This place was very very clean and inviting, great location, the owner was very nice, we had a great stay, the VRBO app didnât give us the information we needed to get in however it did give us the owners information and he helped us. I would highly recommend staying here.
A very good accommodation for us as we are familiar with the area. The cottage is private, secure, well equipped and maintained. This is not part of a complex so there is no pool or exercise facility but the very good Eldorado Pool and Fitness Center is a pleasant 10 minute walk. Bob was great to deal with.
This is our favorite place to stay when visiting relatives in Scottsdale. The neighborhood is lovely for walks! The patio is perfect for morning coffee. Bed and furnishings are comfortable. H Bob is a great host. Hope to stay here again!
We were there for 5 weeks for work (Spring Training for the Giants) . Bob was a great host, the property worked well for us and with 2 dogs the backyard was a nice plus for them.
It's an older property but clean and well equipped. Unlike some vrbos that are noisy this is in a quiet area. Having a private garage and washer and dryer are also nice.
We found the place as advertised, clean, everything had its place
My wife and I enjoyed our stay.
Nice and convenient location in Scottsdale
The owner was attentive and supportive
We had total privacy
No hidden surprises
The area is very bike friendly
I would recommend this property
Who pays for damage to garage door? The client or home owner.Garage door did not go up all the way every time and hit it with my auto. Home owners policy or my auto.
Check in was easy. Robert was hospitable. We had use of bikes with access to green belt. Quiet neighborhood had nearby restaurants. We hope to book again when we return to Scottsdale.
Robert is a great host. Communication was good with everything explained well. The rental is clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. All of the utilities and appliances worked as they should with no issues. The area is quiet and we enjoyed the nearby park, the private patio with grill and watching the numerous hummingbirds at the feeder. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
More positives than negatives: quiet, close to park, gym, and pool, pet friendly, nice patio and garage, very clean. Negatives: towels and sheets very worn, kitchen tiny, (hard to prepare much more than a one pot meal).
Bob is THE best host! He was super flexible and responsive with our arrival and departure times. The cottage is the perfect size for a single person or a couple. It was very clean and well-appointed with furnishings and amenities. The yard space is small, but totally adequate for our dog and a quiet morning cup of coffee or afternoon cocktail. His landscaping is immaculate and has a San Diego-esque vibe. We would most definitely stay here again!
The location was a short ride to the activities and all the downtown Scottsdale has to offer. Likewise, this spot provides easy access to Phoenix and Tempe but also to the wonderful hiking opportunities in north Scottsdale and relatively close Sedona.
Bob was an excellent host and the home is a perfect spot for two people with a small but enjoyable outside patio. The place was extremely clean and well appointed. While Bob is on the property, he is extremely private with his guests and other than contacting him, if needed, we would otherwise not know he was there. We recommend the place highly and look forward to staying there again in the future.
The home is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes. All the expected appliances are provided and functional. Nice size bedroom with a comfortable bed. Bathroom is clean and very functional. I consider it a bonus to have a garage available. The home is close to pretty much everything. Nearby Eldorado park was within walking distance and offers great walking and biking paths. The host was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this home and would definitely stay again.
This cottage was ideal for our needs. We appreciated the number of lights in the cottage which made it easy for both of us to read at the same time in the living room and in the bedroom. Poor lighting has been an issue for us in previous properties.
The kitchen is tiny, but we had everything we needed except for an oven. Loved being able to eat an orange off the tree every day.
This quiet, clean, and comfortable guest cottage was the perfect place for the 2 of us to explore Scottsdale. It was a joy to have coffee on the beautiful and private patio/garden area in the morning, while watching the hummingbirds sipping from the blooming plants and trees, and then to be able to grill our dinner in the evening. A big bonus for us was being able to park our car in our own garage. Bob, our host, was friendly, helpful, attentive, kind, and very accommodating. The location of the cottage was super, being close to Eldorado Park, which is a block away and has walking/biking paths that continue for miles in both directions; with easy access to stores; and the free shuttle that took us to Old Scottsdale. We also appreciated having the use of Bobâs bicycles to pedal for miles around this beautiful area. 5/5 stars for this delightful cottage.
Bob was a great host, quiet and the location was perfect.
Overall, it was a good stay. However, I would suggest an update of the place as it is outdated. The plastic flowers, magazines and nick knacks take up room where a person could utilize the space, since space was limited. The coffee maker is way too small and only makes a couple of cups of coffee. The towels were worn down and need to be replaced. The couch was very uncomfortable and dated. Also, the cleaning of the place was okay. There was a tiny bit of remanence of stool in the toilet, it smelled of vinegar when we walked in and I dropped something behind the couch, and there were a number of dead bugs. I was a bit disappointed, but not to the point where I complained because overall like I said, we had a pleasant stay.
Retired.. I have one daughter and two grand children who live in the Phoenix area. I enjoy gardening, water sports, and riding my mountain bike and of course morning walks.
