Love this property. Beautiful, vintage, comfortable and relaxing all at once. The ages range from 81 to nine. All had a spot for reading, for playing on the beautiful lawnwhich unfortunately has been attacked by gophers and for privacy in four bedroomsand two in the guesthouse. Would love to stay longer as it is one of my favoriteVRBO's.

We had a family celebration for 11 people, so we also rented the cottage. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the house and yard is beautiful. The house is really unique, and it was fun to explore all the nooks and crannies. We really appreciated the great playground because we had 4 grandchildren to keep busy. We also appreciated the extra fans because it was quite warm, and we used them all! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking appliances and dishes. We took advantage of the offer for wine tasting and discount purchases at Babcock Winery. The winery and store was amazing and we all had an excellent time.

We enjoyed our time here. It’s a lovely little house. We rented both the main house and the cottage. A few things to mention: this house could really use an upgrade of towels and linens. That was the one universal complaint in my group of six women in their early 50s. Also it was fairly well appointed but not completely. For example no coffee filters for the coffee maker. So overall pretty good but some room for improvement.

Best house for family get together

Unique, beautiful, artistic, super invested house w plenty of indoor and outdoor space for alone and together. This home away from home was a big reason for an unforgettable long family weekend.

Family wedding weekend

This house was perfect for our family while visiting Montecito for our niece's wedding. The layout is great so you don't feel on top of each other, yet there's plenty of space to be together. The kitchen was a wonderful space to cook, drink some wine and hang out together. Authentic vintage charm and a perfect location.

Very Relaxing idyllic Property

We are a family of four and had a few friends join us. The kids were always playing in the yard and finally off electronics! Such an amazing place and had such a great feel. We would love to come and stay again .

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. It was a calm retreat from the hustle and bustle of graduation weekend. It felt like walking in to a modern history book. The surroundings and building are so nicely restored and the furnishings are carefully thought out and comfortable. We would stay here again for sure.

This was a beautiful, exactly-as-promised property. It's genuinely historic and authentically decorated while still being totally comfortable/cheerful. Premium linens, more than enough bathrooms, all kinds of spaces to read, converse, contemplate, visit, etc. We have 2 teenagers and they especially liked the big dining room table -- lotsa' room. Hosts replied immediately to any/all contacts.

The home was exactly as pictured. It was a beautiful, private property ideally situated close to town but also right across the street from a sweet little walking trail. The living spaces worked perfectly for our family and the backyard was terrific for sunny relaxing afternoons!

Wedding weekend bliss

The most beautiful and comfortable place for my family to stay for our wedding weekend. Every room is unique and gorgeous, and I couldn’t imagine a better spot to spend time with loved ones, and to get ready with my sisters, mom and bridesmaids on our special day. Absolutely stunning. Beutiful Villa

We stayed at the Babcock house when my son was getting married in Montecito. The house created a calming, homey oasis for our family during a very busy time. We all said it was a little piece of Italy in CA! We would definitely stay there again. We also rented the charming back-house so that we would have the entire compound. Thank you!

Pure magic

This house has unbelievable charm and character. My large family and I stayed here for 4 days and not once did it feel overcrowded. The large space is great for everyone to relax in their own areas. We fell in love with the house, and will never forget the family dinners and memories we have created here. Amazing.

Relax in Montecito

We had just an amazing time in this Montecito home. The property is special. Just a vintage home that is comfortable with fun and special decor. The garden is exceptional. After the hustle and bustle of Santa Barbara we loved returning to the relaxing grounds. The outdoor spaces were fantastic and our 2 dogs enjoyed it all fully. After dinner in the garden we ended every evening in the large living room with the stone fire blazing. Terrific!

Ahhhhmazing!

We are a group of 10 women who travel around the state running half-marathons and enjoying mamas weekends away. This was - by far - the most beautiful house we have ever rented. The grounds are beautiful, the house and guest house easily big enough to house all of us, and the kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were wonderful about giving us advice before we got there, and their wines were fantastic! I would recommend this house to anyone coming to Santa Barbara with a big group. We hope to be back!
