Stayed for a birthday weekend and it was a comfortable and enjoyable time. Great amenities coupled with beautiful views helped us want to relax at home more than leave for birthday fun. There were a few broken items and missing pieces to things we used or needed but otherwise the experiences was flawless. Alan is a great host and very communicative. He goes out of his way to give you piece of mind and to make sure you're taken care of.

The home is well laid out for larger groups. Lots of sleeping options and a very secluded location. We had a great time and would definitely come back again.

Property is very spacious, the hot water rarely stood hot, there was no internet our entire week there. Overall not very satisfied with this place.

Beautiful Property

This property is beautiful!! There was plenty of room for our family who stayed there (18) plus our family that visited us (23 in all). I was informed the day we were supposed to arrive that the furnace was broken. This meant no air conditioning and no heater. I explained to Alan that our family all were used to sleeping in a very cold environment and asked if he could offer us a discount. Instead of answering my question as he previously had done, he informed me that they would be installing portable air conditioners the day we arrived. There are four bedrooms. The air conditioners were installed in two of the bedrooms and the living room area. This meant that 6 of those staying would not be in an air conditioned room including two small children. It was extremely uncomfortable for those folks. Another issue we had was there were never enough towels for our group. I asked for more towels but Alan's response was there should be extra towels in the closets. We found one or two but not nearly enough for the number of people we had. We were washing towels several times a day. There was only one hand towel and one kitchen towel which was ridiculous. I asked for more but got no response.We also could not open the futon. I asked how to do it after all of the adults tried to open it and Alan said it opens just like any other futon. Well, it didn't. There were no sheets for it either. Despite all these problems we had a great time. We won't go back. We should have gotten a discount.

Small dream wedding

Alan is a great host. Very patient quick to replay and work with my while I planed my wedding at this beautiful place. Home is spacious, lots of beds my family from out of state loved it.

Great property!

The property is beautiful and perfectly fit the needs of my event. The barn is a great space for the birthday dinner I hosted and the house provided comfortable accommodations for the 9 women who also spent the night. Only thing keeping it from being excellent was unfortunately the oven was not clean and had cleaner left in it which we discovered after we had begun warming food! After airing it out and cleaning the oven it was a quick fix. Also only two mirrors in the whole house which are in the bathrooms and not enough towels for 10 ladies trying to shower and dress. Both are easy corrections and did not prevent us from having a great time. I would definitely stay here again. It’s a good value for all the space and included features you get with this property.

Alan went above and beyond for our stay. There was plenty of communication, amenities, space and the house and property were exactly as listed. Would definitely stay again!

Mostly good

The property and home are beautiful. A few bumps. The oven and grill were dirty. We had no baking sheet and bottom half of broiler pan was missing. The top half of broiler still had cheese crusted on. There was some random bits of garbage and personal items from previous house guests left around inside and outside of property. There were 6 adults and 1 child and only 7 towels in the whole house with no hand towels in bathroom or kitchen towels. The house also has a bit of a musty smell throughout. We did have a good time despite these items, and had plenty of room to spread out and have our own space. The master bath is especially spacious and beautiful.

Quiet Paradise in the Northwest

We had a girls retreat this weekend and had a great time. More than enough Comfortable beds for all. There is a small stream that runs through the property and a hot tub to soothe all our aches. The kitchen was modern and had all we needed for cooking. There is plenty of seating for games or a group dinner.

Comfy Christmas stay

The house was as advertised. We were there during a snow storm but were still able to get in and out. We had plenty of space and beds for our group. Was great to have the washer and dryer. Having digital door locks instead of keys is very convenient for a group.

Idyllic Property

Excellent house for large group, and it's nestled on a beautiful property. The Barn for hosting events worked perfectly our family/friends event. The kids loved being able to roam and run. Loved seeing the family of deer every day. Close by shopping...while still being nestled away from the world.

BIKE THEFT ATTEMPT

We got here 1 hr early and decided to drop by property to ask to unload valuables why we went shopping for groceries for our three day stay. We returned to find the owner/ manager with our bikes and bike rack loaded into the back of his red pickup truck.He knew we had been there as he sat and watched us drive away..He claimed he gets lots of free stuff and was taking our 5000.00 bicycles to the dump as they were in his garage....it got worse from there... no shoe house was absolutely not clean and I have many pictures to support that. The house was big. The dishonesty of the owner was frightening!...

Hi Keith, Why would I want to take your bikes? We have already cleared this up when we bumped into each other so I'm not sure why you are bringing this up again. You never reach out nor asked to check in earlier than the check in time. So why are you lying in your review? Show me where you told me that you were checking in earlier and that I have approved of you doing that? The cleaners never said anyone was checking in earlier. When I reach the house to drop off some items; I notice the bikes there and thought the previous guests left it behind as initially told you. I showed up there before your check in time so tell me why you were there before without any approval? To point me as someone who is dishonest and trying to steal your bikes is laughable as I told you it was a misunderstanding when you shouldn't even have drop it off without letting me know as I was hours before your check in time.
