Clean, bright and airy home on Sherwood Point, nestled amongst the trees just 15 mins., West of Sturgeon Bay in the Town of Nasewaupee - across the street from the Sherwood Point Lighthouse.

Fully equipped 2 Bedroom (a Queen Bed in the Master Bedroom and 2 Queen Beds in the Loft). In the Large Loft there is an additional Queen Blow-Up Bed. 1 roomy full bathroom provides ample space and includes washer/dryer within. Home includes forced air heat/air conditioning, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, full-sized oven/range, and microwave. At the footsteps of upper Door County!

Wonderful and relaxing to sum it up - we’ve been to Door County several times and the rental was the most comfortable, quiet and pleasant experience. It is a fresh, clean and roomy cabin. We enjoyed the deck seating for coffee, played Skipbo and were able to walk around the neighborhood just enjoying nature. We did get to Sturgeon Bay, Cave Point park and Potawatomi Park to check out areas we had not been before. These were nearby for short trips. Special thanks to Tom who was easy to reach and returned my call immediately. He resolved my concern the same afternoon.

Private & cozy, filled with light, clean and well equipped. Comfortable outdoor seating. Close to public beach access. Go stargazing on clear nights on the beach (though watch your step as it’s very rocky) - amazing! Location is in the country but short drive to Sturgeon Bay.

First of all, the pictures don't actually do the place justice. Sorry that might sound rough but when we all walked in we all were like holy *** this place is amazing! Great location, lots of space and the deck, the deck! With the gas fire table is FIRE! Outdoor fire pit wonderful as well. Fridge is perfect size, kitchen is also perfect size to have multiple people prepping and cooking. Location getting to and from town, perfect distance to all the spots. A wonderful time was had with our two sons who came from Nebraska, we came from Delaware. Living room is comfy as heck too. Wild turkeys, deer and black squirrels were seen. Not far from county parks and local watering holes either. 100 out of 10 if you ask us. Tom, thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with everyone. It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and forget about anything else. Dog friendly - Quiet - Relaxing - Gorgeous - Felt like we won the lottery staying here. Sorry I only got 2 pics, at the house I have video but you can't upload videos.

We loved this house! It was very clean and stocked with anything we needed. We really enjoyed how it’s tucked in the woods..such a peaceful and beautiful spot. We saw deer and turkeys each day as we were driving near the property. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I’d definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Somehow nicer than expected from the pictures. A quiet wooded area about 15 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay. It was much better option than a couple hotel rooms for our family of four for about the same cost.

July getaway

Loved the privacy. Everything we could have needed, super thoughtful. Saw deer, turkey, and squirrels all the first day. Disappointed no water access to even walk to for a sunset viewing, appeared to be all private unless we missed something, but we did drive around the neighborhood and saw nothing. Otherwise perfect stay.

Wonderful rental

This is a wonderful rental property. It is in a very quiet peaceful location (about 10 minutes south of Sturgeon Bay). The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked for those that want to cook (I do not!) We only used the master bedroom. The bed is very comfortable. The loft looks very nice with easy access via regular staircase. In the neighborhood is a local bar/grill (Sawyer Harbor Bar & Grill) that has good burgers and the staff is very friendly. Close to Sherwood Point lighthouse. Cabot Cove lookout is beautiful. We saw deer and fox while there. We would recommend and we will stay there again. We liked the location but we drive all over the peninsula, so the distance did not bother us and the distance from the business of the other towns was a welcome plus. Very good communication with the owners.

We had a nice relaxing time in Idlewild. The house was clean, in a quiet area, and near a light house and water access that we enjoyed walks to. Would visit again.

Fall Stay

This home was perfect for a Birthday Fall Getaway to see the sights of Door County. It was especially appreciated that our pup could join, so Thank You! We loved relaxing by the fire after a day of adventure (brought our own logs, but the house had fire starters which was so helpful!) and would have used the outdoor fire as well, but it was too windy. Loved the secluded location, and nearness to the lighthouse area which we explored in the morning.

Great Home Away From Home

Nice, quiet and secluded refuge away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to easily venture into Sturgeon Bay and upper Door County.

We are a young couple from Southeast Wisconsin and we just bought this second home to enjoy with our two daughters, fulfilling our dream of having an amazing place to get away for a respite when desired.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We found this property when walking with our brother/brother-in-law (who is just down the road right on the Bay) and ran into the original owners/builders of the property when it wasn't even for sale! They were so proud of their home they mentioned they may be interested in selling - since it was the second home of our dreams, well maintained, and near family, it was a match made in happy. Not to mention it's SO close to all the amenities Door County has to offer!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The home is nestled on a hillside in the wonderful wilderness on Sherwood Point near Potawatomi State Park and Idlewild golf course. Almost daily we are greeted by dear watching us through the windows while enjoying our coffee. A local tavern with excellent food (Johnny G's Fishing Hole) is within walking distance and their fish fry on Fridays and prime rib on Saturdays is outstanding! Sturgeon Bay is nearby with excellent shopping at some of our favorite stores including: Bliss Marketplace, Northern Territory, Bayside Bargains, Door County Antiques and Consignment Mall, Cornucopia, and T. Simon Jewelers! Excellent restaurants: Inn at Cedar Crossing, Trattoria Dal Santo, Kick Coffee, 5 and J Coffee to name a few!
