Sylvester Farmhouse located in the Western mountains of Maine. It was constructed in 1904 and sits in Eustis Village. Conveniently located next to Trailsend Steakhouse. Property located on snowmobile and ATV trail and less than 20 minutes to Sugarloaf Mountain. Their are 5 other restaurants within 5 miles of property. Town beach on Flagstaff Lake a few miles away. Access to Dead River on property. Great river for canoe or kayak trips.
We loved the house and setting. The property was clean and able to accommodate 5 adults with no problems. Plenty of space! Sitting outside by the fire in October was wonderful! We'll definitely stay again!!
I never received any check information, such as how to enter property from anyone.I thin that someone could have reached out to me with this information. I went through the process to book and pay for the propert. To me, it's not too much to be informed of entry information
Loved the rustic feel of the farmhouse. Got to meet Steve and enjoyed the conversation. I had the most relaxed vacation I've had in years. Highly recommend. Looking forwsrd to my next visit!
This property was perfect for my family of 6 adults and one dog for the Christmas holiday! Located a few miles from the Cathedral pines hiking trails and down the road from a general store, the location of this property had everything we needed! The property itself was cute and had everything we needed and provided everyone with their own private space. Would certainly stay again!
Very comfortable property and a amazingl host. Property is very clean and well taken care of. Home has lots of character and tasteful updates that make the stay lovely. Nice for family and pets
We had a great time in Eustis! This house was perfectly located as a base for our hiking vacation. And WiFi permitted me to meet my virtual work responsibilities. The surrounding area is beautiful! Steve was available and helpful. Best of all, dog friendly! Hope to come back.
Quiet, restful farmhouse in Eustis Village, near Sugarloaf
This quaint farmhouse is on a quiet road and has everything you need for a home base. Steve was there to greet us and get us settled in. Our family stayed for five nights on a recent trip to ski at Sugarloaf (about 15 minutes away). The kitchen and baths had been updated and met all of our needs. There were two moderately stocked grocery stores within an easy drive and we were able to cook in each night. Just up the road we discovered an excellent sledding hill as well, so if you go in the winter, don't forget to bring a sled!
Everything as advertized. Friendly property manager. No complaints but one suggestion; add a couple of electrical wall adapters that adapt the modern day 3 pronged electrical cord (in the living room), say to charge your computer, to the 2 pronged wall outlet on some of the walls which were not converted to 3 pronged. Again this was a very minor inconvience and I wouldn't hesitate to rent here again. Thank you Steve and it was a pleasure to talk to you.
Myself and some friends rented this place together for a week and it was wonderful. The house is nicely deocrated with anything we needed. Steve was very friendly and helpful, very easy to talk to! The location is close to lots of activities, so we easily found something to do each day.
The house must have been built during the same time period as our own so it felt like we were at home. Same doors, hardware, trim etc. we found it cozy with lots of charm. Loved walking down to the river with the dogs. We were concerned about the remote nature of the town as we showed up without food, but then we discovered Pines Market 5 minutes away! Great stay. Thank you!
