Harwich Port -Walk to Atlantic Street Beach and Downtown Shops
Outstanding Harwich Port location! This charming property comes with a newly remodeled guest house, which is really a 2nd fully functional house. A perfect gathering place for multiple families! The main house and the guest house each have 4 bedrooms, full kitchens, 2 full bathrooms, a washer/dryer, an outdoor shower and outdoor eating and seating areas.
The property is situated in a residential area just a short walk to the beach on Nantucket Sound with a similarly short walk to the shops and restaurants of Harwich Port center. The inviting front porch of the main house greets you before entering into the first floor which has a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. The downstairs shower is in the laundry room and the toilet and sink are in an adjacent room which makes it nice when you have multiple people trying to get ready for a day at the beach or a day exploring all there is to see and do on the Cape. There is a second refrigerator on the back side porch. That porch also has a twin bed for an additional overnight guest. This completes the first floor.
Upstairs there are four nicely sized bedrooms and a full bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have king beds and two of the bedrooms have queen beds. The upstairs full bathroom is unique in that it has a beautiful clawfoot tub that has been converted to a shower.
The main house has beautiful southern pine floors, gas heat, central air conditioning and a nice outside dining area, lounge area, outdoor shower and lawn.
The newly remodeled guest house sits off the back corner of the main house. It is easily accessed from the back steps of the main house and also has it's own entrance from another street. The guest house has a family room, dining room, kitchen, stackable washer/dryer, and full bathroom on the first floor. Upstairs there is the second full bathroom, and four bedrooms. One room has a king bed, another bedroom has a queen bed, a third bedroom has two twin beds and the fourth bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. The guest house has beautiful wood floors, air conditioning, and gas heat The guest house has its own patio with dining area and it's own outdoor shower.
The beach for both homes is the public beach on Atlantic Avenue, which is a 1/10th of a mile walk. There are a few other public beaches that are a short walk away. There is a private association beach on Quason Lane, however we do not currently have access to that beach. I thought I'd mention this fact so that there is no confusion for those that are familiar with the area.
Another added feature for this unique property is the ample parking. Each house can accommodate at least 5 cars or 10 cars total.
Having vacationed in Harwich Port with extended family for over 20 years we are excited to share our home with you. We own a 2nd vacation property on Thompson Lake in Maine that we have been renting for the past 20 years (VRBO#624579) that has all 5 star ratings.
