Excellent Family Getaway

My husband and our 2 young boys (4 and 2) had a wonderful time! Dan was super friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The boys had a blast going to the beach, but also hanging out by the bay right out our back door. Would absolutely come back again!

Terrific place to stay!! Only negative is the need to use the ferry for arrival. That should have been made Very Clear on the description of the property. Otherwise, it was a fabulous getaway!

Perfect in every way!

The Fire Island Boatel was even better than we expected. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Dan who took care of us right away. We were able to enjoy the property while waiting for the room to be ready, which was way ahead of schedule. The room was spacious, clean, and provided all the supplies we could possibly need. Highly recommend!

We loved it!

We loved the property!! Our stay was fabulous. Of note, the sliders were terrible and the bathroom door would not close. Lastly, the fabric on the couch was dirty and needs to be cleaned. Thank you for prioritizing cleanliness in every other aspect.

Great weekend in Kismet

This property is all you need for a comfortable and fun stay on Fire Island. Well maintained property, clean and newly renovated rooms. Playground just across the way with tennis courts. The Dive restaurant has excellent food and was furthest thing from a Dive with So-Cal vibes. We arrived by boat and our boat slip was steps away from our room. Dan, was extremely hospitable and accomodating when we wanted to stay an extra night! Cannot wait to return.

Relaxing weekend

This was my first time at fire island, and I didn’t know I had to take a ferry to get there (don’t laugh) 😁. Dan was amazing! He guided on where to park, how to take the ferry, and was waiting for me when I got there. The boatel is like 30 seconds walk from the pier, and I must say, it is just gorgeous! The rooms are very clean and bright, and very well equipped. I will definitely be going back.

Peaceful, relaxing, convenient stay

We loved our time at the Boatel. This was our first time and we did not know really what to expect. The hosts were great and answered all of our questions. We were met at the ferry dock which was just a short walk away. Beautiful bay beach to swim in. Gorgeous sunset views. The ocean surf a bit rough for swimming, but a short walk away and still beautiful. The room was spotless and had basic cookware and dishes. It was remarkably quiet despite the close proximity to a couple of restaurants and bars. Fun walkable side trip to the Fire Island Lighthouse. Close proximity to the Saltaire market. Take the water taxi to Sunken Forest but bring dramamine lol! I highly recommend!

Boatel great summer getaway

My stay here at Boatel was so relaxing and peaceful.. especially the beautiful sunsets at night! Dan the manager was the best, so accommodating! Love also having access to the beach 🏖and Ocean🌊. Very happy to have Lifeguards on duty also.. I highly recommend this great summer getaway.

College reunion

This was the perfect spot for a girls college reunion after 18+ years of not seeing each other. We couldn't believe we literally walked off the ferry to the Boatel entrance (we even walked right past Dan the property manager who was waiting for us!). Having our own beach was perfect and we were able to venture over to the nearby towns on foot or water taxi. After seeing the quaint homes in Kismet and Saltaire, we were so thankful to have had our own waterfront property. The room was stocked with all toiletries, four beach chairs, and a beach umbrella that our shade-seeking friend loved. The stores and restaurants had everything we needed and the staff was very friendly everywhere. Would definitely recommend!

All the essentials in one place!

Perfect, family friendly, accommodations. Pristine rooms and property. Dan was available to answer any and every question from where to rent bikes and buy groceries to other "locals only" hacks. Truly felt like we had left the city a million miles away...even though it was only a 2 hr drive (and a 30 minute ferry). Speaking of the ferry, it's literally right there and I was pleasantly surprised that it was very quiet and peaceful, didn't feel disruptive to the tranquil environment. Best of all, for a family of 4, I didn't need to bring more than 4 bags of groceries and a couple of swim suits.

Beautiful, new and clean

Beautiful setting on the Bay, comfortable room with all brand new fixtures, furniture, appliances…Loved the variety of areas to lounge in…front “yard” facing the Bay or back lawn with so much room, so many different seating areas….And a lovely on-site Mgr who looked after us, was quick to respond to questions and a few requests. Can’t wait to stay here again !

Beautiful, quiet, clean and close to everything

Wonderful place, great location, very clean, very nice facilities with garden and small private beach by the Bay, excellent for kids. Steps away from ferry, restaurants, market, playground and basketball and tennis courts. Perfect hosts, always available to help or answer any question. Short walk away from ocean beach. Hope to return soon.

The Brilliant Boatel!

From the moment we stepped onto the property, The Boatel in Kismet did not disappoint. Myself and 2 others were staying for the night and couldn't have been happier. Everyone that works there is super friendly. The suites are gorgeous and very roomy! Each has its own private deck that overlooks the bay. The day we were leaving, we were a little delayed because we were going to book another night! I highly recommend The Boatel! I can not wait to get back there. Thank you!!!!
