A Century home, built in 1864, is full of charm and warmth with several porches and decks overlooking the wooded property. Its original wood beam ceilings, finished wood floors, double wide hallways and a centrally located two-sided fireplace gives it solace and warmth. Private baths and high-speed wireless Internet give you all the comforts of home. The 3rd level porch is the most relaxing area to enjoy the fire-pit table while sipping on a glass of wine from the Ohio Valley Wineries in the area. The quiet and allure of this century home is great for reading, studying, enjoying friends and family or just kindling a romance. *Please note that this is an extended stay with a minimum of 31day bookings. There is a $50 per person per night if guests are added after booking and not included in original guest count.
Cathy Jo was extremely good with communication throughout the process. Location was perfect for our family event in town this wknd. Beautiful home and property.
We stayed here last year and loved the gorgeous home, so it was an easy call to book again. Cathy Jo is extremely responsive and always ready to help if you need it. The only negative would be for large, active families. Everything is so fancy, you can get a little nervous if there are little ones running around. But our grandkids loved their special room on what they called "the third floor"
The kitchen was very equipped with all essentials and then some! We enjoyed all of Cathy Jo's extra attention to detail to make our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. She met us at the house at check in, which was a bit out of the ordinary for VRBO, but once we were on the tour, it was very beneficial and obvious why it was necessary. The house is very unique and well maintained.
CJ is an incredible hostess and her home is breathtaking. This was exactly what we needed to relax as a family and visit with old friends while in the Cleveland area. The photos are beautiful, but it was even better in person!
The home is beautiful and CJ was an amazing host. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again when in the area.
This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Cathy Jo was such a warm and gracious host. If you have any issues navigating stairs this may not be the place for you, otherwise I certainly recommend.
Pictures accurately represent the property. Great location for the area. CJ provided many extras to make us feel at home-muffins, snacks and drinks. The kitchen was well stocked. Communication was great before and throughout our stay.
This place exceeded our expectations. All the amenities included a full fridge, very nice kitchen set up, and cozy beds. Would be a nice place to stay for a few days to take advantage of everything. Kathy was very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!
Pictures on the website did not do justice to this home. The hospitality of the owner was tremendous, as was the peace and quiet of the experience. The back porch with fireplace was relaxing, and we felt comfortable visiting together. We would recommend this home to others.
Owner was extremely generous and responsive. Beautiful home with everything you could want in the kitchen.
Home was a short drive to Headlands Beach. A great place to look for rocks.
CathyJo was an excellent host. Muffins and homemade chicken soup were an excellent touch. Very well equipped kitchen. Loved the decks. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Cathy Jo!
Itâs an old house built in 1846. Itâs renovated and very spacious and well equipped with anything you may need and more!!! Host met us at 10pm arrival, gave us tour of house AND had stocked kitchen for breakfast so we did NOT. have to do late night run to the grocery store. We had plenty of space for our family to gather. One note is that all bedrooms are upstairs and stairs are very steep, but my dad who is 83 was able to navigate them. It was a comfy, warm place to stay!! Great front porch and back porch sitting!! Try itâŠyouâll LOVE it!!
Lovely stay visiting some old stopping grounds and foubd some new favorites too. Cathy Jo and friends were very open and regularly checked in to see if anything was needed. Accommodations were extensive, you really only need a suitcase of clothes and you're all set! Thank you for sharing your space. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
This was a charming, old house full of beautiful pieces of furniture and links to the past, yet it had all the modern conveniences. Our host C.J. was extremely kind and welcoming, even exchanging messages with us before we arrived. The kitchen is a chef's dream, as well as many beautiful sitting areas inside and outside. We especially enjoyed the fire table on the outside deck by our room. We hope to book another stay in the future so that we have more time to explore this beautiful area.
We wanted a house near my mom's who was hosting our annual family feast for Christmas Eve. I needed a kitchen to prepare my food, and this was THE dream kitchen. The home is even more gorgeous than the pictures. Cathy Jo was super attentive even on Christmas day! Other reviews are absolutely accurate.
My daughter and I were delighted with our stay at Cathy Joâs bed and breakfast from the moment we arrived. She was a warm and welcoming host who thought of every detail. The home was charming, the bedding was comfortable, there were abundant snacks, and Cathy Jo personally assisted us with our visit in Mentor/ Cleveland. We appreciated her hospitality in every way.
Quick and friendly communication with the host. Answers quickly to messages. She greeted us when we got there and showed us around. Very welcoming and friendly. Spacious house with multiple porches for sitting outside to eat or relax. Close to some restaurants and other places to get things you need. Very close to the lake and not far from downtown Cleveland. Well stocked for cooking or whatever you need. Highly recommended.
