The house is so charming and comfy. We were so close to many of the things we were planning to do. The only thing I found lacking was a slightly poorly equipped kitchen…no pot holders, few dish towels and measuring cups tools. The oven caused a problem which I reported immediately. The host was so apologetic. The outside grill filled that need and was more fun than cooking inside anyway!

The large house suited our group. We found the kitchen well appointed and when we asked for more mugs the host sent us more. We could not work the heat and the upstairs was cold but the host adjusted that for us. All in all, we had a great time and the house was perfect for us.

This place was fantastic for our group but it does need some updating. The kitchen needs some real organization and the stove was hard to operate so keep that in mind if you plan to cook. The pictures are likely from when they first opened and the place has just gotten a little beat up over time. All in all it was nice but we did feel a little catfished hahaha.

Great location for our stay and we enjoyed it. Only drawback was not being able to get college football on the tv on Saturday; but perhaps that was user error.

we spent a long weekend here while visiting our daughter at loyola. location was absolutely perfect--easy walk to loyola and edgewater, and quick walk to the red line too! plenty of space for all twelve of us, 3 parking spots was huge! we'll be back!

Guys Autoshow weekend

Great place to stay, we had 10 people for a long weekend. Location is close to the red line, good restaurants close by, and really great communication with the staff. Super clean as well!

Incredible home

This place is absolutely incredible. The location is right by the water, but still close to the city. The home itself is extremely comfortable and clean. Everything functions properly. We were fortunate to stay here.

My family stayed there although I only visited twice, before most of them arrived and then midtime.

In the bedrooms the temperatures varied and didn't seem to be adjustable.Basically, they were content.

Graduation Party

We stayed here for a Loyola Graduation. The location was terrific and the space accommodated a lot of guests for a backyard celebration. The host was very responsive when we asked if we could get the yard mowed and outside area cleaned up before the party.

Very nice clean property. Pretty much had everything we needed. Some of the furniture was a little less than comfortable to sit on. But we made do.

The house was big enough for whole family. It was also in a great location. However, the locked bedroom doors were a big inconvenience and the carpeting was disgusting. So dirty. Did not like walking in it without shoes.

Enjoyed a visit in March with me and six friends.

Many small details helped make our three day stay enjoyable. The kitchen came stocked with coffee, fresh fruit and other breakfast food. I enjoyed locally made art in the rooms. We had a cozy fire in the backyard firepit Everything was set up to let you spread out and enjoy relaxing time. There was a stereo with a turntable and a collection of vinyl records that we forgot to try out but thought was cool. The living room TV had four or five remote controls and I can not figure out how to get anything to play when that happens. It almost felt as though we were house-sititting for someone who has good taste and a spacious home. I'd be happy to come there with another group in the summer to enjoy the front porch.

Mixed bag

First the good: the house is indeed in a great location within an easy walk to the beach. It does have three dedicated parking spots which we were able to squeeze to accommodate four cars at times. It does sleep a ton of people and has very spacious common areas. It was nice that the deck grill is plumbed to gas taking away the worry of running out. The stocking of the kitchen with milk, juice, bagels and eggs was a nice touch. The owner was pleasant and responsive. Now the not so good: this is a well-used house that has not been especially well loved. It is pretty shabby and grimy with bathroom grout that has not been properly cleaned and accumulations of grime in the kitchen. Kitchen is minimally stocked and completely disorganized and the cupboards and drawers are filthy. The carpet is badly stained in multiple areas giving it at least the appearance of being dirty. The beds are OK but not overly comfortable and the towels mismatched and worn. No kitchen towels despite two requests resulting in an Amazon delivery that arrived too late to launder and use. Free street parking impossible to find in this area. There were some obvious safety concerns including a bathroom electrical outlet that was falling out of the wall and secured with loose scotch. tape, and a gas pipe for the fireplace wrapped in electrical tape. Weird signage scrawled on scraps of paper and taped to the walls. With a little elbow grease and some proper maintenance this could be a really great place!

Our stay here was great! We had plenty of room. The bedrooms are all upstairs, while the kitchen and dining area were in the main floor with worker great.The house is older, but was very clean and we really enjoyed the rustic vibes of the house.The location was another plus. Red line train is not a far walk away at all. And there are several restaurants and such within a close walk/drive.We will definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Chicago.

The downstairs was a beautiful, open space which was perfect for what we wanted! We had the whole family in town, so the open floor plan and plethora of seating options made it perfect to spend time as a group! The upstairs was nice, and the beds and bathrooms were clean. Very cute neighborhood and within walking distance from a ton of local shops!

K5 Cubs Game

Upon arriving, front door code wasn’t working. They reset code and it worked. Also needed to reset door 2. Smoke detector battery in room 5 was beeping in the middle of first night. . We took the battery out. Enjoyed our stay.

Great house for a family gathering

Great location, a couple blocks from Lake Michigan. Great to have onsite parking. Since ice dispenser did not work would have been nice to have ice in the freezer. Host was very prompt in bringing water when bottles ran out. Very nice to have breakfast food items available. Lots of room for our family to eat and play games.
