Relax and Unwind at the Creekside Cottage! Near wineries & dog friendly.

Enjoy relaxing to the sounds of the babbling creek while sipping wine in the hot tub or sitting around the fire pit! Just 10 minutes from the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia. Dog friendly & convenient to local wineries! Huge yard perfect for letting the kids explore.

Whether you're visiting the North Georgia mountains for a wedding, winery tours, one of our many festivals like Oktoberfest, admiring the fall leaves, a college graduation, a family vacation, or in hopes of striking it rich while panning for gold, we're certain that our home will be a place of rest and relaxation during your stay.

Visit the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia nestled in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the quaint little German town it is today.

Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest celebrations!

Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are countless hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip.

Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more!

Our mountain cabin was built in 1997. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a kitchen and dining area. Nearly 1000 sq. ft. of wrap around screened in porches to take in the fresh mountain air and sounds of running water. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, slip into the hot tub with a glass of wine or make s'mores by the camp fire out back.

There is a smart doorbell installed by the front door with audio and video recording capabilities for security purposes.

This booking was excellent for us for our visit to Helen for a VW car show. The property itself was cozy and well appointed. The wrap around enclosed porch was such a bonus with our young children, not to mention all of the toys and activities for children in the house. There were other kid safety gates and thoughts put into the property as well. Food options, activities, local history, pertinent house information, check details and more were all very readily available in the binder provided by the host(s). Another bonus was the water pressure was very good. All in all, would love to stay again. Very clean, comfortable, and well priced compared to other similar options during my stay.

Only things negative were the beds are very hard (and I usually prefer hard beds)The house is very loud and and any sound really reverberates throughout...It has lots of amenities, the location was good

Sorry to hear you didn't find the mattresses to your liking. I'll certainly check to make sure the mattress toppers are still on them, as guests might sometimes remove them. With mostly open living space, I could see how larger groups like yours may generate excess noise.

What an amazing place! This super clean and cozy cabin is nestled in such a peaceful location. We are actually from the area but rented for myself, and daughters for the youngest one's wedding nearby. Could have lived on the screened on wrap around porch with multiple lounging areas. Between the wedding and the rain we unfortunately never got to enjoy the hot tub or the serene creek area complete with swing. And if I were a dog, this is the place to stay! The owners have pet related items on porch complete with fluffy dog bed! THE place for a small family with a dog! Owner was so friendly, responsive and flexible. Definitely what other VRBO owners could stand to aspire to.

Everything here was top notch. Hot tub and extra amenities were clean and well maintained. The rooms and house itself had plenty of great stuff for our group of adults and also made us all want to come back with our families because of how well equipped it was for kids too. Between the porch, fire pit, hot tub and amazing creek seating area we had so much to do outside that we spent almost none inside.

We had an amazing time with our 2 pups. Mitch and Monyah were the perfect hosts in accommodations, responded to our questions in a timely manner, provided everything one could imagine away from home. By far the most thought-out accommodations for families. The cabin had everything from kitchen supplies to security for the kids on the screened-in porch. We loved the scenery and privacy. The location to Helen and the surrounding area was great. We highly recommend Creekside Cottage!

I'm a happily married father, local real estate broker, nature and wildlife photographer, volunteer soccer coach, world traveler, outdoor enthusiast, adventure junkie, working for an international Christian missions organization.

I'm a native North Georgian. Born, raised, and currently living in Gainesville, just 20 minutes south of Dahlonega. My wife, Monya, and I met at Young Harris College in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and then hung around Athens for a few years to earn our degrees from the University of Georgia. It was love at first sight. It just took her a few years to realize it. We got married in the fall of 2007 at Big Canoe, yep you guessed it... in the mountains. She went on to get her master's from Brenau University and is an elementary school teacher. She thinks she's smarter than me, she's probably right. She's certainly better looking.

Our team consists of our daughter, Adri (9), and our son, Adler (6). I always tell everyone, "we've done our part and created our replacements". She's compliant and contemplative, like her mother, and he's our little strong-willed explorer, just like his old man. We have the most gentle and loving Great Dane Lab mix named Sophie, a temperamental self absorbed cat named Coal, and a spastic rescue squirrel named Lucky.

My hair is quickly turning gray. It started at 17. I like to think of it as my pre-mature crown of glory. It's probably just hereditary. And yes, I was born with a beard.
