. The house is on the beautiful 4x4 access section of the beach. It is far enough from town to be private but has easy access to town. Everything was very clean and especially well equipped. We loved the wrap around porch and seeing the horses, foxes, shore birds and a bald eagle. It was a wonderful week and we want to come back in the future with our adult kids.

Horse Lovers Paradise

If you love to see the wild horses, this is the place to stay. We saw them multiple times a day all around the house. Views of the beach from the porch swing and hammock were great. We had 6 adults and one child under 2 and had more than enough room. The owner was extremely attentive and helpful with any questions or concerns. Thank you Stuart! We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing vacation!!

Great house - clean, roomy, comfortable bedding and had everything we needed for the week. Pictures and description represent the house well. Watched the wild horses daily. The porch swing and hammock were a big hit with the family. The location was nice and the ocean waves could be heard from the porch. The beach vehicle permit was a surprise bonus. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Relaxing vacation!!

We had a magical stay here! Horses all around us everyday. Views were beautiful, the location was peaceful and relaxing. Woke up twice to horses grazing in our yard. Each day on the beach we had multiple small herds of horses come by. Really enjoyed the large porches and covered decks… great breezes and the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Perfect getaway if your looking to avoid the crowds and enjoy nature :)

Amazing property

Way better than what was described in the listing. Saw horses every day. The road in front of the house flooded, which was fine as you don't actually need it to get to the house. You must have a 4x4 vehicle to get to house though, even AWD SUV's were getting stuck in the sand.

As promised, the horses didn’t disappoint. They made daily appearances right to our yard! The sand roads can be difficult to maneuver, especially at high tides. 4WD was a a must! Kitchen is very well stocked with any gadget or utensil you could possibly need. Beds were comfortable and bedding was clean and soft. Overall we had a great time relaxing, playing at the beach and enjoying our family time.

Perfect location to relax and enjoy the 4x4 beach

My family and I couldn't be more pleased with this house and it's location. The size of the house was perfect for our family of five to spread out to have our own personal space but to enjoy family time together as well. The beach was in close proximity to walk if we didn't want to drive. The best part of staying at this house was waking up every morning to watch the wild horses minus the horse tours stopping in front. We could have done without them. Overall, the house fit our needs. Our teenagers love the downstairs area to "hang out" and we loved the porches to drink our coffee in the mornings. We definitely will rent again!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at China Swan. While the house was lovely, we hardly stayed inside. We were on the beach from sun up to sun down, slept and got up and did the same thing again! We loved the proximity to the beach. We loaded the truck up with all our beach stuff and then it was a quick walk back as needed during the day. The huge porch was a great place to escape the sun for a few hours and we spent lots of time watching the horses from there. They came by almost every day! Driving on the beach was an experience and it is a drive to get to the more active part of Corolla, but we were looking for a more quiet beach trip and this was the perfect property for that. We were all sad to leave!

Great Time

We loved the house and the location!! The front porch was our favorite part. Between the breeze from the ocean and the shade from the roof, the temperature on the porch was comfortable. This was especially noteworthy given our trip was in July. We fought over who got to stay in the hammock. It was my first time to Corolla. Loved seeing the horses and driving up and down the beach. The only downsides were the internet (which I think is a problem for everyone in that area) and the dryer. The internet was strong enough to stream netflix. The drier would not dry towels no matter what setting was used.

Perfect location for the wild horses of Corolla.

My family and I fell in love with this property the moment we arrived. We have three teenagers so we had ample room to spread out and have privacy. The porch area was our favorite. We could view the wild horses with ease from the porch. Beach access was in walking distance, which made it super easy for anyone to go at any time instead of having to load up the vehicle each time to head out. WiFi was spotty due to the location of the property on the 4WD beach, definitely not strong enough for gaming for my teenage son, but if you want to get away from it all and you don't mind traversing over the sand, this location is for you! Only negative is there are only two shower/tub combos inside the house with one of these in the master. With three teenagers, an extra shower/tub combo in one of the other two half bathrooms would have been helpful, but the house itself and the spacious of it made up for it. We loved our host, Stuart. He was so responsive every time we reached out to him. Thanks Stuart for your hospitality!

So So Beach vacation.

The location to the beach is great. If you love horses, this would be your house. However, with the horses at the house everyday, so are the horse tour trucks. You will sit on the porch with your morning coffee or dinner on the deck and the horse tour buggies will be right in front of your house looking at the horses. We questioned if the house was cleaned prior to our arrival. There was two welcome bags, one was filled with items for us, one was empty. There was sand on the floor, mind you, I made everyone take their shoes off before entering. Bedroom decorations were dusty. There were additional things I noticed through the week that just made me wonder. Also, there was garbage in the garbage cans under the house, obviously from the person staying there before us. By the end of our stay the smell was quite strong. One lamp needed a light bulb, for a box in the closet however it was empty. The master bedroom tv only had a DVD player and my son and I both attempted to make it work, I questioned whether the tv was even compatible with the DVD player. The tv in one of the other bedrooms had a large delay or would just shut off when you were trying to switch the channels. I don't go on vacation to watch tv but at the end of the day when everyone is exhausted from playing on the beach all day, chilling out is kind of nice. The "beach chairs" were old school lawn chairs and the boogie boards were broken.

Corolla house

I questioned how clean the place was upon arrival it had a stale odor, there was a dirty wash cloth on the floor in the bathroom, the master bedroom spread had stains all over it. On our second day in the house 2 people showed up and stated they needed to check some thing. They never identified themselves. They walked right into the house. I called the owner and he said he didn’t know they were going. I told him that I would have appreciated a phone call. On another day my husband was in the shower and the water turned off. After he dried off he noticed a truck outside. He asked the guy what was going on. The guy informed him that he was changing the filter. Again no communication from the owner. The oven didn’t work. The best part of the vacation was the horses never disappointed, they were at the house every day. The wrap around porch was great and the kitchen was well equipped. I would not return to this rental
