Whether you enjoy surf fishing, moonlight strolls on the beach, or merely catching some 'rays' with friends and family, this home will provide you with the vacation experience of a lifetime!

The ground level features a recreation room with foosball, air hockey, Ping-Pong, a big-screen smart TV with Netflix streaming, a wet bar with a mini-fridge and a full-size fridge, shares a bath with a room with two DuoBunks. A bedroom with two singles and a laundry area complete this level. Play a game of 'wild horse' at the basketball goal outside!

On the mid-level, you'll find five bedrooms: A primary bedroom, two queen bedrooms with a connecting bath, and another bedroom that shares a connecting bath with a room with a bunk set.

The top level features a light-filled great room, a big-screen smart TV with Netflix streaming, a dining area, a kitchen with granite countertops and double ovens; a half-bath and an adjoining beautiful queen primary bedroom. Enjoy a meal on the front deck picnic table or relax in the top deck hot tub with awesome sunset views!

Some of the amazing amenities offered include private unheated pool that's one of the largest private pools in Whalehead, Polywood loungers and Adirondacks, a hot tub, WiFi, nine TVs, two DVD players, Netflix streaming on smart TVs (great room and rec room), a wet bar with a mini-fridge, an additional full-size refrigerator on the ground floor, Ping-Pong, air hockey, foosball, a basketball goal, beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the top deck, and beach access within 190 yards.

Things to Know
For January and February bookings, please contact the property management company to ensure the hot tub is available.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Private Pool Dates: The private pool is open May 1st through October 15th. The private pool is unavailable outside of these dates.
This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.

Clean, conveniently located rental home

We had a great stay! House was clean very well appointed with everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Proximity to the beach made it even better. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome location

We loved how close we were to the beach, the number of beds and bedrooms was perfect for our big family, we loved the kitchen space and game room and hot tub.

The good with the bad.

Large, well laid out house near beach

First, I will say this was a substitute house when our original house that we booked had flooding issues. I was VERY impressed with Vacasa's quick response and suitable substitution. MIllenium Sunrise was well suited to our needs with enough bedrooms and convenient location close to the original booking. This house was large and with a well thought out floor plan. Great room had plenty of seating for watching TV, watching the sunrise and watching the sunset! Plenty of seating for eating as well at 2 tables and kitchen bar. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to work around. Master bedroom upstairs, most bedrooms on mid floor. All with great views and most with connecting baths and decks. 2 more bedrooms on ground floor with small kitchen, laundry and games. Great ocean view from top deck. Short walk to the beach. Overall we had a very pleasant vacation! My only complaint is that the ground and mid floors (and stair landing) had a strong musty odor that lingered throughout the stay.

Wonderful location, spacious and well equipped home. Beautiful views. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities needed. Ample Deck and pool furniture - very nice. Bathrooms and some furniture dated. Overall wonderful rental.

As expected.

We had a good stay. Great proximity to the beach. We did have an issue with the air conditioning unit for the top floor, but rental agency was prompt in getting window units until they could get there the next day to replace the unit. Kitchen is well equipped. The two dishwashers were great. We had 12 people and two families. There was plenty of room for everyone. They have a gas grill which was great and the hot tub was clean and great as well. As with most rentals, they provide the minimal amount of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, so bring your own. That is not unusual at all. We’ve been coming to OBX for years and every rental has been that way. Overall a great stay.

Decent Place, Could be better

Overall a nice house with some recent updates and the location was great. There were some issues, though. House was advertised as having a ping pong table and it was in the photos, but there is no ping pong table. There are two dishwashers, which would be great with a large group and a lot of cooking, but one of them was broken so that feature didn't matter. First level of the house had a strong musty smell. We then discovered a leak in the half bath when one of our group members was woken up by water dripping on his head from above. They had to come out and cut a big hole in the ceiling to dry it out and fix the leak. Some other areas of the house could use a bit of maintenance. Deck furniture was great, hot tub and pool were nice. It's a good house, but it could be great if some of these maintenance issues were kept up more regularly. The Vacasa staff was very responsive in fixing the issues that came up as much as they could during our stay.

Relaxing beachhome for large group

We were a party of 17 and all enjoyed our vacation very much. We spent the majority of our time hanging around the house because we had so many things to do there yet we were very close to the beach. This property is not on the beach but right across the street from houses that are. The pool was great to have - we also enjoyed the hot tub and a large living areas for playing games and watching movies together. Some of the bedrooms are bigger than others and some share a bathroom . Property communication was digital which worked fine for most needs. Once we were on the property site putting in request for any thing we needed including maintenance or responded to an a day or less. I would have liked to have had a disposal in the sink and volleyball net in the pool!

Family Wedding

We had a family wedding at the Whalehead and found this the perfect place for us. Five branches of the family needed rooms plus a few singles here and there. We ended up being the central location for before and after gatherings each day. Our location was the only one with enough of a common area to comfortably have our group congregate and also provided plenty of entertaining activities. We are a competitive bunch and really enjoyed the ping pong, air hockey and other amenities. Pool area, new grill and proximity to beach big pluses. I will admit that certain areas of the place were a little dinged up (door on master bedroom cracked, but fine from outside of room), we were also missing a few pillowcases in places (extra/unused beds provided what we needed), and you need to make sure that when you shop for supplies, you get EVERYTHING. Minimal soap, paper goods, trash bags, no extra cleaning supplies, and no kitchen/cooking supplies as in salt, pepper, oil, (nothing). Rent many homes, I'm used to a small amount of that type of convince. Overall, great place to congregate and entertain. Perfect for multiple families with children.

Beach week in OBX

The property met our basic needs and was well located. The house was older and had some issues. The fridge leaks onto the kitchen floor during its defrost cycle and has warped the wood. There were some basic supplies such as garbage bags that were not provided, so we had to buy EVERYTHING. We ended up leaving supplies like Windex and scissors behind for future guests. Also, no broom or vacuum for us to clean basic dust or spills. The management company left three large laundry bags sitting in the driveway and it wasn't clear if they were clean or dirty and whether they were intended for us. The lower level of the house definitely smelled mildewy upon our arrival and we left the de-humidifier running all week to get rid of it. Overall, slightly below our expectations but it was great to have many bedrooms and a large common area for our group of 14 to spend time together.

Family Holiday Turned Nightmare

This year we decided to bring our family together under one roof for Christmas, and OBX was the perfect place given the travel times from our respective destinations. 4 families, including two children 2 and under drove over 5 hours in a winter storm (not known at the time) to arrive at Millennium Sunrise. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a home noticeably unclean. We attempted to overlook this, but as the night went on, we noticed more things that were unkept, including floors that were not swept and a tub that had standing water as if someone had taken a bath recently. When we woke up the next morning, we realized that there was no water in the home at all. After calling multiple times starting at 10am, someone finally came to the house at 1pm. With 17 people in the home and 2 of those 2 and under, all the toilets became biohazards and unsanitary to the point of us having to leave the home to go to a local Harris Teeter to relieve ourselves. It was not until 4pm that we were able to move to a new place after the repairman confirmed a bursted water pipe. Upon getting to the new home, it was also apparent that this home was also unclean-- we noticed dust and even a used bandaid that was left in the bathroom. The worst part however was not having hot water for over 48 hours. We were reduced to washing our children in freezing cold water or extemely cold showers. After calling multiple times, we still did not get someone to the home until hours later on the day after Christmas only to be told that the issue was not something that could be easily fixed. By this time, we were due to check out the next day, so we suffered. Never could I have imagined a family trip resulting in this many issues within such a short period of time. A time that was supposed to filled with family and memories was essentially a stop and go ordeal of solving very large repair issues that should never have been the responsibility of us as guests. Furthermore, while there was customer service given, it was not enough and very reactive as opposed to proactive. Knowing that a serious storm was on the horizon, an email should not have been seen as sufficient. Guests should have been warned via text or call about the ensuing dangers and potential issues that may occur in freezing temperatures in an area not equipped to handle it. While the time cannot be replaced, I expect and would greatly appreciate full compensation that would help to at least make our family feel heard and seen for the experience we had this holiday weekend.

Great get away!

The house was great.! Clean and well taken care of. The deck furniture was amazing and everything you could think of needing in the kitchen was there including 2 dishwashers. If there was any drawback it may have been the beds were a little uncomfortable. I would stay here again and I hope to do so next year and the year after that.

Great beach access! Large enough for multiple families

Had a great time visiting. 3rd floor was a wonderful indoor / outdoor space. Great spot to see the sunrise in the AM without walking to the beach. Kitchen is a galley with 2 dishwashers which was a major plus. Game room was a plus on a rainy day. House needs a little touching up but nothing major. Some updating has been made lately especially in the bathrooms. We had a blast hosting our family reunion here.

First Family Vacation

Our family really enjoyed Millennium Sunrise. The house is really spacious, the decks made it feel so much bigger. When we weren’t at the beach the kids stayed in the pool or the game room downstairs. The kitchen is very well stocked with just about anything you’d ever need to cook/serve a meal for a large group (we had 13). We were all able to enjoy meals together and when needed there was enough space to “get away” and find a space to yourself. This property is located near enough to shopping/sightseeing/recreation that you don’t ever have to drive too far if you are interested in those things. We all agreed that we would visit again!

Wish it was cleaner

Great location! But cobwebs all over the decks and some inside. Needed a good power wash. But had two dishwashers, a grill, great variety of pots and pans. I want to stay in the house again next year, but will request an extra cleaning first.

Wonderful stay beautiful property

The house is beautiful, just needs a little deep cleaning. Stained chair covers, dusty knickknacks, front entrance to home full of dead bugs. Over all I would give the home a B rating.

OBX Family Vacation 2021

Bathroom mold and mold in the vents. 1 of 2 dishwashers did not work. Best outdoor furniture; Pool design safe for kids & pets. Great TVs. Thermostat was not programmable—a real hassle in the hot weather.

Great house to rent!

Close to the beach access! Great pool and area around pool! Outside furniture was amazing! The kitchen had lots of everything from extra plates, mugs, silverware to baking dishes. The owners have really taken care of the house and want people to enjoy it and it shows. Had a great time and will be back!
